Hello, I have Porker Pipes on my EVO and for some time now dissatisfied neighbors, as I drive to work very early in the morning. Now I have seen at Hein Gericke universal slipon silencer. Does anyone of you have experience with these dampers regarding sound and volume? I still have an original cracker system. mfG

912 – Start problems
Hi forum, I’ve been having problems with the 912 year 1969 for a long time. It doesn’t matter if the machine was cold or warm. The ignition works, all electrical consumers and lamps work, only when the engine starts up … nothing does. Neither the starter turns, nor moves anything else. However: wait after the first attempt 10 – 15min the car starts, as if nothing had been, then it runs perfectly. After the holiday woll This afternoon I moved him a little bit, he also jumped spontaneously. When driving out of the garage I strangled him unfortunately and since then the symptom described above appears again. Unfortunately, he doesn’t start at all anymore. I pushed him into the garage now, maybe you know something about it. Oh yes, starter and battery are new, I checked the fuses. If there is a little bit of the ignition lock in the suspicion, it is possible that the starter “nothing” And what else does someone know about this small toggle switch (marked) below the lower dashboard (under radio/heating)? Did they think it was an immobilizer, but unfortunately they can’t be started with it either… Thanks Max

How do I unfurl a transmission at the Honda HF2417 HME lawn tractor
The gearbox makes loud noises at the start of the tractor. The oil tank is empty above the gearbox. We thought the noises are caused because there may be no oil in the gearbox. Now we were told that the tank is only used as an expansion vessel and is probably air in the gearbox. How can I vent the gearbox myself?

Cannot format stick
Moin, I got a stick here, which is supposed to have annoyed last with “storage full”. I don’t know what they tried so far and maybe also screwed up. The fact is: 1.85 GB as RAW are displayed to me, formatting fails, partition delete and re-create does not work either. Stick is a buyond (globoflaet DL-Stick II), I have tried now Windows7 Bordmittel, EaseUs Partition Manager as well as Paragon. Paragon reports incorrect assignment units, chkdsk /f/r X: “not available for RAW” EaseUs seems to make everything fine, but after the update everything is the same. Does anyone still have the saving idea or can one consider the stick as broken? Maybe someone has the saving idea, otherwise I would have to bring the message that the stick has to be new. Soo was also not expensive the iirc compared to the VDO, which he had before and where you could take a vacation to read out the cars. Thanks already and a s Happy weekend.

Gluing, welding or screws??
Hello guys, I plan to build a roof support for my camper (Mercedes Sprinter – high roof). 6 feet made of galvanized 4-kant tube should provide the basis for 3 traverses. Since the camper is already isolated from the inside and I don’t want to drill so much I wanted to ask what do you think about it if I stick the feet with Sikaflex 260 or similar stuff? Epoxy resin or n glue from Jowat might be an alternative. these super glues are an alternative to welding in terms of durability. Thank you for your answers… LG Carsten

Tyre air pressure at WOWA ?
Hello Campergemeinde, I have now taken my (purchased last year) WOWA from the winterquatier and screwed on the wheels. Now my question is, how much air should I blow in there now. It is 185 R 14 tires under a 15 year old LMC 545K with 1400kg total weight, which I also have to take full advantage of. Thanks already and until then, Lars

which 911 models have collector quality
I haven’t followed Porsche for 30 years, I had Targa and then the first SC convertible new, I turned off Porsche in 1983 after in the PZ Wien Liesing the Porsche employees were only envious, mistrustful and after the young Postrche drivers against arrogant, aud today I know they have not even earned pocket money against our income in the 70 and 80s. After several Ferraris,600 S, and SL today I have to put my hat in front of Postrche like the second For me an incentive to acquire some F and G models, already to make my numerous jacks colder. May I ask myself to teach which G and F models I should start collecting, I tend to Targa. With best thanks and a beautiful Easter Monday Mick

New GTDI 2.0 – a real Volvo engine?
Hello, I’m not an expert in this field, but I tried to find out with the help of photos whether the new GTDI 2.0 is a real Volvo engine. Volvo had developed a modular 4.5.6 cylinder engine family with the help of Porsche Weissach at the beginning of 1990 such as the 6 Zyl in the 960/S80I, 5 Zyl in the 850/S40II/V50/S60/S80/etc., 4 Zyl in the S40I/V40 (e.g. T4). Also the D5 diesel and the new i6 (built by Ford in Bridgend/Wales) use the same base block. De r i6 also has some Ford elements (e.g. control chain). picture1.jpg (GTDI 2.0) reveals at first glance a typical Volvo engine identity: the block is slightly tilted to the side (see above both camshafts opposite engine cover). picture2.jpg shows the inclination of a Volvo 5 cylinder. This inclination is also present with old pre-Porsche/Weissach Volvo engines, e.g. 4 Zyl in 240. The inclination ensures that the piston always “stitches” at one particular side and at the o Ford/Mazda engines, on the other hand, are installed straight from the candles. picture3.jpg shows the 1.8 in my V50 which corresponds to the Ford (Mazda) Duratec HE. Pre-Mazda Ford engines are also installed straight from the candles. With Ford engines the same effect is achieved because the conrod is not exactly attached to the center of the piston. This is not visible with the naked eye and there should have been hobbyists who did not pay attention to it when disassemblying/assemblying their engine. et haben 😉 bild4.jpg (GTDI 2.0) shows, however, that Volvo has operated on the base block of the Duratec HE and thus breaks with the modular 4.5.6 Zyl Porsche/Weissach Volvo engine blocks. This can be seen precisely from the ribs compared to a real Ford/Mazda 4 Zyl block (fig.5.jpg). The modular 4.5.6 Zyl Volvo blocks, on the other hand, have right-angled ribs (fig.6.jpg: 5Zyl 850, fg.7.jpg: 5Zyl, fg.8.jpg: D5). The oil tank, on the other hand, does not seem to come from the Duratec HE but rather from v On Volvo. Has Volvo borrowed the base block from Ford, developed its own cylinder head, fitted a different oil pan and installed the engine inclined because of other conrods/pistons? The Duratec HE is not a bad engine (the base block is very light), but the block is not modular! In other words, Volvo cannot easily develop a 5 or 6 Zyl version from this engine. For this, the block is optimized especially for the 4 Zyl configuration, which is the smooth running, the weight of the engine. However, can Volvo continue to use this block without expensive license payments to Ford, as Volvo is now part of Geely? Does anyone know more? Greetings, Patrick
