Hello together! I have a question. When I was at my Volvo workshop last week, the workshop master spoke to me about the wheel widths mounted on the rear axle. Of course, I noticed these already in autumn when changing the wheels, but I thought that they are standard at the C30. This also fits visually very well, because the C30 has a slightly wider butt. In addition, 16″-alus look quite good. Since the previous owner was a pensioner, I don’t think that the widenings have been mounted. I don’t have an ABE and there is nothing in appearance. What does it look like with you. Is there anyone who drives a lane spread on the rear axle. ? Mine is a 2.4i momentum. Greetings! Thomas

Instead of retrofitting an on-board ccmputer ….Turbo Gauge IV for OBDII including 4in1 scan car computer?
Hello Volvo specialists, my V40 Bj98 has unfortunately no BC and no temperature indicator. After reading many articles concerning the on-board computer I prefer to leave it with the retrofitting because I do not know if the connections are available and whether the control unit has to be unlocked. It is also mainly about the consumption indicator and of course further data would be practical and interesting. Now I am on this offer: Turbo Gauge IV for OBDII incl. 4in1 Scan Auto Computerhttp://cgi.ebay.de/ws/…rack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:de Maybe someone has experience with it or is the thing nix? Thank you and best regards Norbert

Hupe doesn’t work -> new steering wheel is due!?
Hello municipality, with our XC90 from 10.2007 hr for 1-2 years the right area of activity (on the airbag) very difficult. The pressure point is reached, but it does not honk. Stronger pressing (with one finger almost not possible) brings the success. (I don’t want to hear the saying now: “Then hup with the left). In danger situations it happened with already 3-4 times, that I pressed with right on the horn but the car didn’t give a tone of itself. On the left it always works, but the “Hupgund” has usually already done itself. Are there similar experiences here? So far for more than 200,- € unsuccessful works were carried out. I rejected the steering wheel – exchange for 700,- € thanking. Will the 200,- well have to pay, but here I hope to find THE SOLUTION 😉 Greeting Manuel

Change diesel particulate filters after 120,000 km?!?
Moin, if it goes to Volvo, then with my V50 2.0 d in 12,000 Km the change of the diesel particle filter is on – with the associated costs (but this should not be the topic…) I drive with my Volvo 35,000 Km per year – a lot of country road and also sometimes highway. Volvo stumply prescribes the change after 120,000 Km, without asking about the driving profile or the age of the car….. With a car with a mileage of 120,000 Km, a change is certainly less commercial than technical thing, but what is at 240,000 or even 360,000 Km, if the cost of the change reaches or even exceeds the time value? Does one then have an economic total damage? Or does the thing fly out and the Volvo leaves us to Africa??? So, is there any experience values concerning the overlay of the change interval? Does it run better – someone could experience a difference between old and new filter? (My given 210Km/h does not reach – would it run “free” after the change?) For corresponding experiences I am grateful….

Tyres/wheels for the V50
Hello, I’m new here, but I’ve been reading silently for quite a while. Last year I bought my first used elk (V50, 1.6 D) and I’m actually quite satisfied. Only with the current tire, which of course is not due to the speed. Had the series tire on it on steel rim and would now like to change to something chiceres. Imagine me in any case 17 inches, like with 205 or 215 tires. Would like to use the wide selection of non-original rims (come on cheaply) and have no idea what is possible there. Read everywhere that you have to build bricks or car parts. Actually, I am the classic series vehicle driver and have never bothered with anything like that. What can you recommend there? Have looked around me at Dezent and Brock and I like this one or other (Dezent: V, N, Brock: B 21, B 24), but that never fits 100% to the EEC regulations.

Gas + brake at the same time
Hello, I noticed a problem with my T5 the other day, which seems strange to me… If I step gas and brake at the same time (i.e. left brake), it just takes away the gas completely instead of accelerating it further… Actually I can live with it quite well, but otherwise it always worked out and therefore it has to be something different or broken. Could it possibly be related to the throttle valve, since it also wants to be cleaned sometimes (-> ominous ETS lamp). It must be a software error or a broken sensor, because the 99er has an el. gas pedal. Thanks already for the help.

? Experience with Bluetooth hands-free in V70 ?
Hello guys, because I don’t like the “big” free-receiver from Volvo (keyboard in dashboard; 2nd SIM car; handset in the center console) etc. also wg. of the sound not so great, my dealer recommended the BLUETOOTH solution (cost approx.450 €). Does anyone have the thing in the V70 ? Experience with sound and operation ? Where is the Micro ? Radio mute circuit ? … … Are there descriptions about functions, operation and supported devices ( Have a Siemens S75-mobile) Thanks for hints !!!

New emblem / noise
Hello, I have read somewhere that it is not supposed to be a big discovery to attach the new Volvo emblem to a Volvo V50 BJ 2009. Since I can no longer find this page, I have 2 questions about it. First of all it is really not a big effort after time and costs? Somehow I can not find a spare part page where I could find the price for a grill, with new emblem. Thanks in advance. Oh, one question is still. When starting the engine, I always have a „cratch/looping in the engine room” in the cold condition. This is depending on the speed becomes strong, but does not have to go off. As soon as the engine temperature indicator has reached the first beam it is gone. Does this have anything to do with the starter?

Question about the Lupo 1.4 FSi coupling
Hello together, as it looks like I need a new clutch set for our Lupo 1.4 FSI. The problem is, there is probably no more than a new part at VW. Now my question, does the clutch set from the 3L Lupo fit? Here is the data VW Lupo 1.4 FSI, built in 2001. Engine code ARR. Transmission code FFT. The Lupo already has an engine from 2002, of course also ARR. The engine ran, or runs. The gearbox basic setting broke down however. Since then the Lupo no longer starts. After that we have replaced the hydraulic unit and the clutch sensor cylinder. Problem still exists. Therefore now coupling replacement. Thanks for your help. Greeting Sebastian FSI

Windscreen wiper broken on one side
Hello, unfortunately I have no idea and wanted to ask before the passage into the workshop if someone with the problem has experiences. So my windscreen wiper at the front only goes on one side. So driver side still works, passenger side is defect. The problem is that the rail that drives the right wiper has solved itself from the holder of the wiper. I can’t see if there is something broken. I can now, if I open the bonnet, push this track again from below to the windscreen wiper, but nothing rests there and the track replaces itself after 5 minutes drive again. Does one maybe have a tip on how I can fix this, or does a part have to be replaced, since broken? I know it is difficult to say by remote diagnosis, but I would hate that there is completely changed for xxx Euro, if it would also be easy.
