  • Busted workshop mess at the BMW 1500-2002 – Oldtimer E10 Built 1970

Hello, on my BMW 1602/E10, year 1970 the bearing game of the right front wheel was checked recently. After removing the fat cap a white crown nut was found on the thread of the spring leg. My question: Where do you learn such a thing? What can be the cause? The condition could have been so present for 20 and more years. So long I drive the car. Do “Mecatronics” today no longer have a conscience? At BMW there was no spring bone replacement anymore, only a revised old part was still available. W Arum is not allowed to enter the workshop at Oldi-Reparaturen to the customer… VS-Recht ? Or is such “acidness” concealed and covered up?

  • Rost

Hello At my car I discovered the first rusts and wonder where I can get the rust removed best. So far I have discovered rust in the entrance and at the stern. Since I already thought of having games do a cavity seal, the question arises whether I should let it be removed in the workshop or drive to a paint shop. Then the question arises what such a thing will cost, so far the rusts are rather small. Although I am there In the rear the rust can be after-effects of an accident last winter where in the workshop the plastic heck cladding was renewed. My car is now almost 9 years old and with rust is now probably too arithmetic.

  • Instead of rust converter better rust blocker / rust protection paint from DIY for axles and chassis ?

Hello, my old car has flat flight grate and a few small bumps on the chassis and axle carriers, especially where the car once sat up. The body is however top. Now there are some places, because of the geometry you can not completely rust, but only with a beige the coarsest rust away. Now I know that rust converters after several hours/days influence time (it forms a black layer), must be overpainted necessarily. Is there any experience with rustproof paint from the hardware store, which can be applied with a small paint brush? I thought of metal base, hammerite, rust blocker, rustproof paint for rusty garden fences or garage doors, which can be painted directly on rust, does that hold well? MfG Chris

  • The former BMW car dealership Heitmann in Werne an der Lippe. Who else knows it?

Last week I was in Werne on the Lippe near Hamm in the local Mercedes-Autohaus to get me some nice, new brochures for my brochure collection and drove the Landwehrstraße along from Selm coming and saw the former BMW-Autohaus Christoph Heitmann, Landwehrstraße 109, today a conditioner. It had stood empty for longer, in 2003 it was taken over by BMW Schmidt from Lünen, which built a new, modern and above all larger car house at the Fürstenhof in 2006. someone to the old Heitmann car dealership? Why was it taken over by Schmidt? Maybe someone bought a BMW there? Tell your stories!

  • Park Distance KOntrolle and display

Hello, 1. The PDC sprint only automatically on when inserting the reverse gear or you press the button. Is there a possibility that the PDC is always active (below 15km/h) in the front AND in the back??? That the front does not work annoyingly!!! 2. With target guide (Navi active) I can not operate my consumption/residency kilometers i.e. the whole board computer in the amature board. That also bothers me. That has already annoyed me with my Skoda. Is there also the possibility of a change here? Thanks for Info s!!!

  • Xenon Plus, light hoop?

Want to buy me a new A6 need your experience: Have currently A6 with xenon dipped light – driving beam separately (H7). Now you can only order Xenon Plus (with daytime driving light inside). How should you recognize a ‘light hoop’ during the day when the dipped light is switched on? With switched off light – does this not work for the life of the xenon light? mfg gbIII

  • Leasing residual value too high?

Hello municipality, I have the following problem: When configuring my new A6 my “house supplier” has significantly worse conditions for leasing (even worse than in the AUDI configurator). This is due to his statement that “the others” set the residual value too high (49%) and he cannot guarantee the residual value after 54 months. I would then have to pay the difference to the market value at the end of the leasing period. I think that the figures that can be found in the calculation If I want to return a car full of bumps or with a frontal damage, something is being deducted from me, but with normal use the leasing conditions would have to be real, or how do you see that? Did any of you ever have to pay a difference after the end of the lease? (Have always taken over my Audis) Greeting a6Dumpfbacke

  • Small, fast used car for student

Hello, I would like to buy a car so that I can go shopping in my university town, visit friends and visit my parents from time to time (~150km). Rather less often a stick with several hundred kilometers. I have a budget of max. 450€, maximum 500€. I have thought to buy a Suzuki Swift sport, because I like the normal Suzuki Swift already, but a few more PS would be quite nice. I like the size of the Suzuki as I easily in I don’t need much space in the trunk either. I don’t have a problem with the fact that the Swift Sport is only 3 doors. It just worries me that the consumption is so high (9l outside of town, 6.2l inside), which is why I’m superior to getting the normal one. But I’ve already been told that if I drive faster, the sport consumes less than the normal one, because it’s designed for it. Does anyone have any experience of whether the consumption is really so much is higher than normal? Do you have a suggestion for a car that is also a little flicker like the Suzuki Swift sport, but doesn’t consume that much? Thank you

  • trailer and 30kg bike

Hello people I hope this is the right subforum. I found at least no more suitable, and it is not specific to car brands. I would like to take my bike on a trip. are a few hundred km on the highway. traeger is a thule euroway 920. the trail carries 46kg in total and per bike max 24kg. the problem: my new bike is (without battery) 30kg heavy. what I don’t understand is where the 24kg maximum load for the bike come from. the biker and the ahk can do this easily, if why is the max weight of ONE wheel at 24kg? I googled, and also looked for thule.com. but found nothing. google always delivers on the first 3 pages only left to onlineshops … and then an adac test where the thule won. thank you for your ideas. what could happen? what could I do against it? servus ps: before the question comes, why didn’t I buy another trailer: traeger was there before. rad after. and no: the r ad also doesn’t fit in the trunk.
