Change of oil: 10’000 km or 1 x per year ?
Yesterday it was noon, we picked up our “new” 9-3 Aero Cabrio 05/2001 at Hirsch in St.Gallen.http://homepage.hispeed.ch/swanage/ –> new convertible … The car has 36’500 km, is from May 2001 and provides 230 hp (Hirsch Step 1). The service was all carried out at Hirsch: 30.05.01 11 km Delivery 25.01.02 9308 km incl. oil change 13.02.03 20’628 incl. oil change 07.06.05 28’959 incl. oil change 21.07.05 33’730 incl. oil change The long time span is remarkable here between 13.02.03 and 07.06.05 ! Sensitized by the many reports in this forum, probably every Saab driver asks himself whether the oil sludge problem could also affect his own car. Therefore my question: what is decisive for the change interval: the 10,000 km or the time (e.g. 1 x yearly) ? 15 years ago I was told that a change per year was mandatory because the oil water can “take up”. Is this true or with today’s fully synthetic oil not acceptable ? What is your experience ? Should I take oil pan / oil sieve at the next service and have it checked ? The competent salesman at Hirsch was of the opinion that this was not necessary. Thanks for all opinion !! Andreas

Take over SFR from Grandfather
Hello! My wife grew up completely with her grandparents. Therefore, she has lived in a home with her grandparents for more than 20 years, but of course no longer. (We live in the same village, but not in a home community) The grandfather is now very old and would like to know his car, which will become a vintage car in a few years, well accommodated. I have now explored all the insurance conditions of the insurance companies, where we motor vehicle Contracts have … HUK (car of the grandfather), LVM (car of my wife), DEVK (my everyday car), VGH (our convertible) … and all demand a first degree relationship, or the domestic community. Which of the insurances mentioned (HUK, LVM, DEVK, VGH) will be the most promising candidate to negotiate that my wife’s relationship with her grandparents will be evaluated as parent-child? (is everything with youth office-pflegschaftsbescheinigung, Aufenthalt-bestimmungs-recht, etc. b weisbar) What other insurance would that be worth? Thank you and greeting!

Car registration at the second residence, is that possible?
Hello, I move to another city next month. Then I wanted to call my parents as a second residence, where I often stop! Can I then register my car at the second residence, as I could then keep the number. Insurance would be cheaper than in the new city. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Completed with how much SB most useful?
I’ve already used the search function, but I didn’t get much out of it, so I’m asking you again specifically for my case: I recently bought an Audi A3 8P year 11/2007. The car has 57000km and has a slight hail damage. Price was 700€, so a real bargain, because the value of the racket is about 10990€ and the hail damage was estimated at 250€ and I can also go to nem Beulendoc and can have it repaired for only 1000€. I think I’ll leave it that way for the time being, because that’s hardly noticeable. So, now I took up a loan for financing, i.e. I decided, of course, for a fully-fledged directline. I had briefly considered the exclusive tariff-fledged SPAR, which only exists with directline; means exactly: Total damage is paid as with full-fledged damages, but not minor damage. So is located between partial cascade and fully-fledged though price-wise as well as from the services and thought for cars from an age of about 5 years with still relatively high residual value. But I think that I rather let it be because a direct insurance like this one has to come somehow to money and they will then put everything on it as little as possible to pay and exclude everything possible, because I rather pay n couple of euros more and have everything in it. Since Directline is notorious, customers also like to quit, if too many accidents have happened, I have a Raba for safety reasons. ttretter built in, which means I have an allowance per year. Only I ask myself now, how much excess should I take with the comprehensive? 150€ SB : 840€ 300€ SB : 755€ 500€ SB : 720€ 1000€ SB: 650€ I had briefly thought about taking 1000, because I still have a bit of something on the side, but actually I didn’t, because it belongs to the loan, of which the 300 are more reasonable. I calculated that you have to drive about 7 years accident-free, so that the annual Erspa But as soon as you have an accident, the shit is steaming at a higher SB. Statistically speaking, the German is building an accident every 12 years, so on the other hand, it would have to go well, but at least chess sense again, because I certainly don’t guarantee the car for 7 years more comprehensively. So, what do you think? Thanks for your tips in advance!

Lawyer: Yes or No?
moin, I have an urgent question: do I have to pay my lawyer for the opposing insurance, even in case of a minor damage at the kfz, but a present person’s damage (pain money)? I have read about damage at the kfz, the insurance only pays a lawyer above the bagatell border (about 700 euro). our car is still in the workshop. so far it is probably a bagatell damage (felgen/reifen). the track will only be measured tomorrow and there can be some crookedness…. background: my girlfriend had an unindebted accident with our car at the end of the week. the opponent of the accident and his insurance have confessed her fault. my girlfriend was unable to work the morning after the accident and the beginning of the week with 2 doctors. diagnosis: cervical spine distortion after hurling trauma and slight brain shake = 1 week. should/must I take a lawyer to make claims for pain money?

Insurance doesn’t even pay half?
Hey guys, I was involved in an accident a month ago where someone else drove me to park on the back. In the incident my car was in the standstill I was inside and a witness confirmed everything and was questioned by the police. So I had a quote made where he estimated the damage at about 1.100€ Today I got a letter from his insurance with a cost fee of only 866€ and the actual transfer of only 433€ with fol We have to deduct the costs of transporting the vehicle. However, we will refund them if they actually occur during the repair of the vehicle. According to the evidence, there is a division of liability according to 317StVG of 50:50. The collision occurred in a parking lot. Here the mutual consideration applies. Therefore, we refund the damage to 50% I agree that even though my vehicle has driven exactly 0Km/h and has been confirmed by a witness ic h not get the full damage compensated?

Reviews: “cheap” battery tools – Parkside vs. Güde vs. ?
Hello together, thought, I’d rather open a thread!! In the first line, I’m now talking about my own experiences and soberly looked at aspects, not just a “cheap scrap” shovel!! I’m currently looking for a cordless impact wrench, which facilitates with the work with occasional screwing on the car, screwing around on the yard is with constantly busy posture as well as on the knees quite uncomfortable! Since a real tool range but only in a paa I would like to build on my existing battery screwdrivers, but I will not find Worx 16V and B&D 18V and I would have to upgrade the battery ́s anyway or so… From this point on it goes to the same cost… From the parkside there are some youtube videos, where wheel screws are solved quite well!! Unfortunately not by Güde… Any other suggestions? Would you like to get a e brand, where there are other devices for, sometimes I also have something to make rum, where I miss circular saws/stitch saws and replacement battery ́s are even more worthwhile… Hope there are a few who have already dared the step Many greetings Mopedcruiser

Inexcusable accident – what do I have to do now?
Hello, this morning a truck with trailer took my car, which was parked on the parking strip. Actually the whole driver side is broken… The opponent is insured at the Kravag and that was already an experience call, because they absolutely wanted to send me their expert (CarExpert). Well, that I could ward off. But then I was told, that with another expert the approval of the report can not take place immediately and that this then takes up to 6 weeks. can, since the opponent has to answer first. On the advice of the expert I have already taken a lawyer, since I now have an appointment tomorrow. The following costs of the report are already available to me: replacement value approx. 10.800€ damage amount : approx. 4.826€ impairment: 600€ usage loss: 35€ per day Now I am thinking about whether I have the car repaired (Corsa D, 03/2010, 14tkm) or not. nothing more… That in the case of a repair the insurance replaces the cost plus replacement value plus usage loss is clear to me. But what does it look like, for example, if I sell the car unrepaired? What do I have to do then? Of course there is one or other expert here. Thank you very much S.
