  • Never again Chevrolet/Captiva

I have only problems with my vehicle. At 160 Tkm the 3 clutch. Lt. Chevrolet I am too stupid for driving. And that at 59 years. All other vehicles, especially VW have only received a new clutch after about 200 Tkm! Apart from the clutch many electrical and/or electric problems! That’s why I will never get a Chevrolet/Captiva again.

  • Workshop prices completely overworked?

Moin, at the Malibu V300 2.0D from my wife, both drive cuffs on the right side are easily torn down and have to be renewed. She had a KVA given to a free workshop – so I dropped the chinlade: According to the workshop, the cuffs are not to be obtained individually – so a new drive shaft for beaten 500€ plus assembly. Timing belt change (according to Opel at 60,000 of the every 5 years due) would also be at approx. 500€ and service with oil and filter change 300. all Have you already had some experience? How do you look at it? Have you seen: The timing belt set (ContiBelt) should cost 250€ at the workshop – in the net I get the one for well under 120 incl. water pump. Oil filter would be at 50€ – in the net for 20th air filter should cost 30€ – in the net for approx. 10. And all brand parts like man or grinding filter. Was for years not in a workshop and am really shocked about this violent customer 60-100% surcharge. I prefer to buy the parts and do it myself. Is it the same in your workshops? LG – MT

  • Getting new cars?

Have now for 10 days a new 156 sw 2.4 JTD 20v. Really very nice ! Wanted to know your opinion or experience, how to drive a new car. I wanted to now so up to approx. 1000 km the engine some time to play in. Despite the manufacturing tolerances, I think that the pistons and cylinders have to fit in first. Drive therefore therefore at most 160 and max. 4000 revolutions. Furthermore I drive alternately city, country, highway. I switch as much as possible in the speed range of 1000-4000. From 1000 km I wanted to slowly increase to top speed. What do you mean?

  • Help: I don’t know if I should buy a diesel or a petrol truck?

Hi Forum, my wife and I have decided to get a 156 sports car. It should become a used car, but not too old, best after the last facelift. But I fluctuate daily between the decision whether to become a diesel or a gasoline car. We drive about 20-25Tkm a year. So maybe the diesel could already count on it. However, it is of course a few Euros more expensive in the purchase. Besides, I don’t know what the legal situation in terms of particle filtration is. I’m an absulute newcomer to Alfa. I’ve had a touring of 3 cars so far, but the design just did it to my wife and me. That’s why I’m asking you for your advice. Which engine would you recommend? Diesel or petrol? And which one in particular? We’d like to drive the car for a few years. So it would be good if it’s reliable and durable. A steam hammer doesn’t necessarily have to do it. be. Rather a compromise of economy and longevity. Thank you!

  • Survey: How satisfied were you with your Mitsubishi in 2011?

The year is slowly coming to an end, it’s time to raise the winter tires again. We hope you’ve come through the year with your mobile kit so far! And to find out if that’s the case, we want to start a small survey again in 2011. As every year, the manufacturers have done a lot to interest us drivers in their products and services and to satisfy their customers. But: How satisfied were you with your car completely subjectively ? Or with the service that every car needs every now and then? So: How was it, your personal car year 2011? Since most manufacturers not only regularly read MOTOR-TALK, but are also in contact with us, we are going with the survey result as well as your praise and your criticism in the comments aimed at the manufacturers. Therefore, in the comments, write what you liked about Mitsubishi in general and your Mitsubishi in particular in 2011, which is even better and Which wasn’t so dazzling!

  • Wash water pump defective ?

Hello dear forum community, I’ve been breathing my parents’ car for a long time, because my car has a defective ignition coil and I’m waiting for the new SET. My father drives the car about 3,000 km a year. That’s why the car is very rarely moved and although mostly only on short distance. So when I was driving I noticed that no splash water came out of the nozzles. Now on the weekend I looked what that might be. Well… the pipes were partly attached to the pipe. I’m not sure if my father even has frost protection in his splash water system. I tried to break the pipes which is not possible everywhere. Well, I mean, at least I have to get out minimally, because the engine was right. Nevertheless, nothing comes out. My suspicion now lies on the washing water pump, which it may have torn or is defective. Strange is only that the washing water has become less. If I have looked properly the front has to Is that right? I don’t know about the car so well…

