  • Windshield seal missing?

    On my R231 from 2012 the windshield was replaced last week because of rockfall. On today’s first trip, the wind noises from 120 km/h seemed quite loud to me. Then I looked at the new disc a little bit more closely and found a 6 mm wide and about 5 mm deep air gap at the top, between the disc and the frame. I am not sure if it was already available before, or if there is a gasket or the part of a gasket missing now. . I will drive to the workshop again on Monday, but it would certainly be good if I didn’t stand there so stupid. Maybe someone can help me by looking at his R231. Thank you in advance. Hinnerk

  • Petrol in oil and oil loss

    Hello, as some of you know, I didn’t swap the crankshaft on my scooter all too long ago. Apparently, all of this didn’t go as smoothly as I thought, because I had a bigger problem, rather than even 2. First I noticed 2 weeks ago, after the stronger rain, where my scooter had to be covered, that there were 2 drops under it, apparently engine oil. I didn’t think anything about it, because I thought that the rain might have washed dirt down. However, it is always the case that if the scooter is half a day or a whole day, under it are always 2 drops. So I looked and at the deepest place where the engine halves come together, it obviously flows out. I don’t know if I have not tightened the screws firmly enough, or if it is related to the next error: I wanted to check the oil level and, why ever, smelled on the measuring rod: the result is, there must be petrol in the oil, since it already In addition, the stand is probably slightly higher than I had filled in engine oil there.     Hello, have there a problem that I already had with my previous car itself engine 1.8t in the golf iv when I start quickly with over 3000-4000 upm start the bikes eeriely jumping the cars poltert like sow and it just sounds really unhealthy and that’s what I always have at wet when you start normal. how can I get rid of or minimize that? when I drive cars from friends who also have front drive and with a lot of speed or when driving rain the bikes simply spin through but catch n he to jump on. is that on the engine or how does that come to pass? am grateful for all tips. mfg Evil.

  • ESP and ABS lamps light simultaneously

    Hi together, I just changed my TT Roadster Quattro 3 months and so far the coupling rods, the stabis, spring bearing and drive shaft have been changed. 🙁 The car has now 73 tkm down, is year 03/00. Now I have a problem with the car for about 250 km again. Sometimes the ABS and the ESP lights light up at the same time and only extinguish after re-ignite once or several times. Have tried if then quattro might not work or something like that. It turns b a wet road when starting no tire through. What can that be? Someone had this problem before? Somehow I really lose the fun of the car, especially because I drove it only 3000 km. Most of the km from it to the workshop. Greetings Christof

  • SLK R170, turns, starts briefly but immediately again – 3 workshops HILFLOS !!!

    Who can help ? The SLK200 Bj.1999 R170 was parked while shopping on the parking lot and afterwards he didn’t spat on anymore !! He starts, turns briefly and goes out again. After about 6 months he still does not run, although 3 workshops have tried it. Petrol pump runs, K4o swapped and all power connections checked – NO success !!EXCLAIMER shows the following error : 1.   • Problem with opening/closing my SLK 230 Bj 2001

    Hello, at my SLK today suddenly the following error occurred (Bj. 2001, 230 Compressor) The ZV does not work anymore via the key, the inside button goes. The turn signals indicate how normal 3x when closing, 1x when opening, but it does nothing. Manual unlocking of the left door works, but the trunk, tank flap and right door are not locked.   • DT175MX 2K4 (1979) Motor restoration/reconstruction

    Hello together, I bought my DT fresh and of course it blocked the rear wheel with my luck and most probably eaten. Since I don’t want to start 5 times I would have removed the engine and completely rebuilt it. In addition, it should be brought technically to a more modern level.
