  • Spark plugs Torques

Dear Motor-Talk Community, I have changed spark plugs for three cars in the family, all three cars have now NGK spark plugs with flat seat and sealing ring. On the NGK website I have just read that it is recommended to put on spark plugs with 25nm – 30nm. I have set 20nm on the torque wrench for all 3 cars. Should I correct the torque again or can nothing happen because of 5nm difference? Next time I should go to the manufacturer’s site to Sufficient to lead Best regards Jan

  • O-ring balanced with gold – are there meaningful O-ring ranges for car screwdrivers?

I was in a bad position to have 10 O-rings in 3 sizes and 2 varieties. The Internet dealers wanted to see 40€ for this, the car dealer 35€, because both seem to me too much, these are cents articles, I found a local dealer, but paid loudly with the mandibels crunching 25€. That means, I weighed the weight with gold, unfortunately not excessive. There are many O-ring assortments, but did not see any among them, which more than one size of my 3 inside In the end, you are nothing but a nice dump for O-rings that you will never need 90%. I would like to have a range that has many sizes but only a few rings. What do you do there? Greetings

  • Small tour of Germany (Karlsruhe -> Dresden)

Hello, I’m new here and I’m about to hit you And I’ve finished my studies soon (end of August) and wanted to get a really nice tour with my motorcycle in September. I start at home, very close to the Black Forest, in Gaggenau and want to land in Saxony. More precisely in Zittau, almost on the Czech and Polish border On the way I want to take the most beautiful spots and motorcycle routes with me. R. Ideally on a different route. To my preferences: Well I drive a Kawasaki ER-6F with 72hp and ride quite sporty, but I’m not a heizer. I love curves and hate the highway or ever-long country roads that lead through all villages. Sometimes this is necessary and also completely ok, but should not be the destination of the tour. With me in the Black Forest I know by now quite well. I know the rest of Germany (motorcycle routes) but k aum. For this there are certainly also people who have their “home routes” in Thuringia or Saxony or somewhere else and know where it is most beautiful. So if you have ideas and say “You have to drive there absolutely long!”, then please write it here. References to good accommodation possibilities are of course also gladly seen.

  • Space Munich Tours

Hello Biker! Stay near Munich and look for nice people to ride together. Prefer the southern area of Munich and the Wendelstein area. I myself drive a ZXR 750 Bj.95, gladly even speedy. So who wants to post just no matter if athletes, tourers, etc. Greetings

  • One cylinder Enduro for Central Asia Tour

Servus people! next spring (2021) I would like to take a motorcycle tour from Germany to Central Asia and back again. The rough plan: Through the Balkans, through Turkey to Asia: Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan – maybe even further back to Mongolia and over Russia, Eastern Europe. 3-4 months, 20-30,000 km I think. Now I need the right moped for it Have looked around me like this, so I want to ga nz clearly a single cylinder enduro, as light and agile as possible. Can’t start with such fat adventure bikes absolutely anything, even if they certainly offer a lot of convenience and endurance fitness. I’ve picked out a few interesting ones:KTM 640 LC4 Adventure: Cool part, hard to find… Reliability!? high maintenance intervals…Yamaha TT 600 R: Did I read a lot of good, robust – but bit harder, but only air cooled…!?Honda CRF 250 Rally: Horny! S owas with 350 or 450 ccm I would buy directly… Suzuki DR 350 SE: Currently my favorite, has only 27 or 30 HP… Do you still fall in bikes or can you write your opinion about the listed ones? Thanks already for your answers, Greeting Martin

  • Travel enduro 19 or 21 inches?

Hello, Would like to get a trip enduro next year and I’m rather stunned which bike size it should become. I have to say that I have always driven only 17 inches of road bikes. Why travel enduro at all? Ride currently an old Kawasaki Versys 650 which is led as a crossover bike. Now I have discovered the motorcycle trip for me for 3 years and like to ride 400-500 km per day. The Kawasaki is a super motorcycle but what bothers me after many hours of driving is the narrow knee angle and that nevertheless very hard chassis. You can be very sporty on the way, which I really appreciate especially on day trips in my area, but it is already very on the bones, you do not get younger 🙂 I plan at least once a year a longer tour in the Alps, would also like to take gravel passes under the wheels, but then it should be very rare and only possible on holiday. Otherwise I drive many km on small rural roads with a lot of How are your experiences? Are 21 inch pure designed for the terrain and only with disadvantages on the road or is much dependent on the type of tyre? Can you drive on asphalt at all with 21 inch and the associated narrow 90 inch tires or should you rather set it to 19 inch? As I understand it, 21 inch roll much better about stones/holes and the ground clearance gets bigger. With 19 inch you have a Most people ride their bikes almost exclusively on the road, so why 21 inches? Or is the difference between 19 and 21 so marginal? I hope that one or the other will have advice.

