Evening together! As some people have surely already noticed, I have been riding a motorcycle for almost 2 months now and it makes me a lot of fun….with all the precaution I offer. Since I work in the field service….every day I have to deal with a lot of customers…(with many for years…you know each other well…) or I meet almost every day at shopping or elsewhere and you change a few sets I have noticed the following …unbelievable…: Be it at small talk at the customer’s home….or you meet at the shop and I have my assembly… Somehow it comes to the topic that I drive a motorcycle… Many simply have no interest…some drive themselves and you exchange a little… More than I would have thought are not good to speak about… “Frequently” some family members have been tragically injured, a well-known has suffered permanent damage or other horror stories… …and always swings a “W” somehow he can only be so irresponsible and do such a thing to your family and your friends and ride a motorcycle?”. Not that this was now commonplace but it is already more common than I thought. Usually ends in unpleasant silence :/ Do you have similar experiences? How do you deal with it?

Removing sunshades, Pontiac Catalina 1973
I gave the sun visors of my Pontiac Catalinas to the autosattler in 1973, the decorative seam should be sewn. J calls me and says that all the material is torn open while sewing and I should buy new ones. I’m slightly angry! Is there no new car or common vehicle where you simply buy sun visors quickly. What would you do now? Can someone call me a reliable autosattler who refers to them anew?

Renovation supplement?!?
Hello together, strange case with me … maybe even just an abzock attempt of my insurance representative? I am fully cascade insured with my car and the annual premium was so about 900 EUR a year (seasonal license plate). In autumn I then had a basically smaller accident, in which I slipped off the road and got a wild fence with the whole right side. In this case some sheet metal work, new rims and a complete paint, which caused a BMW N The insurance rate rose by the downgrading to about EUR 1250 and was already paid by me in March, as the season registration mark began again with April. Now my insurance representative calls me today, that the headquarters wanted to cancel my insurance, but he could convince you, that the insurance company would be able to cancel the insurance. In addition, the insurance exists again in addition to the premium adjustment by the downgrading to an extra “recovery surcharge” of 20%. Incidentally, this is not a low-cost provider but one of the large well-known insurance companies. Does it seem to me to be very strange. Is this really acceptable or common practice? Can an insurance just add 20% in addition to the downgrading due to the damage case? n? Merci & Best regards, Joe

What if the residual amount of credit is higher than the residual value?
Hello, I have a theoretical question. What if you have concluded a loan agreement for a car and are still about 500€ open in this loan agreement, but the car is only worth 4000€? What happens in case of total damage due to an accident? Would you then stay on the 1000€ difference? Thank you!

denounced as a park damage causer….
….I became today. When I came to my car after work, I found a note at the windscreen wiper that I should report to the company’s pawn tomorrow morning to record an accident damage. At first I thought that someone had bumped into my car. However, the doorman told me that the other accused me of having hit his car frontally (snout to muzzle). When parking it did not happen 100%, I am sure. The only possible explanation is that I was from V The following questions arise for me: – has the allegedly damaged not actually committed a driver’s flight, since he has gone away as an “accident participant”? – how can I react?, the other can now present to me, one day later any possible damage…. definitely call police?? THANK YOU for your experiences and tips! MondeoK

HUK doesn’t pay for the damage…
Hi, a few days ago my partner drove by car into the garage gate of my landlord. Car is ok, only the gate has to be replaced completely. After a cost statement of the company, the car insurance of my girlfriend wants to deduct about 30 percent because the complete garage is over 15 years old. Now my landlord wants to have the remaining amount from me or from my girlfriend, since he does not want to remain at any cost, are after all about 400 Euro – k I understand. Can the insurance simply reduce the costs to be reimbursed for such damage? After all, the gate is only part of the garage and the total value of the garage is much higher than the repair costs for the gate, the garage and the gate (before the accident) have been in a very well maintained condition. Thank you…

Damage to passenger door – car 3.5 months old
Hello, my 3.5-month-old Clio was “initiated” yesterday by the storm. ;-(( passenger opens the door, a booze captures the door and rips it out of her hand. Door pops into the driver’s door of a vehicle standing next to her. Result for my door: see appendix. After a little back and forth and quotes from these and those general insurance services, my KfZ liability is now of the opinion that she probably does not have to pay (I had to clear this to my insurance company). The private liability of my passenger will probably come in (and soon also report to me, so that I also do not have to use my comprehensive . What do I have to expect ? Reviewer ? Will an exchange of the door be paid with such a new car? Have no experience at all about this .. :/ In the door of the other car is probably even a hole in it … There live the storm gusts …! Greeting Storki

Ford Grand C-Max – 120PS Diesel Powershift vs. 150PS petrol converter car.
Hello together, we are about to purchase a new car and we have decided for the Ford Grand C-Max. Mainly because of the sliding doors in this price segment, there is nothing comparable / better. We have already received some offers from local Ford dealers and the configuration is already fixed, only with the engine choice I have my doubts and would need some help. To the selection are 1.5TDCI 120PS Powershift automatic and a 1.6 Ecoboost 150PS Automatic converter. Driving profile: -max. 15,000km/year -60% Motorway 20% Road 20% City -Road to work 15km per way – every 2-3 weeks times Routes from 50-100km -2-3x per year Family visit, per way 750km therefore 4500km Total -possibly holiday trips (routes unknown) According to the manufacturer, the automatic petrol consumption is 6,8l combined, according to the fuel monitor 8,7l The automatic diesel consumes 4,8l combined, according to the manufacturer, according to the fuel monitor 6,2l for the manual switch If you use 2liter Mehrv If you run out of petrol, the driving profile is about 300l or 420€/year more compared to the diesel, at a fuel price of 1.40€. Since we want to drive the car for 10 years, it is not easy for me to decide. What do you mean? Diesel or petrol? Next week I have an appointment for the test drive of both engines, but I think I will be happy with both.

Defects concealed ?!
Hello, I did not find a suitable forum, hope this is also ok here. For the current occasion: From when is a defect actually a defect? And from when can one speak of an accident? A colleague has driven so violently over a curb that the wheel suspension (and various parts) were changed. He did not communicate this to the private buyer of his used car. However, the buyer has become aware of this. Now the question arises: was this a defect that the buyer would have Bzw. was that a lack at all, because it was eliminated. Could one speak here of an “accident”? So should the car not have been sold as accident-free? Thank you already

Small cars/ few electronics on the dashboard
Hello, I’m looking for a cheap car and now I prefer the cheap small car over a used car. A car has little purpose for me, I drive small routes for shopping, spare parts should be easily and cheaply available, need space only for a passenger, no large storage space required. However, there is probably an unusual wish for you: the dashboard should have as little electronics as possible. I also don’t have an iphone, I This bright light and even PCs in the eyes feel very unpleasant (I already know that you can regulate the brightness, I always try, nevertheless). So my wish would be a simple display optics, if possible in black and white, no yellow-green-blue glowing lights (and if possible not that automatically surrs or beeps). Something like these senior phones, which are matt, without color lights, can only phone and send sms. So the Au I just want to be able to drive around without a toy frill. There’s a Toyota Aygo in my alley, which looks quite simple when I look at the amarture board. Can’t imagine that the aura of flashing and glowing. Does someone like that be with other cars, e.g. Renault, Ford, Seat? What would you recommend? Thanks already 🙂
