  • Proace ,Traveller ,Spacetourer Euro 6 d

Hello to all Proace Travellers and Spacetourers interested! Since the current diesel problem has made me quite unsettled and after a lot of reading I am not smarter I just wanted to write you what Toyota wrote to me on my question (from when can you order the 177 ps diesel with Euro 6 d)! thank you for your email and for your interest in a ProAce. Please excuse that it took a little while until our answer. From 01.09.2017 all e newly homologated model types (new EC type test/new EC type test number) have the Euro standard 6c. The test cycle procedure WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicles Test Procedure), which has been adopted by law on 26.07.2017, will be tested and replaced by the NEDC cycle. As of 01.09.2018, the Euro standard 6c will then also be binding for all existing types as part of the first registration. from the – probably – 01.01.2021 this standard also applies to all existing types within the scope of the first registration. We can not yet give you an exact date, from when the Pro Ace will meet the Euro6c. Sincerely, your Toyota Deutschland GmbH

  • 75PS Twingo (2004) roars (and something else)

Hello, I recently had a 75hp Twingo 2004 with about 60tkm. Is that normal, that the engine sounds so kernely, that it starts to roar so loud from about speed 90 so that it gets uncomfortable? Highway driving is stress, I get headache. Or does this indicate a defect? Then I got a new clutch. Is that normal, that when starting up the engine, the engine dies off every second time, if I don’t give up quite a bit of gas? (at my clutch handling li egts really not, am not a beginner) And last not least, sporadically, the airbag lamp lights up. Is that a disease or can you say something? I have a contract workshop appointment next week and it would be nice if I could make them a little steam (especially the clutch). The Twingo is, however, a cheap car, but the last car with such a … Coupling I drove 20 years ago (was a Fiat Uno)… Thank you! • Alfa 148/ 149 and 159 GTA

I would like to ask if someone knows something more precise, when the 148 or 149 comes… Besides there should be a 159 GTA with V6 Biturbo or even V8… I have heard/read the rumor with the Biturbo several times, and that it should be created in collaboration with Volvo. The V8 should come from the Maserati, and should be the same, which was installed in the 8c competizione! Does anyone have more detailed information?

  • I’m disillusioned…

yesterday I was happy on the AMI2005 in leipzig and immediately ran into hall5. to alfa romeo. and with a joyful glance I stand in front of the 159th a dream. from the front and from the back. wahnsinn. I wanted to ask where I have to sign. but then I look at everything more closely. since I start at the rear doors. not only that the ingenious grip of 156 is gone – no, they have to the place also a mega-hazardous, not fitting, standing off In addition to the fact that the models showed about all processing defects. the split dimensions were terrible. my joyous laugh then went away in the interior. ugly. and I say it again. ugly. especially the middle console. fat, thick, wide. no elegance. especially the 3 air intakes. huge. the round instruments go down completely. everything seems clumsy, like roughly carved. where is the style and then the lever for blinker, light, temp omat on the steering wheel. I thought I was sitting in an opel. terrible. I was really disappointed. I first went to the good old 156 and sat down there. then I felt better again. and I wanted to buy myself a 159. but outside HUI inside PFUI. no, I don’t want that. so. that had to be out!

  • Windscreen washing system: antifreeze

Yes, I know it’s a little early on the subject. But I had a discussion with a colleague about means that can be used as antifreeze for the windscreen washing system. Is it true that you can simply add pure alcohol to the disinfected water without damaging the paint, plastic parts or other parts of the car? Which mixing ratio is advisable/possible? I have only experience with commercial antifreezes so far. h is there also alcohol, but in “decent” concentration. If anything, what advantages do these antifreeze products have from the trade compared to the use of pure alcohol? Are they in the end only expensive frills, which is not necessary at all, so one spends unnecessarily too much money?

  • Mazda 3 rust problem

Hey, I’ve got a Mazda 3 to buy. It’s supposed to be built in 2009 or younger. Now I’ve noticed the enormous rust problem… which makes me very unsure in my choice, because of course I intend to keep the car longer. In some forums I’ve read that the car can look pretty bad already after 1.5 years. Since I have no idea of cars myself, I’d like to know if I should choose another car brand better?! Or is there a anything that can be done “preventing” against this rust infestation?

  • Soot particulate filters advantage???

I am interested in a Vectra car. 1.9 cdti 120 hp. This one is equipped with soot particle filters as standard in Germany. The EU model has no standard RPF for the 120 hp. What sense does an RPF make at the moment? The tax between D3 and D4 is equal. In terms of consumption, the one without RPF would have to be more economical? The prices for used 1.9 Ctdi without RPF are comparable to the 1.8 gasoline engine, which costs about 2500 euros more with RPF. And a retrofit later (if d he RPF would have to be feasible for 700 euros without any problems?
