  • SL450 Built 1980 with 160kW from USA??

Hello, I’m interested in an SL450 from 1980. The vehicle is offered with 160kW/218hp. If I’m not mistaken, the 450 ́s were exported to the US with less power (bad quality of the gasoline). Is that true? Furthermore, the third brake light is missing with this car. That was in the USA at that time, right? In advance already thanks.

  • Cult brand before collapse

The fascination of the Saab brand has always been that it produced cars for individualists. However, sales of the Swedish brand have continued to decline, for example in August there were only 209 cars sold in Germany. In the first half of 2004 sales in Germany fell by 10.8% to 3,077 vehicles, the market share was 0.2%. At the same time, the Swedish competitor Volvo increased by 27.8% to 23,983 cars sold. GM subsidiary Saab has been writing red figures for years, Sales in the two-digit percentage range are also falling in the important US market. Now the company’s headquarters in Trollhättan are also threatened by the fact that GM has decided to merge the European mid-range models and possibly move the production of the 9-3 to Rüsselsheim. For car experts Ferdinand Dudenhöffer, the crash of the brand is due to management failures. d. In addition, the proverbial quality of the vehicles belongs to the past. In order to save costs, Saab has to take over finished models from the GM Group for his new cars, which are then slightly changed as Saab on the market. For Dudenhöffer the credibility of the brand suffers. This is an excerpt from the latest edition of the EURO. Greeting Hans-J.

  • Honda Bali

Hi, everybody! I recently bought a scooter. It ran 38000 km. The engine is running very well. However, it makes a bit of noise. It accelerates very well until about 25-30 km/h. Then it becomes very tough and it fights at about 35-40 km/h high and afterwards it accelerates very quickly until about 55-60. What might this be about? Have already checked the spark plug, it seems to be. The carburettor was also cleaned (which was not necessary at all) and is absolutely sa About. The exhaust is also free, so no cokes. Is it just a matter of attitude? And can anyone tell me the basic attitude of the carburetor? I’m a newcomer in the scooter area. Maybe someone would also have the patience to explain to me the operation of the power transmission? What are the weights? Questions about questions about this clarification I would be very grateful. A little brisker he should also like to be… Thank you in advance and many greetings!!

  • Motor Talk Corsa Treff – Russelheim –

Hello friends. I called Opel today for a visit to the factory. Sure, but now I need names, who wants to go with me. If I get a list of more than 10 names (what I think strongly) a reservation time of 2-3 months is necessary, that means we will be able to drive in March / April at the earliest, so enough time to plan everything, but I need names NOW to make a reservation, so, from http://www.mad-haus.de and send greetings Jason

  • Motor-Talk Corsa Treff

As can be read here, there were many answers to a possible Motor-Talk Treff. Together with Team Corsa some of us wanted to participate in a non-binding meeting. I converted my own homepage to a bissel. If you want to take part in the possible largest Corsa Treff in 2004, take a look and report. Until then…. Greeting from Gütersloh Jason www.mad-haus.de

  • Another battery theme

Hello! I also had a problem with my starter battery (MK III, year 11.2001 Diesel, Kombi). However, I have the reason on the hand–> stand-up heating and unfortunately only short distance at the moment. I installed a new Varta (even the one recommended for the Ford) 2 weeks ago. Now I got a battery about 2 months old yesterday (80 Ah, high cold test current, also silver CA technology) from a friend. Now to my question: does this work as I imagine it: I would like to fix this battery in the trunk of the station wagon – at least in the winter months. I think best of all with separation relays, as a pure consumer battery for the stationary heating + blower. Then, if the vehicle stopped, the juice would only be pulled out of the rear bat. Perhaps I would also install a separation switch if at all necessary, with which I completely separate the second battery from the starter battery before I drive, so that the Lima only charges the starter battery. I charge the second battery every few days with a charger that I have been ready to install in the car for a long time. Only it has not proven to operate the preheating exclusively via the starter battery – despite intermittent charging over the charger. The other point is: I have heard that only one gel battery should be installed in the car. together with the gas generated during the charging process (I wouldn’t let the second battery charge as described by the Lima). Or is the reason for this more likely danger in case of an accident (sulphuric acid)? For tips I would be very grateful, L.G. Oliver

  • Charging pressure/Performance/Topspeed

Moin Write in what you have, want to compare what’s so important to me. I’m still a little bit of guessing with me. At least for a new S4 on the quarter mile it was enough so a part with V8. So write in what’s so important to you. Yes, even if there is such a topic, the times and the speed are changing. With me even from winter onwards, then it’s going to be more useful in all cases who’s still 180hp motor??? Ps. no, not the motor that’s built in with me.

  • Do I have a Monday car ???

Monday car or wrong purchase ??? Hi @all so I have already reported in other threads about my little worries about my TTCQ. Now I have on both axes funny “knarr” noise. The car was now already three times in this regard with mine but they say something different each time. First it was the spring turning and was stamped as normal. Then it was called, after re-examined inspection, it were the stabilizers and were replaced. After that the creaking became louder and j The reason for this is that the first three coils of the spring lie directly on each other and this leads to frictions between the coils and this causes the described noises. This statement has led me to call K.A.W. and to confront them with this test. At K.A.W I was told that about 1000 TTCQ are driving with such a suspension and that they have never heard such a thing, the progr The cathedral warehouses are to blame. Well, again at the friendly phone call and made stress and got a WS appointment. But not enough, now I have for three days the feeling that when I give gas, the car accelerates unevenly, as if I were going through the gas. As you can see one test after the other. Only slowly the whole stinks and I miss the pleasure of this car. I have the TT at our branch office at the beginning of May. I bought it in Dortmund to spend a little bit more and then to have rest from such petty things. I would have the right to give back the TT because of these, several small defects??? With new cars something like that works but how about used ones ??? I did not buy this car to stand at mine every two weeks and so try out all the rental cars. I thank you for every help.

  • Large inspection due

Hello together I have been proud owner of a TTCQ for two months. And I have a Prob .I bought the car from our Audi office in Do with warranty. Now I get a call from Audi two days ago regarding the exceeded inspection interval and the request that I should have the inspection carried out for the sake of my warranty, because in case of a warranty damage Audi would not provide any warranty. So I did, a little bit of Radau, how they can sell me a car with a guarantee, but there’s no guarantee on it. But no chance said the sales manager. Now my question: What does a large inspection cost at 60000 km and what does it contain. The master said about 600 € and told only what about air filters and windscreen wipers and so you don’t pay 600 € and v or I can change my windshield wipers myself. Or do I see this wrong !?!?

  • New G63 (W465) – Shock absorber defective?

Hello together, I picked up my new G63 in Affalterbach the week before last – which was of course an absolute highlight!. Unfortunately, after about a week I noticed a poltern on the left, when I drove over unevenness. The noise occurs especially at speeds below 50km/h and then, if you do not drive at the same time each axle over a unevenness. It sounds like a component has played and would “poltern” against it. Interestingly, the poltern at the versc Here are the driving modes (Comfort, Sport and Sport+) less, especially in Sport +, What could be connected with the AMG Ride Control suspension. Now the chassis and the vehicle is of course very new and Mercedes and AMG advise just whether it should not be replaced… Very much to my pleasure. Has any of you had similar experiences or a tip what it could be? Best regards and thank you very much for the round!
