  • Now also Volvo owners

Hello together, today I looked at and bought the volvo, as described before. a very nice car which can be driven really great. you sit like with Oma on the couch in it. and the motor sound reminds already very much of the old audi 100 with 5 pots. now also comes my first problem, the salesman could not tell me how long the last tooth belt change is. to go on the safe way I want to make it new. but find no whole usable tooth belt set with water pump and all tension rollers with it. can you recommend me something, where I get the parts also fast. so it is all too uncertain to me… thanks already. gruß mika. p.s. pictures also follow…….prochen…

  • C30 Part and inspection costs

Hello, read is already a long time the complaints about high costs for parts and inspection. I drive a C30 Mj 2008 first registration 2007. I had already broken off the rear windscreen wiper for carelessness. Cost 18.75€ at the friendly. Had already scratched two wheel runs, front left 26.50€ and rear right 41€. Monage a.Part 15€, can also do “man” even if you don’t have two left hands. So I could continue with new make-up mirrors etc. Inspection costs 1st year 247€ Inspection costs 2.Year 240€ With all filters and engine oil.I could have squeezed this amount if I had only taken a “small inspection” due to the few kilometers. But if I then read inquiries for cheap rear windscreen wiper or similar and if you have to do the inspection still with the friendly one at 60,000 km I don’t understand the VOLVO-WELT anymore. Volvo is not a volume car. For the small piece numbers I find the prices very moderate.

  • Audio, Navi, comfort functions spin. Buffer battery? Reset?

Moin! I just picked up my Volvo from a free workshop, where it stood for five and a half months. They were completely overwhelmed with the problem (motor, other topic). In the meantime, I had to give the starting aid once, I set the clock there on two visits. As far as clear, long service life and menrfach battery jammed off. Now the electronics shows the following symptoms: driving operation, light, turn signal etc. go flawlessly. Bluetooth connection with the iPhone works, however, the car radio breaks off the conversation abruptly, and after the conversation at the Handy is safely finished, the car radio switches again to conversation and shows the continuous conversation time, while the phone certainly does not carry out a conversation. The Navi does not work anymore at the push of a button at the steering wheel memory. After closing or opening the roof drive all windows back to the top position. Except the driver window, there remains the hand-breit gap. He has measured at the power supply of the AHK when searching for error, but otherwise the bus system (though) doesn’t. If a PC would make a cold start, then the operating system can make a new start?

  • Question of principle: T2000 or T3000 (or comparable), is the surcharge worth it?

I’d like to talk about a basic, technical discussion on polishing machines without forced delivery. The all-round and rightly popular Kestrel DAS-6 and its derivatives are offered by various providers in different versions, e.g. as Kestrel DAS-6 and DAS-6 Pro or as Liquid Elements Tornado T2000 and T3000. The main difference between the machines is the power consumption and the price – the “small” machines pull about 500 watts, the “large” around 800 watts. Machines without forced delivery have a slip clutch in their drive, which ensures that the polisher stays at high load, while the machine continues to run. The actual drive is done to my knowledge on an excenter weight behind the clutch, which, so to speak, rips the polisher away. If this excenter weight is the same with the “small” and the “large” machine, then I think the 300 watts of the “large” machine in the Nirvana is coming to the point. The “big” machine only brings a benefit to this forum?

  • Rims cleaned – Black deposits do not dissolve

Hello together, have recently a new (used) car. The previous owner gave me the summer tires in dirty condition. I sprayed my aluminium rims today first with the high-pressure cleaner and then cleaned with brush and sponge. Something has deposited between the spokes (brake dust or fresh asphalt, see photo). How can this be removed best? Thank you for your answers

  • Passing the traffic jam

Hello together, is it normal for passers-by at the traffic jam (not on the stand strip) to be occupied with 100 Euro penalty duty? I drive for the first time in over 15 years again in Germany and am surprised. In Spain I never had any problems with it. And earlier, when I was travelling in Germany on two wheels, I was never stopped because of such ridiculous things. I have been riding motorbikes for 30 years now and am appalled. I am also riding moped so that I have to stop in traffic jams, not like the others. Since I am driving again in Germany (currently with a Spanish number plate), I did not know any alternative routes to dodge. Had actually been happy on motorcycle riding in Germany, but if the cops are always so surprised that there is still a motorcycle driving here. I have nothing against paying my penalties if I have built dung. But for driving on traffic jams? Is it ridiculous. For me it has become pure abzocke. Has this become the normal case in Germany, or have I just guessed to the wrong ones? Greeting, Lukasmobil

Hello intend a new construction with a soft tail frame and an Evo engine. Since the Evo engine does not meet today’s exhaust emission standards an old frame must be installed. Up to which year of construction of the frame can an Evo be registered or installed without problems (emission assessment)? So which standard does it correspond to: ECE-R40 Euro-1 Euro-2 Euro-3 Hope my research up to here were really nice greeting and many thanks in advance Jimbob

  • Swift (MZ/EC) 5th gear vibrating

Hello together, I have the problem vibrating in the 5th gear while speeding the turntable. The other gears behave calmly. The car has driven around 70,000 km down and a lot of highway (average 130 km/h). Gear oil has been changed recently. I removed the covers on the shift lever and found that the vibrating comes from the switch rope or this pole, which goes away to the rear right (I don’t know the name). If I pull the switch or put the hand on it the noise disappears. Can someone tell me if I can drive with it and it is just a bit annoying or something bigger is going wrong? Even better it would be if someone would tell me that I just have to tighten the and the screw again. ^^ Here’s a short video with sound: http://youtu.be/rhBNGBGsEk8 Thank you for your opinions Tom
