  • Screwdrivers wanted in Switzerland and Bavaria!!!

    Good evening dear community, have been the owner of a V70 1 built in 1997 2.5 10V 144 hp So now to my problem… Have problems with the ignition system as I suspect.. When I drive up under Last Berg the engine stutters more times less in warm condition.. Have replaced today the more badly patched hoses from the previous owner to the air filter box and the control unit against new ones. Result: gas acceptance more noticeable difference, but my problem with the stuttering under load at mountain on drives at 2000-3000 revolutions in the 2nd and 3rd gear has unfortunately not been spared.. I ask for help what can be the problem in your opinion.. Ignition plugs, distributor, ignition cable or the ignition coil ??? thank you in advance for your help.

  • Ground Zero Soundsystem

    Hello dear Volvo municipality, I wanted to ask if someone already has experience with the loudspeakers of Ground Zero, because my tweeters in the dashboard and one of the speakers and the rear doors are unfortunately defective and I am thinking about upgrading. I have thought about whether I take Koax speaker in front or whether that sound image changes too much. If someone already has experience with the loudspeakers of Ground Zero or has suggestions which I should rather buy I would be very happy about an answer.

  • Start problems 850 T5R, camshaft sensor?

    What do you need to do again? Patient: 850er T5R BJ. `95, LL 180.000km, timing belt made new problem: From time to time the guy just doesn’t want to start !!! You have to wait a little bit, try again, a little bit and then get really angry. Then suddenly he jumps on, as if nothing had been. Although he always needs some turns to ignite. But during the whole organ egg it never smells like ‘Sprit. So I changed the infamous Relay 103 (fuel pump) before. A few days was then also quiet. But unfortunately only a few days. Error message camshaft positioners. Have deleted errors, again everything was ok. Then the Lambdasonde went on (of course the light for the LS). Error message now: 1. Lambdasonde( front of the cat) and camshaft sensor broken. Or did I have to clear the errors again and Lambdasonde stays out. But car wanted to start again today only under protest. How should I take the most convenient approach? Can you clean the sensor? Can’t? The probe doesn’t?

  • New Phaeton acquired and electronic problems

    Hello everyone, my Phaeton for about 2 months is a V6 3.0 tdi. Built 03/2007. I have been able to find out for 3-4 weeks strange things about the electronics. Hope you can help me further. I have already posted one thing with the ACC. I have so far only changed the registration light on the car on LED and an MP3 player from Sololo installed. The following things are short or occur more and more often: ACC goes sometimes and sometimes not! In the on-board computer then ACC is defective. After a restart I can mostly use the ACC without restrictions again. In the morning the sliding roof went up once again from alone up to half. The bulb for standing light is defective. Today I have become dark on the highway once the ZAB for 10 seconds and has recharged itself. What can be the cause for the problems? What can someone tell me? I am actually very satisfied with the car up to the aforementioned dropouts. Can it have something to do with the LED lighting? CAN-BUS? Would I be very happy about your help.

  • steering wheel vibrates while driving

    Hello first of all, so I’m starting! I’ve had a Phaeton 5.0 V10 for 2 months now. The car is really fun and is full of power, I have only one problem now. At 260km/h the front tyre has burst quite well, had really had to get the cat under control. Then I drove to the tire dialer and ordered me 2 new rims and 2 tires, 20 inches wide. Because I had to wait a week to have the winter tires mounted and to drive on. I noticed that the steering wheel when driving Vibrated, at 80km/h it goes off and at 120 it stops. Since the tires were no longer good I thought it was up to the tires. A week later the summer tires, which I had to install immediately came up. But the problem is not gone, at 80km/h it starts and at 120 it stops. What can this be, it lies on the tires or is the damage higher than thought because of the tyre pitcher. Who can help me further, the tire dialer says that the tires have to be driven 😉 I need a lot of fun?

  • Phaeton buy a mistake?

    Hello everyone, I’m starting to wonder if the purchase of my big ship wasn’t a mistake. On the one hand, because, as described in the forum several times, he stayed for weeks with the friendly because he spent several weeks with me. On the other hand, because I somehow can’t cope with the suspension comfort. I had asked here in the forum about the cause of the jerking. A driving mechanic of the friendly looked at me only questioning and NOTHING. That should be road feedback! My old Toyota Camry, which I had before, swallowed something like that always, so I didn’t feel it! If I am on the road with the car, I don’t want to know how the roadground is, but I want to glide away quietly. Obviously, it’s not possible with my requirements! Am I too much influenced by American/Japanese suspension comfort, that German cars don’t seem comfortable to me then, too much must be expected of it? And finally, there is another kind of technical problem, that I’ll be warm in the car. If I drive to the friendly, it’s warm, I’m not too much to be able to find anything else to find anything more expensive. I should expect to find something more technical.

  • Ignition capel isolation

    Moin together, the days I drove with my elch for a time on the autobahn “strack”. after a certain time people took the motor sign and the motor jerked when giving gas – one cylinder is gone, as it turned out. the nice man from the adac then switched 2 ignition coils and see as it ran again. errors deleted everything in butter. now my question: the insulation cable of the ignition plugs is porous and dropped, i.e. the ignition plug cables (I mean it was 2 each) are directly on the engine block. the nice one from the adac I mean should install a new cable for protection from heat, because probably due to the heat development it came to a short conclusion. at skandix z.b. there are heat hoses, are these suitable for this purpose?

  • 1.0 ALL, Ruckeln while speeding up to motorway ride

    Good morning Motor Talk , I have a small problem : If I have driven my 1.0 Lupo ALL 200km motorway 120 – 130 km/h and then drive on a highway or into the village sometimes 2000 sometimes from 3000 rpm the engine starts to jerk strongly. Sometimes one is almost afraid that he runs out At the same time with the jerking spins also the speedo jumps from e.g. 60 to 20 km/h back and forth.   • agr valve exchange 400€???

    Hey, my vw lupo is just standing in the workshop because he jerked and flashed the yellow engine control light. Öamtc then read out the board computer and then it would appear that the agr valve has to be replaced / cleaned. So I commissioned the workshop to clean agr valve or if necessary to change it. Today I am called, the agr valve is replaced = 200€ material + 200€ work… But he still does jerk. The gentleman from the workshop thinks that the ignition coil is short from a cylinder and therefore he is jerking. Is this a reasonable price for the agr valve? Does it seem quite expensive and wv. it will cost me or should it cost to change the ignition coil? Mfg. Jonathan lupo

    Hello, I’ve become reasonable again, and just changed from Daimler to Volvo again. I’ve been driving the V70 as a diesel for quite some time, but not as a gasoline engine. Now I’ve got an offer for a 99’2.5 Benz. 144Ps with automatic and 230Tkm. The car is supposed to be in the garage, but I have no idea where I have to pay attention to it, except for the standard. Is the automatic something good? Are there technical highlights that I should pay attention to…. I’m grateful for every tip.