  • original battery defective after 20 months – problem with warranty

We have a problem with our Space Star. After the vehicle could not be started twice after about 2 days of service life. After charging the battery I made the way to PitStop…there one checked the battery and came to the result defective. The start power was still 73% the cold current power approx. 500A (angular power 680A) on the device itself was issued defective/exchanged. Since Mitsubishi on your original parts gives 2 years warranty I am at m a dealer. At just under 180€ new price I don’t see that the battery is already falling. But now there are problems… The car we bought in January 2011… the previous owner installed the battery in May 2010. He only has a part bill about the battery where however not noted for which vehicle this is intended. My dealer now said that it will be difficult to assert a warranty case here. 1. Because I am not the buyer of the battery. 2. Because based on the r Invoice is not understandable that it is really this battery. What do you think I have a chance to get a new battery? • Finance and car purchase, advice requested

I don’t know if I am right here, but I would be very happy about some help. Go to a financial question or your experiences and what you would advise me. I am now starting from the 1.8th my training as a retail clerk, this probably goes, if not shortened, until 2022. To finish my training I am then 22J old and have already saved money for a deposit, how much is left. I would like to take a loan from pipapo 10,000€ for a I am currently paying a rent of 380,- warm and have no other expenses. Eating with parents, electricity and water is taken over, insurances are taken over for domestic purposes. So first of all at fixed costs everything is included and then roughly 800€ over for credit and financing of the car. Realistically or rather not? I have absolutely no idea what a car costs so much money. o I refrain from, so car credit + taxes, insurance, fuel and what to put aside for repairs etc pp. What business would be desirable, but is it possible? Would you advise me not and if so, what would you advise me instead?

  • Purchase advice Subaru Outback 2.5

Hello dear Foris, I am looking for a new used one and need your help for this. Briefly to the dates: I drive about 20000km a year from time to time with horse hangers (to 99% only with a horse) every day over wet, muddy couplings have dog & saddle what should be stored in the trunk the vehicle would like to drive the next 5-6 years Budget: approx.800€ – 900€ my choice a lot on the Subaru Outback Kombi 2.5 Gasoline with manual transmission Hope already you don’t guess me g anz from Now the question is whether I should take an older one with a little km or a newer one with more km? I looked once, you get for the price which so around the 100,000km from BJ 2005. Or then hold which one from year 2007/2008 with approx. 180,000km. Supposedly the cars should easily rewind 300,000km. But is that also true? Which would you recommend? Or rather an automatic because of the trailer? What weaknesses do I have to pay attention to? What about the clutch? Does it only cause problems with the diesel engine? I’m spoiled at the moment, my Opel has still driven the first clutch with 16 years & 220,000km despite regular suspensions. And besides wear parts has never broken anything bigger. Is the outback also so reliable? I look forward to your answers. Thank you in advance.

  • Pro/Kontra Rover?

Hello forum, so actually I am the reason type when it comes to cars. And in the end this also (almost) always gets against the “want” to have. But as an auto-enthusiastic person, I also sometimes get rid of the fantasies of cars, where I have been thinking for a long time about whether I should just buy one of these. Currently this is the Rover 75, a vehicle that I didn’t have at all on the screen and which I became aware of because it was recently hi it was mentioned in the purchase advice. I have rummaged a little in the car exchanges, and find that they are, although the offer is very small, for what they offer quite cheap. For 3000 to 600€ are advertised vehicles, which are probably at the level of an E class, but IMHO look far better. The rover is also one of the few cars, where I find that the limousine looks better than the station wagon. In addition, the rover can afford a lot, which is only old for other cars. looks, e.g. the white interior, the dashboard in root wood and the oval instruments, … to the vehicle that fits easily. What about, so far I only know it from pictures from sales advertisements. Does any of you know these vehicles, or why did they get so little used to in the German-speaking area? Is the quality bad, or only the reputation? Repairs unaffordable or impossible? Why are there so few with automatic, even though the IMHO DAS car would be for… Or e I admit that the probability that I will actually buy one is rather low, I know myself well, but in the end reason will get through again, but maybe the one or the other who is also interested, and a lively discussion develops. And who knows, I manage to break it out of the decisions of reason LG, Elwood
