Hello to all Have a question regarding current Sprinter! Is this correct that you have to close the cardan shaft when towing the current Sprinter on the lift goggles, or with rope/bar also with the manual transmission? With all-wheel and automatic this is logical, but with the normal switch?? If yes, why?? Does the oil pump run over the engine?

The first bump…
AAAAAARRRRGH!!!!!! Some A… face didn’t really make it in, or out of parking and caught on my passenger side the threshold of the wheel box! Of course he NOT registered… 2 weeks I have my A3 now… At the front place “only” 5 qm paint has burst away, so I can still live… I also got the rim again… BUT at the back place is a dent (breaks so beautifully in the sun * 8( * ) and deeper scratches Does anyone have any idea how expensive this can be? Still, it’s worth it to repair this, the car has just 1,300 km down… On Tuesday I have to go to the workshop anyway, the gas pressure springs and driving noise in the doors… Thank you for your answers!

Confusion due to MPU request
My husband had a traffic accident last summer (he was not the culprit, but he is completely indeterminate for the question). Due to a big birthday party on the previous day, my husband had alcohol in his blood at the time of the accident. Now it is the case that he has to take off an MPU in the past ( 7 years ago) because of alcohol in the road traffic. Now we have the invitation today to re-enter The fact that this will happen was clear to us since this accident, but what is really confused us is that we have not yet received a fine notice! Nor have we yet received any information about my husband’s driving licence! How can this be???? Today’s letter says “see the fine notice of November 22, 2012…” but we never got this one! We are a little confused… Should we be at the Bu ßgeldstelle? I mean, has my husband been driving around without a driver’s license since November 2012? Thank you for your answers.

Engine clackers at 991
Moin Moin I would have asked a question I drive because 991 Carrera S Bj 2012 with only 38000 Km After a tour on the weekend I noticed that the cracking of the single-fuel valves was louder than usual, the next day I went to the PZ center because of the cracking of the suspicion goes on initial status of an engine damage. So I ask myself at 38000 Km engine damage ? The vehicle was always at PZ for maintenance An endoscopy check was the first suggestion Has one also made such an experience Vi Elen thanks in advance for the help

Comparison: 2.3E vs. 2.6E vs. 2.8E
Hello everybody! So it’s about the above-mentioned motrorens, thought for the convertible. Which is the best compromise of driving performance and maintenance? Which is the BEST (can you say that at all?) ??? Sure, I thought the 2.8er has the most bangs, the 2.3er is the most economical. But is that really so? Yesterday I was just surfing around on the HP of a chip tuner for fun, and there stood at the consumption values WITHOUT power increase, that the 2.3er consumes more than the other two. Is that possible? So the smallest engine consumes the most? I know this has been chewed through a thousand times, but I want to know now exactly whether you can maintain these engines overhappy. I heard the 2.3er can swallow a lot but not, is that in some areas perhaps more economical? Is the consumption for the corresponding power ok? I mean a Honda v-tec with 150 or 160hp consumes by far less! Then the power. So especially a lot have the yes Not all for their displacement. I also heard that the 2.6 should be tired, and hardly drives better than the 2.3, only used up like the 2.8. What can you say about it? Then there was still with these data sheets that the 1.8 20V should have more torque than the 2.3. Real? How is the ratio with the weight?? So if you pull yourself in that the 2.5l of BMW 193PS, which the 2.8er nichma creates, then it seems poor to me at the first glance. Ciao Kersten

2018: is this already worth buying diesel cars, or would you rather wait?
the headline says everything: The prices are supposed to fall for diesel cars, and it seems to be really that way from the heart. But now also in September 2018 the taxes, i.e. the car taxes in Germany, are to be increased considerably, and therefore my question: is it worth it now because of the obviously falling prices for diesel vehicles to buy them or to wait better?

Hello to all 150hp TDI Leon drivers. Would you like to ask what you have on the highway at Vmax? If you have your 18″ or 19″ on it? How much U/min do you usually get? Thank you already in advance. Greetings Tino

Recommendation for purchase Tips etc. SL 500 R 129
Good morning together, I’m just starting to get involved with a R 129, 500 (until year of construction 1995) as a third-party vehicle. I want to become a pure summer car and then slowly grow into H status. As an old Audi driver, I’m of course a bit blank with the SL so far, concerning the characteristics/mistakes etc. of the model. Accordingly, I’d like to have a few hints of experienced SL 500 drivers, on what to pay attention to when buying (known Macks etc.) and experiences. on times thank you very much for the messages Gruss avanti62

Replacement shock absorber rear axle left on the SL500 (R230) year 10/2001
After 1-2 days of service life, my vehicle kicks off on the left side of the rear axle because of a slightly oily shock absorber. Does it make sense to install a reworked shock absorber, e.g. at Ebay or other source in exchange? I drive the vehicle only as a lover vehicle in summer only approx. 5000 km. repair and screw on the vehicle yourself, falls flat with me! At the same time I am looking for an experienced (ABC – suspension) workshop in the Rhineland, (possibly Cologne + 70 km), which costs me the necessary assembly and, if necessary, the procurement of the necessary replacement part, in their workshop. Can the users of my R230 series, who have already been affected by this damage, help me specifically with information (e.g. also expected repair costs for the described scope)?
