  • Water temperature display

Hello together… Does anyone know how / where you can eliminate / turn off this stupid VW typical “driver calming” of the water temperature indicator? Like all cars from Skoda to Audi, this remains at 90 degrees, probably in order not to worry the driver that the water boils at 100 degrees 🙂 Only in case of a defect, when the water temperature rises above 120 degrees, the correct value, together with an inflammable warning lamp, is indicated. I would like to always have the right value in the Di splay, just like at the oil temperature. Does anyone have experience how to get this done? Thanks in advance…

  • Purchase advice 996

Hello together, my friend and I have been thinking about buying a nice convertible for the summer for some time. After some searching we have set ourselves on the Porsche 911 996. The mileage will amount to a maximum of 3000km per year and the vehicle will be moved exclusively in the summer. We want to spend a maximum of 22k€ because we bought a daily car only in July. Unfortunately for the money you get only VorMopf models with relatively high running performance. Summer is now as good as it is, the thought would be to wait a bit and put aside some money to buy a MoPf next year, if necessary, with less than 125,000km. The fear is that the used car prices are going through the ceiling, as it is unfortunately already the case with most cars. 10 minutes away from us is the following vehicle for sale, which we are looking at this week. I found this offer at AutoScout24.https ://www.autoscout24.de/…/…5b85-5a9c-4c28-b27f-7a07bed85b60?… Price: € 19.900,- Mileage: 183,988 km What is your honest opinion about this or what would you advise me to do? Thank you in advance.

  • MB-Telligent – Driver searched

Hello, in another thread it was claimed that the Telligent circuit burdened the driver unnecessarily and heavier, especially in tricky situations, the safe operation of the truck. On my question for an example of such a situation there was nothing more about it. Who can give an example in which a brittle situation was worsened by this circuit? PS.Contributions of the designated Telligentverachter(ScaniaChris and Schrolf 97) are not counted!

  • Honsa NT650V Deauville – stand gas/choke/gasifier

We bought a Deauville from 2004 for a friend with just under 5000 km. It was in the garage for the last 2 years. So new battery and fuel went in and org. With Choke it ran out, but as soon as you gave gas it went out. Today we cleaned up the carburettor. Now the half run round, but only with the stand gas screw at the stop, which is actually not the point. In addition, it swallows itself for a short moment at the beginning. in the first gear and also further accelerate in the second gear. He goes through the other gears well. Tap on the carburettor setting. So can someone explain to me how and where the screws are to adjust on the carburettor (double carburettor?)? Have also taken some pictures. Thanks in advance.

  • But no more car tax ! summer hole!!!

Red-Green calls for gasoline 14 cents! But no more car tax Berlin – petrol could soon become much more expensive The reason: According to “FAZ” Red-Green wants to abolish the car tax, instead increasing the mineral oil tax. In order to compensate for the previous car tax revenues of approx. 8 billion euros, diesel would have to become more expensive by 10 cents/litres, gasoline and super even 14 cents – up to 1.50 euros per litre. The ADAC finds the idea “superior”. However, one speaker warns: “A switchover must be income neutral, especially for commuters must not become a cashier model. Environmentally correct, however, is: Whoever drives a lot, then pays a lot too.- When the car tax would be removed exactly, is still open.

  • Actros Turbo Damage

Hello together! Unfortunately it caught our good 3350 AK, with 600 tkm in the wood transport: early in the morning the shaft of the engine stowage brake broke off, the flap fell to it. Amazingly, the M8 bolted lightly, where we unscrewed the flap from the shaft. In the late afternoon a screaming noise, driver stopped engine immediately, today towed to the MB workshop and: turbocharger damage, as we thought, the left lost a shovel on the compressor wheel, not exhaust side you don’t notice much when the engine was running at the stand, only a howling, like with a hair dryer. So, now the question arises to me, can this all be a coincidence?? We swap the turbos, clean everything, splinters we found no, oil tank comes down, LLK I want to leave.

  • Who knows about Deutz F8L 312 engines?

Hello everyone, have a Magirus Deutz 168 D 17 standing at home, which does not want to start motor: F8L 312, V8, air cooled, 186hp, flame starter I renewed: -new starter -new batteries -1 new flame glow candle -diesel lines cleaned from tank to injection pump -new diesel filter -old diesel drained and new diesel filled in -1 new high pressure line -Webasto stand-up heating decommissioned (in one year it would have dropped anyway) After a few start attempts the engine makes 3-4 kl a cougher, then sprayed a bit of brake cleaner into the air intake line, when starting the engine jumped away immediately but only as long as he got brake cleaner, after that nothing again. I suspect that the engine still does not get diesel, despite airing, but I don’t know why. Have pictures of the injection pump (Bosch PE8A 85C410 LS2212), in the hope that someone can enlighten me a bit about it and for what the 2nd control rod (picture 2, I point with finger on it) is thought because it only leads out of the back of the engine and at the end is a ball as a handle on it.

  • McLaren570/Ferrari458/R8 Help and Tips

Halli Hello, I had already written a contribution to the R8 and informed myself a little bit. I have been playing a sports car for a long time with the idea to buy me a sports car. Now the question is in the room which brand? And which model? Well I had chosen 3 sports cars (each of 3 different brands). Once the Mclaren 570s, a Ferrari 458, or an Audi R8 V10 coupé. I would consider a financing with a down payment. I know in about wv of the R8 in the maintenance cost t. Now I ask you what the Ferrari and Mclaren costs. I prefer the Mclaren. Although I have the money, I would logically plan the purchase and the maintenance costs as sparingly as possible. I know that each of these vehicles has its own contras and pros, nevertheless I would be interested in what would be the cheapest in purchasing and handling in terms of maintenance. Would I be happy about tips and own experiences. I would like to thank sc. Honmal in advance MfG. Snoopy
