  • Rear window constantly wetted with “oil film” ?

    Another question I didn’t find an answer to anywhere! When I cleaned my rear window, and then I drove about 100km, I see in the rear-view mirror that the window starts to fog again! Doesn’t seem to me as if something was leaking on the cooling water system and that therefore occurs, but rather of the nature like a light oil film that wets the window… Maybe I never paid attention to it that this never really happened to me. Is that more normal, since the engine is just under the disc, or could it possibly be something in the wrong? Have the engine panels been broken down and looked at if there is something leaking and oil evaporates and thereby falls down on the disc! But is everything dry, at least what I can see from above! That one is egeal, which disc one has to clean every now and then is clear! Only just that the rear window in such a short time always scuffs… Rainer

  • Eco Mode Stinger

    Moin, I would like to know what the Eco mode in Stinger is important? So what does the vehicle do, do I only have 200 hp or are cylinders switched off? What happens to save fuel? In Smart mode, it is constantly switched back and forth between Eco and comfort, the sport is activated I could not watch. In the mode display in the middle screen. So as I said, what happens in Eco mode. Please no hypotheses but maybe even someone from Kia reading along here?

  • Common features of the Hyundai i30 N & Kia Stinger 2.0 Turbo engine

    Hello forum, as shown in the title above, I am interested in the Kia Stinger and the Hyundai i30N. I drive a Mazda MX-5 ND on my own Now to my question… Since Kia/Hyundai is practically a club, like VW, Audi, Seat etc. belong together and within a group like times and the same engines are offered in different models or have the same basic structure, the question arises to me whether the engines have common features with the above-mentioned models or so The Hyundai and the Kia differ in 5 hp but in the torque and the displacement are both identical. 5 hp can be achieved very easily by different exhaust systems. So why should a group build 2 different engines, which are practically not different in terms of power, torque and displacement?! If someone here knows more, I would be very grateful about answers LG

  • Electric open tailgate/lock manually lock for trunk lamp

    Hello, wanted to ask the following question. I still don’t have a vehicle with an electrically open tailgate. If you want to keep the tailgate open for a long time and also switch off the trunk light, I always did it like this, to bring the lock with an object (hook or similar) into the locking position, then the light went out and did not load the battery. If one of you has such a vehicle with an electric tailgate and can tell me if that is possible with such a vehicle and how does it behave?   • suitable battery for the Auris 2, Hybrid

    Hello, I got a Toyota Auris 2 Hybrid and this morning the message that the 12V battery is weak. I hung it to the charger, when it was plugged it had 11.8V. It is currently a 35Ah battery with 272A CCA, which also says “B20 (JIS)”. According to my research, this means that it has a compact size (about 197 x 129 x 202 mm). I am not sure if it is an AGM or normal lead-acid battery – there is nothing from AGM dra uf. Now I am looking for a suitable replacement battery, ideally with the same size (B20). Does anyone have experience which battery would be the best choice? Should I take an AGM or is it enough for a normal maintenance-free lead-acid battery? I have looked at the following options so far: If someone has installed a battery that fits safely, or knows a good source for an original battery, I would be grateful for tips!

  • Inspection costs Corolla Hybrid

    Hello Toyota municipality, my wife sent me today with her Corolla TS Trek to the dealer for the 1st inspection, she herself had no time. I drove there and also did not think about it further, had appointment, put car and finished. However, I ended up having to pay a lot. What is an average price for the 1st inspection in a normal area? We live here in the lowest east in a medium-sized city (about 200,000 inhabitants). AW price 9.90 EUR 1. Inspection 13 AW body inspection 2 AW air filter replace 2 AW cleaning air filter environment (?) 2 AW battery check 1 AW hybrid check 3 AW plus the necessary parts such as air filter, oil filter, sealing ring and oil. The oil was 4.2 liters 0W20 to 21,90 EUR per litre (trader does not fill in any oil). Is of course an expensive oil price but with my old Mazda that was also in the area and the inspection cost 250 EUR. Total cost inspection: 440 EUR (without a rental car). Of course you could have informed yourself about the price before, however, we went to this dealer because at that time he offered a very cheap new price (and I assumed that the workshop is then also cheap, at least with my Mazda so) and he also gave a 7-year guarantee (on everything, not only hybrid-we rksgarantie) and the condition for this is of course the service with it. Funnyly, 4 free inspections are included in the 7-year package, but the first 3 you have to pay fully and only from the 4th it is (the work performance) free.
