Dear MotorTalk Community, my girlfriend has driven someone into her Opel Adam today. The accident was no longer tragic and the young man acknowledges his guilt completely. He has now asked us whether we can just clarify this without insurance and offered to transfer 500 euros. We also have no desire to clarify everything about the insurance now. I don’t know the exact variant of the car, but it is already 7 years old. We both have no idea. So we are willing to accept the offer. I know it’s hard to estimate it from a single photo, but would you say that 500 euros in the car and age are appropriate for such damage. Thank you very much for your feedback.

Full Link – Android Auto – USB or Bluetooth
Hello, it is normal that calls are accepted via Bluetooth (smartphone not unlocked, jacket pocket), while for the operation of the Navi app Waze a cable connection is necessary via USB, in this case Bluetooth can not be used? How described everything works absolutely perfectly, but without cable it would be even more beautiful. Is this dependent on brand and manufacturer of the car – or of the smartphone or…? Thank you and kind greetings Details: SEAT Arona TGI with Full Link, Smartphone BQ Aquaris X2, Android 9 PS Had asked before (link below), had got there via the search function without realizing that I was in the wrong forum, so now the demand in the right forum – sorry for the double https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…dauto-via-bluetooth-t6570055.html?…

Blind Spot Assistant behaves suspiciously
Hello people, short introduction: After 1 polo and 3 gulf I became the brand “abtrünnig” and got me 3 weeks ago a new FR with the 1.5 l TSI engine. I like above all the look of the Arona, but also its good room layout. On the topic: Since a few days, quite exactly at 1,500 km it occurred to me for the first time. Before that however, I never drove so fast. Anyway, at 150, 160 km/h on the highway, the blind spot light in the driver’s exterior mirror first for c a. 3 seconds permanently on, after that it flickers extremely nervously for about 2 seconds and is quiet again. All this, although no vehicle drives far and wide, except mine of course. Does one of you know that? In addition, both blind spot lights, so left and right, go at the engine start for about 2 seconds, whereby I think this is a self-test and thus normal (?)

Battery charger with maintenance function – CTEC CT5 Start/Stop
Hello, the Arona TGI will winter in the underground car park, we are not there for six months. That’s why I’m looking for a battery charger with maintenance function and hit the CTEC CT5 Start/Stop. In addition, there’s even the possibility to connect the device to the battery by cigarette lighter. Prerequisite would be that the cigarette lighter in the Arona has permanent current. Does anyone know that? I don’t have anything to try this with at the moment. Then the charger could be in the interior, the cable would be dur ging not, the charger would have to lie outside, which would not be cheap in the large underground garage. Again a question: Is it possible to accommodate a charger with maintenance function in the engine room and still not leave the bonnet open invitingly? Thank you and kind greetings

Kaufberatung SUV – Wolf in scharfspelz gesucht 😉
Hello, my father is probably one of the few people who used an SUV not only for highway and city traffic but also often in the terrain because of work. Currently he drives a Touareg I 3.0 with almost 500,000 km (first 1 turbo change). This one notices however slowly to the car, consumption has increased by now from max 10 liters to an average of 13, because he drives a lot it is economically appropriate to change now. Since very often long distances must be driven d We had tried Porsche and so on before buying them but they were really uncomfortable compared to his Touareg who also has some individual super leather extra. Often other vehicles have to be towed, partly also vans/trucks in the forest etc. So the car is loaded relatively heavily. The requirements for the vehicle are the following: Of which brand is honestly not so important, it also doesn’t have to be a car that just got new to the market. It is even better if a model already had a bit of time to prove itself. Schnickschnack is rather unimportant, but that car must look good because of the customer appointments, but under this dress should hide a true working animal. Pricely we do not want to fix ourselves, can be quite more expensive. Greeting

Brakes smell like a relatively crucible ride
Hello, I just drove about 30-40km, was a country road/city mix, in the middle of the ride I noticed that it smelled a little messed up, but after a short time it was away I thought nothing about it. When I arrived home the smell came back, cuckolded in the engine room but there was no smell to detect. Then I noticed that the front rims were already very warm, because I was involuntarily relatively strong from 100 to 0 brakes (but no full braking) I thought g gf the brakes are very hot and warm the rims with it. Then I checked the rear rims, and at least the right was already very hot, and also the smell came exactly from there. What can that be? Does the wear of the brakes appear like this?

NG is drinking like a hole?!
I’ve had the feeling for a long time that my NG is too thirsty, now I have measured times and see since I come to nice 14,6Lieter on 100km. So I sometimes drive the highway and sometimes in the city that’s pretty much 50:50. I also very rarely give full throttle, so mostly only the first flap. And if possible only in 5th gear so I don’t necessarily drive wasteful… What should I check?! and if, how? PS. My standing gas is always so at 1000RPM no matter if cold or w Poor, maybe it’s related to something!?

B4 ABK engine jerking in thrust mode at low speed and low speed
Hello girls and boys, I have a question about the “motor rucksacks”. The search did not help me any further, there are only topics for motor rucksacking with acceleration and jerking during normal driving operation. My baby: B4 Avant ABK, BJ.94 With me, the jerking expresses itself as follows: I start, drive in the 1st course, then go off the gas and let it roll in the crooked “roll” … then the car jerks as if you constantly tap the gas and let go again minimally. 2.Gang, in the 3rd course, in the 4th course or in the 5th course, let “roll out” in the coupled state. (for example, towards a traffic light) The jerking always starts when it is in thrust mode, so if I let the gas go and roll in, if I give gas, nothing jerks! The jerking is usually at a speed below 2400 rpm – as I said always only during the coupled “roll out”. It also feels directly as if the engine stutters a bit and you notice how it jerks in the gearbox. Tell me jmd what that could be? Injection? Volume divider? Ignition problem? Spark plugs? Wrong air? Relay 30? Throttle flap/-poti? Or can it be a loose engine bearing? I thank the one who can give me a tip!! Thank you! Greetings Joh