  • Power GoPro7 on the motorcycle.

Does anyone have experience with GoPro 7 black, which is attached to the motorcycle in continuous operation? Have I installed a USB adapter from 12V to 5V 3A (China import) on the motorcycle, which ends the power supply of the GoPro after a few minutes (reclaimed and replaced, the same again). If a powerful USB port (fixed) is needed, can someone recommend me? Cheaply pay twice 😉 don’t want to experiment anymore. THANK YOU already.

  • TET Croatia

Good morning on all sides, so now we go in 3 weeks to the TET Croatia, are already really hot again… Last year the TET Romania was already a real challenge with our fully packed XRV ́s 😉 times a short question to the travel enduro drivers, should one avoid sections at the TET Croatia??? So the mopeds have about 270-280kg since we drive this time with full world travel luggage, quasi the rehearsal before it finally starts next year. The navigation, if you overhau pt runs via Garmin Montana 680. Perfect for off-road driving. Oh yes, if someone is interested in the Montana he can gladly contact us, we think about buying the new Garmin, but are not quite sure yet. We wish you another nice week. • Purchase advice

Hello! My friend wants to buy a new car, unfortunately her wishes cover a very wide field and I hope that I can get some tips or information here in order to be able to restrict this field. She finds Auris, Kia Ceed and Skoda Octavia beautiful. With the Skoda I know something at least with the engines, the rest is new to me. It should be a Fzg. of the compact class probably, inside large outside small, the Yaris she has already driven and that liked her v 5 doors should have a maximum limit of 15000 euros, needed. On the equipment side she is satisfied with a power steering. She tends to petrol, but in my opinion diesel would not be wrong either (she drives about 15 tkm/year). I had once made her aware of Kia Ceed and Hyundai i30, because one has read quite a lot of laudable for the introduction. Hyundai doesn’t like it that way. Seat Ibiza ST I still find quite nice, but guess the so I know there’s still a lot of space left, but would be nice if I could find out about the different engines here, as far as durability is concerned or problems with the above-mentioned models.

  • Which Corolla Verso 2.2 D-Cat would you buy?

For us there are 2 vehicles in the selection. Which would you decide for (especially depending on the price)? Vehicle 1 from the Toyota dealer: Toyota Corolla Verso Sol 2.2 D-Cat 3 years old 62,000 km on the clock New brakes, new summer tyres on aluminium rim, winter tyres on steel rim (profile depth not known, as the dealer has to search the tyres first…). Equipment: heater, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, on-board computer, 7 seats, tinted disks, parking aid, luggage compartment 2 years warranty from the Toyota dealer, whereby only in the first year the costs of repairs are fully covered. In the 2 year a part of the working time has to be paid depending on the KM stand. Customer service is made new before transfer. TÜV/HU are made new. Vehicle had a damage at the rear right. According to my invoice 9000 Euro. Has been completely repaired at Toyota. Stone strokes in the bonnet are still made by means of varnishes. A personal impression: engine is dry, drives clean, track-resistant. As far as I could see, Fzg has no rust. Cost point after negotiation: 14800 euros. Vehicle 2 from VW/Audi dealer: Toyota Corolla Verso Sol 2.2 D-Cat 5 years old 83,000 km on the clock Brakes ok, summer tyres on aluminium rim from 2011, winter tyres on steel rim (profile depth 6 + 8 mm) Equipment: trailer coupling, climate control, cruise control, on-board computer, 7 Si 1 year used car warranty from the VW/Audi dealer. Customer service is re-made before handover. TÜV/HU are re-made. Vehicle was damaged in the rear part of the trailer coupling. According to the invoice it was 2500 euros. Has been completely repaired at Toyota. Stone strokes in the bonnet have been fixed by means of a paint pen. Personal impression: engine is dry, however, driving not as clean as vehicle 1 – the engine is audible. As far as I could see no rust. Cost point after negotiation: 11000 euros. Now we are faced with the spoilt of choice. The seller of the VW/Audi car dealership has the car checked again on Monday from the workshop because of nailing and if necessary repair. The heater and the longer warranty, the lower age and the lower KM stand speak clearly for vehicle 1. 3800 euros less speak for vehicle 2. What my Are there any changes in the vehicle construction of the Corolla Verso between the years 2007 and 2009? Where could nailing come from? At this point thank you for reading. I look forward to your answers!
