Permanent advertisements at the start of MT
Every time I start MT, the site has been trashed with ads for a few weeks. When I click through the individual forums, it’s not like that anymore. Looks like it’s the only forum I’m active in, the only one where I get so “disturbed”, I guess it’s the forum software that doesn’t block this, despite AddBlocker, despite registration. It’s getting annoying. Usually it should look like that.

who knows the history of the 129 AMG 63
Hello everybody, someone knows the exact equipment and technical modification of the 600 SL AMG 63? The Bj is 7/1995 and he has 440 HP. I got the good piece from Japan, unfortunately he makes me a little worry because he does not run properly. I would like to know more about the conversion scope and the equipment. On the ashtray cover is also a handwritten signature. In the plant you will find the AMG badge with chassis number. Thanks for information Jürgen

Brake disc still okay?
Hello, I would like to ask for your assessment of my brake disc, as I am not quite sure if a change is necessary. I drive a Kia Ceed BJ 2010 (135,000km). There are still the first brake pads and the first brake discs on it. I have now taken a picture when changing tyres (at the front right – see appendix). The brake disc has a minimum degree. And hold a lot of rust on the outside at the edge. Front right disc thickness: approx. 24,4mm Front right brake pad thickness: approx. 4mm V orne left disc thickness: approx. 24,5mm front left brake lining thickness: approx. 5mm rear right disc thickness: approx. 10mm rear right brake lining: approx. 2mm So brake linings I definitely have to change in my opinion. The brake discs at the back still look good. The brake discs at the front look good (no grooves, scratches etc.), but the rusty outer edge makes me worry and the age of 7 years? And what do you say about the brake disc thickness at the front? Do you even have to add new discs on here? Thank you in advance for your assessment Greetings

Evergreen: TÜV and non-functional front fog lamps
Hello everybody, it’s about a fog lamp being defective due to a small accident. The NSW should not be repaired or replaced any more; only because the standard NSW has never done anything anyway. Now the TÜV is available and one reads a lot about the topic. The range here ranges from “must be repaired” to “glue off” to expand. But the best thing is still “comes to the examiner”.Question: Does someone have a thoroughbred ck, with what little effort (without repair!) one definitely comes through the TÜV or which small solution the TÜV examiner must accept?

Autonomy from level 3 onwards – what is the current state of play?
From level 3 onwards, I think autonomy is really interesting. Everything before that is for the driver who doesn’t know 100% how his car reacts in what situation in autonomous mode, sometimes with danger or too little attention (even though level 2 can already provide relief or safety in many driving situations). GM wants to offer level 5 – autonomy in 2019: https://www.businessinsider.de/…ric-car-no-steering-wheel-2018-1?… (I think you can get away with it.) Ford wants to offer 2021 Level 4 – Autonomy: https://corporate.ford.com/innovation/autonomous-2021.html Volvo wants to offer 2021 Level 4 – Autonomy: https://www.cnbc.com/…/…-sleep-watch-movie-on-commute-by-2021.html Audi wants to offer 2019 Level 3 – Autonomy in the A8: https://www.audi-mediacenter.com/…/…tten-zum-autonomen-fahren-9311 (though limited as a traffic jam assistant up to 60 km/h) Mercedes wants 2020 Level 3 – offer autonomy in the S-Class: https://www.autoguide.com/…/…us-driving-coming-s-class-option.html BMW wants to offer Level 3 – autonomy: https://www.bmw.com/en/automotive-life/autonomes-fahren.html This seems to be a strangely different progress, but if you look at the (planned) test fleets like this, it is hardly surprising that GM wants to be so much faster:http://www.manager-magazin.de/…/bild-1187122-1235711.html Honda could overtake the competition via Waymo; Does anyone know what the stand is like? In any case, like Toyota 2020, they want to have autonomous cars at least on highways to the Olympic Games in Japan; with what level exactly, I couldn’t find.

Rear wiper / cover tailgate
The fuses look OK so far; the water pump still works. And at the front everything is OK (permanent, interval, water). To look back to the right, I wanted to remove the cover – anyway, because the trunk light has been shining permanently for some time now. Now I have a problem. Here in the forum I found the tip that you can see that the light is always on the right side. If I loosen the two screws and pull them out, the lower part of the cover will dissolve without any problems; there are 2 holding plugs that will dissolve immediately. But there is nothing moving up (to the disc)! From the position of the plastic noses, which I can still see, I would assume that you have to press towards the disc. But that alone it is not yet… Then I noticed that the wiping water not only has to be removed. the nozzle sprays out, but also out of the now semi-open cladding. Probably the water is then also the reason that the boot switch does not work properly anymore?! Questions: – Do I have to press the cover in a certain direction / rub it, push it somewhere or is there any other hot tip? – is the wiper motor switched over a separate fuse, or together with the water pump? – can I save anything as layman at all if there is water splashing out, o the wiper motor is usually so broken that I need a new one anyway? Unfortunately, this seems to be a common problem… Thank you for your help! mr

600 km with a tank in a Lupo 1.4 16v
Wow, it’s done. I filled up the 600 km today. I didn’t even get to the tank with the last rest, was still not out of the red area. As already described. 95% highway, and traffic, weather and fatigue due to only 90-100 kmh. The first 50 km were even put back with speed 140-170, so would be even more in it. Today I have used 38,34 liters, so also this “additional tank”, but I do that for a longer time. I think, however, that you can do it. The fun factor: Well, these 600 km don’t have much fun, but it’s also fun to drive sparingly, normally I would have lost the tank in 400 km. To the vehicle condition: 185 winter bikes, climate off, light on, K&N mushroom on it. Let’s see how long I can tear myself together with this tank. Will probably not, especially the week the summer bikes come. So then bye. P.S. that were even at today’s fuel prices only 8 € to 10 0 km

Sports exhaust
hello people, I would like to buy a sports exhaust, but I don’t know which brand to buy. to choose from: JOM ->angular 2x80x90-> 187,63€ INXX ->angular 2x80x90-> 220,88€ Bosima -> about 2×75 -> 189€ so the execution is already more or less certain. what is interesting to me, however, is whether I need any adapters, so that the sports exhaust doesn’t shake or give any other noise of itself. hope you could advise me a little bit. mfg
