Servus together! Unfortunately I didn’t find anything about the search and on Google so directly also not of so I hope you can help me! And I heard that there are so-called spring memory with emergency release device at THW and fire department, say you only have to hit a certain place at the spring memory with the hammer and the brake would be free! Does any of you happen to know links to any pages where you can take a closer look at the construction of these things? Federspeicher an exact designation and can they only be installed at THW and fire brigade? Greetings and thanks S-XT

What do you think about oldies or youngtimers to do?
Hi, I’ve been driving a very well-preserved Golf 1 GX with 70 hp for almost half a year now, the car had when I bought it already a 60th complete chassis with 7×13 Mattig Sportstahl rims on it, so the already looked pretty horny. When I bought it I was really excited about driving something that you see very rarely nowadays. Well at the beginning I wanted to leave the car original but it got boring with the time, so clear glass would follow s, black rear lights, supersprint system from Kat, open air filter etc. Well now eater low, wide and loud …. in some sense “disfigured”. What do you think about old cars to tune about ?

Restoration… is it worth it? If so, where?
Hello dear ones. I’ve been working on the topic of restoration of vintage cars more recently, since I inherited one a short time ago. Now I’m not sure if a restoration would be worthwhile at all, or if I really want it. I came across this forum when I was looking for it. My vintage car is a Mercedes-Benz W110 190DC. Now it’s hard to assess whether the restoration is worth it, because it’s no longer in the very best condition. he might give someone a tip for me, where and if I should have the old car repaired again? Love greet you, Tija93

Commuter Kombi – very difficult decision
Hello guys, maybe one of you has a tip or ideas. The following starting situation: A commuter combo (100km a day, 50km a route) which comes with private rides on easy 30tkm/year He should not be too old, have automatic and at least 130 hp. definitely seat heating, climate control, cruise control. Now I can’t decide: either a new, less attractive car with a lot of warranty like e.g. a Hyundai I30 or for the same money a 3 Series BMW Touring, For example, 320d budget is 20-25k What would you do? Is really heavy – one would have no or little guarantee = risk Then the diesel question… at min. 30 p.a. probably the better choice? At least Euro 6 then. With so many kilometers the car should be fun, comfort and a nice interior. That’s why I came to the 320D (Facelift from 2015). But I am really unsure. There are so many cars on the market. Or an older one might buy its 100,000 or is it close to it? Perhaps more meaningful, if I drive so much in the year anyway? Perhaps one of you was faced with similar questions? LG Dennis

Muscle Car ## 80/90s Retro
Hello together, I bought a new Seat Leon Cupra 2 months ago and am also super satisfied – a very great car where the price/performance ratio more than fits! However, I always had the desire for a pure “fun/hobby car” to care for and drive out. (of course I also care for my Cupra ) I would like a Muscle Car and thought about Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, …but also for further suggestions – gladly also 80s/90s cars from D euchland, Japan, etc. Cost of purchase: I thought of 5T€-10T€, air up would still be there, but preferred in this range. Of course, I don’t want to buy scrap and I know: who buys cheap buys 2x maintenance costs: per month I thought so about All-Inclusive 300-400€ (insurance, fuel, maintenance, reserves repair, etc.) Now it’s up to you, please skin out your suggestions, no matter if convertible or coupe, just everything that fits in this time Please also with the Of course: the cheaper, the better – but it shouldn’t be cheap or scrap. Thank you LG Jonas

Who offers me the most for my used …
Hi * I have here a 2006 focus with a discreetly insinuating engine damage (oil consumption 6l on 1000 on the highway) repair costs between 2-3000 Eu. Not economical. But also hard to knock, at least with a clean conscience. I drive a lot of city, sometimes also on trips, 10-15000 km/year. Which new car dealer offers a good offer to take my Ford in payment when buying new and who offers a recommended new car. I had a Hyundai I30 ( Fastback) looked at, also a new focus would be nice, both not in the wooden equipment therefore easily above the budget and a bit of power would not be bad … he should cost so around the 20K +/- or under it, gladly also with a minus 5% financing … makes times offers … a golf is over there, right? Skoda also has beautiful Töch … cars … important to me would be the Kombi Old car away / new car ago … Greeting M

Insurance Reclassification Right?
Moin Moin, I had a parking accident a few months ago. Over the night someone drove me to my car (cratzer at the fender, front skirt and the rim) and started hit-and-run. I called the police directly, which took the damage. After a few weeks came a letter from the police saying that they could not find anyone and that the advertisement was dropped. I also informed my insurance company and should have my car in a We In the given workshop, I had an estimate made, but did not take advantage of the insurance’s performance and still live with the scaffolding on my car. This morning, a letter came from my insurance by saying that I should be reclassified in my freedom of claims class and pay about 215€ more annually. Is that right? I mean, I only reported the damage, but none of the insurance claims What am I going to be reclassified for? I have a full insurance.

45 years accident-free not recognised
In Germany I have been driving accident-free for more than 20 years, after which I have lived abroad for 25 years and have not had an accident for 25 years.Back in Germany I have tried to allow a car on me,but I have to pay the maximum rate of insurance, because my German accident-free time is back for so long. What can I do?Is there a car insurance, where I have to pay normal contributions and not be treated like a driver? Porsche driver: driving style – reputation and reality
I would be interested in what you as a Porsche driver generally do for a driving style and how you classify yourself in this respect compared to other road users. Porsche drivers do not generally enjoy the reputation of being one of the more accommodating road users, but this often looks the other way around in reality (keyword: representative diesel). Depending on the attitude, one can understand quite different things by a “quiet driving style” Which possibilities do you use to drive out the car or to move it in a real way? Rather the famous Sunday morning on the BAB/ country road or sometimes a racetrack visit? By the way, there is a survey on speed crossings and personal limits here: Survey: How fast do you really drive?

Avensis D4-D-Cat, engine problems
Hello, driving an Avensis D4-D Cat as a station wagon for about 1 year. From day 1 (new vehicle) I noticed that the engine was running in high idle for far too long after cold start. When rolling off before the traffic light the idle speed was increased to 1,200 rpm – and that happened regularly until long after the actual cold start phase. Several attempts to fix the error failed. The problem was not new to the Toyota people at all, as I learned. But nobody knew what to do. In consultation with Toyota Germany, for example, a fuel line was renewed. The latest software version was supposed to be played up, but it already had. When I wanted to return the vehicle – after all, the apparatus used around ten liters and for that one actually does not buy a diesel – another attempt was carried out by a new master. He just came fresh from Mitsubishi and knew the problem because it occurred more frequently with them. This master was not too shy. The car ran excellently for a long time. However, it was never a saver’s miracle. I rarely came under 8 liters – despite the mostly quiet driving method. Thus, the Avensis consumes about 2 liters more than comparable VW/Audi with 170 hp. This is also known at Toyota. Shortly before the first inspection, the well-known problem was announced again and should be solved in the future. In addition, the EGR valve was renewed. Unfortunately without success. Only after reaching the 6th partial stroke on the cooling water thermometer it is warm enough for the engine to be able to do without the speed increase to 1,200 in the stand. Result: He needs now more than one liter. Also the complaint with repeated verification did not do anything. Unfortunately, the ‘smart master’ no longer exists and he obviously has his intention to know how The new master now even claims that this is state of the art with the engine, although the engine has run quite differently in the meantime. But maybe I only dreamed it. Maybe someone can tell the new master how to fix the error. Would I be pleased. M. O.
