  • Did the ~€1300 quads do what?

Hi, because I’m missing the money for a car right now and I’m getting really sick of going to work every day by bus & train, I first thought about buying a 50’s scooter. But the parts are too slow and I can’t drive anything bigger. Besides, I don’t want to hinder my motorized fellows in the road traffic. I know it myself when I’m on the road with the company car and I have such a lame crutch in front of me. hlimm like cyclist. Well, then I had the great idea to buy a quad. Sometimes quickly looked at eBay and see there, there are a lot of offers for just under 1300 Euros. Only the naughty feeling comes over me that the parts of children’s workers in China are soldered together. I want to drive with the quad only to work. Speak only city traffic where I can drive anyway up to 50km/h. A Bundestraße or even highway the part will never get to see. So would me 60km/h highest And as long as I get away from the traffic lights fairly quickly. Don’t want to be like the annoying moped or 50 scooter driver. My work path is 5km by the way. I need almost 40 minutes with bus and train, incl. 2 times change and waiting time. I really don’t have any more balls on it… So, would you recommend me such a cheap quad, in order to really only drive to work? If not, what would be the alternative ones? Money loose I just don’t have much l. So €1500 would be my limit of pain, but then I wouldn’t be left without the cheap quads, would I? Thank you for your expert advice.

  • Behavioural tips for motorcyclists

Copied from somewhere else: Tips for danger situations between car and bike Drivers must get used to the increasing presence of motorized two-wheelers again in the spring. The experts from TÜV SÜD give tips on how to avoid danger situations between car and bike as much as possible. Faster than expected: At a long distance or in the oncoming traffic it is often impossible for drivers to see whether a small motorcycle or a heavy machine is closer to the vehicle. This is why the speed of bikers is often underestimated. Therefore, it’s better not to overtake when a motorcycle comes on the other side. Even when turning left, let an opposing two-wheeler pass better than forcing it to complete braking. More confusing than thought: Because motorcycles need little space, they often stand at the red traffic light in a row with a car. If it starts with green, the two-wheelers in terms of acceleration are in any case superimposed The drivers should not be challenged to a race, according to the traffic experts of TÜV SÜD. Keyword traffic lights: When bikers push past a car column sideways, they can easily disappear in dangerous blind spots. Therefore, drivers must in any case throw a control view over the shoulder before turning off. Longer than thought: Wendig and a short braking distance. This (pre-)judgment falls many car handlers over motorcycles. However, because the two-wheeler has to dose the front and rear brakes well in order not to fall, the braking distance is longer for bikers with little practice in any case. In bad weather or bad ground this is also true for Routiniers. Closer than intended: In order to be able to drive their ideal line, motorcyclists are often in curves near the middle strip. Drivers should therefore not cut curves in any case. More than roofed. t: Finally, the advice of the experts from TÜV SÜD: Bikers are often on the road in groups. Drivers should think about this above all about estuaries, crossings and overtaking!

  • Microcars & Quads

It’s been a while since the regulation was introduced that you can drive these microcars and also quads (up to a certain cylinder capacity) from 16 onwards. I’d like to know if you’ve met something like this already in the road traffic and what experience you’ve had. Somehow I have the feeling that the big “boom” has fortunately failed, I haven’t met a single microcar (the smart except – *fun*) yet! Since then I have been very often, only recently one almost took the lead and would have popped into my side. However, quads were already common with us earlier. I also have to add that I live in a very rural area, maybe microcars are more common in cities, but possibly less quads. How do you see that, the marketing of the microcars failed or does the whole evil come first?

  • Large-scale radio theft in Krummesse (HL) and surroundings

Hello, last week on the night of 20.04.05 (Wednesday) my car was broken up on 21.04.05 (Thursday) and the radio was stolen. The thing is that it not only caught my car, what stood in Krummmesse, but also countless other cars. in Krummmesse and the surrounding villages. If anyone is affected by it and has any clues, I ask those to report to me. Problem is that the perpetrators in almost all cars. The perpetrators were probably using certain tools because you didn’t hear the glass chipping, even if you only slept 3 or 4 meters away from it. Well, I hope that the perpetrators will be found soon, but my hope is not that great. So here’s my email address, if anyone has any clues: [email protected]

  • A new one in the Audi lap ! 80er 1.8S

So people, yesterday it was great fit. Great weather, nice car rental and a totally rocked Audi 80 B3 1.8S with 226,000Km changed owner. Euro 2 is of course available ! The car is a smoker vehicle, so was not treated very carefully, and the paint is no longer the most beautiful, since it is also one of the most ingratitude colors in the VW/Audi regal. LY3D. The car had already 6 previous owners, but was equipped with a trailer clutch, fog lights and tacho Other electric helpers are not on board. I bought the car for a very good course because it still has TÜV until 06/11, and only the left outer wing joint has to be made, as well as the rear silencer. Underfloor is rust-free, as well as the whole coach. The car changed for 250€ instead of 450€ the owner. On Wednesday the car will be picked up from Kassel. More infos and reports from my side will be given. I am looking forward to the Audi, as it is equipped with tachometers. a first is. Greetings, your Volvo-850-Driver.

  • After the Audi 80 handbrake, but where?

Hello all, I have an old Audi 80 2.0E B3 with 113 hp. It also has rear disc brakes and they are relatively new. In the search I have seen that almost all have exactly the opposite problem with the hand brake, but it is like this: The hand brake starts after 2 steps and that so strong that the wheels stand! May be quite cool in winter, but the problem is that they do not solve 100%, especially when the brakes are warm, probably because the hand brake In my Audi book it says that there is a mechanism where the linkage of the hand brake lever and the two ropes converge. That’s exactly what I’m looking for! And find’s net. Some cars can be set at the hand brake lever, but not here, or did I miss something? Is the mechanism perhaps under the heat shields from the exhaust? Because whether they still go off reasonably, screws are completely rotted. Thanks for your help. Manu

  • Short pre-muffler question

Hi, is between the middle pot and the cat a separate piece that is mounted only by clamp? At BN I was told that if I had to order their plant, I would have an extra Y-piece that comes between Kats and MSD. Would be with the original exhaust. At the Fox plants it looks as if this Y-piece is directly welded to the MSD. So not separate. As with an S2 plant. If I think back, then I can’t remember that the original plant is a single one. The car is an Audi Coupe 2.8 Quattro. Small question by the way: What lengths do the catalysts of Audi (original) have ?
