Dear oldtimer friends, does someone happen to know if it is possible to research on whom a car number was registered in the period before 1945? This means specifically whether there was a central registration register or one for the different countries in the German Reich and whether this directory is preserved somewhere in an archive until today, e.g. in the Federal Archives. I am concerned with a vehicle that was probably registered in the 1930s Westphalia. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you and Greetings to Sabrina

Tuv or full report on the motorcycle
Hello Have a Guzzi team The motorcycle is a Cali II Built. 1984 The Motorrd is registered with a season registration mark, so not signed off. I want to bring the part back on the road Only the Tüv has expired since 5. 2019, because I drove the part 2018 the last time. Now my question: Is it enough if I just have the Tüv made, or I need after such a long time a full report. Greeting Werner

Which car is right for me?
Hi, my name is Philipp and I am the new I have had my driver’s license since November last year and am currently driving a Renault Clio. A nice car and it fully fulfills its purpose as a first car. But now I am increasingly thinking about another car. I have been very interested in jeeps and other off-road vehicles for a long time, but I can’t afford such a car because of fuel consumption. My Clio consumes around 6 to 7l. At 8l it would be so unheard of. I’m looking for a car with which I can also drive to the festival (metal festival). Visually, I’m looking for such cars as this one:http://www.motorvision.de/…/offroad-berg-strecke.jpg or (may such ads be shown here? If not, please delete):http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?… I don’t like a VW. Do you know something that would be recommended for me? If you still have information bria cht to narrow down the election, then tell me =) I already thank you for the answers, Grützi Philipp

Towing vehicle for horse hangers of 3/4 (3.5t)
Hi people Hope you can help me. I’m looking for a towing vehicle for a 3/4 horse trailer, need 3.5t trailer load. Actually, I’m a fan of the Defender, but this is not really motorized (must be a diesel) and in the hand-operated version also not exactly the yellow of the egg in the trailer operation. Then I got there in the forum also a hint that the Defender in the trailer operation gets extremely at its power limits and already As I mostly travel in the Bernese Oberland, a certain power is of course an absolute must for me. Now, from the archaic type, which a Defender reflects for me, the off-road primeval rock JEEP can easily keep up with. And with JEEP I like the Wrangler Unlimited in Sahara execution. Now I am looking for tips, at least also from horse fools, who can tell me if a Wrangler Unlimited with the 2.8 CRD machine is suitable for the trailer operation. Since I can not tucker with my 3 horses from garage to garage and test different towing vehicles 2, 3 weeks, I am naturally dependent on information and experience of Wrangler drivers, but also look forward to tips from drivers of other manufacturers, am very brand-open. In advance thank you very much for your efforts. Salut Alfan

Load distribution 7.5-ton
I have a question about loading / load distribution for “7,5-tons” – I’ve been searching through the complete Internet 5 times and can’t find a diagram from which I can take this: A (example) MB Atego 818 with case structure is to be loaded with pallets of 235kg each and then unloaded individually from different customers. Can I (only weight technical!) always simply unload the next one at the back until the thing is empty, or must I at some point left x pallets direction Shifting the rear axle in order to be able to meet the permissible axle loads? Otherwise – if someone could give me roughly the maximum loads per load meter (if the load is parted) this would be very helpful 😉 Many greetings & thanks already!

Tyre damage 😮
Oh, terrifyingly let go….. Last week brought the truck from the TÜV – everything is fine. This week I do my tour and found out the tire damage (picture). What could have happened ? Age symptoms, that the tire starts to crumble ? Then it would have to be all 4 ….

Atego 818 vs. TGL 8,180
Hello! So far we have had a pure MB Atego fleet. Now we get 8 new MAN TGL with 180 or 1 with 240 hp. I would be interested in your experiences in terms of economy, satisfaction, handling, etc. with the TGL. And what would you rather take if you as a driver had the choice?! MFG

955i, engine goes off again and again
Servus Triumphler, I’ve just been takin’ the Sufu, but I didn’t find it. I’ve been my beloved 955i for years (since 1999). I’m still happy with the good one – with a small hook… The engine tends relatively regularly to go out at the dome or even at the traffic light (without clutch). Since the workshop never really got it right and the information that it’s just like that doesn’t really help me, I thought I’d ask the question here. K Does the problem still exist for one / anyone who has a 955i??? Did someone have it and got it under control? And don’t tell me now that I’m late – I just endured it until today. I’m grateful for every tip, because there is hardly a tour on which she doesn’t run out at least once.

Engine goes off when gearing
Hello, today I got my Tiger 955i (Bj. 2006). The battery was empty, it was suspended and charged. Now it jumps on immediately but immediately goes off again when I insert a gear. Does this have something to do with an immobilizer that is now no longer disabled because the power was gone? Greetings

Consumption Cayenne V6 vs. Cayenne S
Hi, my neighbour is a test driver for the Porsche plant Leipzig (no joke) and he compared the Cayenne S with the V6 in terms of consumption, but he wanted to tell me all the serious things that he drove the S with 11 liters on the motorway and the V6 with 15 liters (with the same driving mode, both models switches). I still can’t believe that because that would contradict the laws of physics because 8 cylinders naturally need more fuel than 6 cylinders. Who is both automat I am talking about a cosy, cruising driving style with 120 – 130 km/h cruise on the motorway and a maximum of 60 km/h in the city without traffic lights. What are realistic consumption values for the V6 and S (both automatic)?
