  • Policy discussion ๐Ÿ™‚ v6 or v8

in order to get a bit of life in the forum again, here a proper discussion round why did you decide for a v6 and not for a v8 (which of course also reversed why v8 and net v6) were my reasons: 1. ami = must have v8, out of principle 2. the nevertheless enormous difference in performance 3. in insurance/tax not much expensive (bissel already, logically) 4. sprit consumption should not be extremely much more (were unfortunately convinced by the opposite ) 5. the sound, v8 is u 6th stroke is by nothing to replace only by even more stroke 7. wanted a real sports car (with the time I found that the camaro despite complete tuning is none, but a heavy cruiser that has enormous power, but was not built for German roads)

  • Brake problems 911 Carrera 3.2

I have problems with the brake of my Carrera 3.2 (Bj. 1989). If you brake more strongly and approach the blocking limit, the right front wheel always blocks first. At full pressure on the brake pedal block then all wheels. On the brake test bench of the workshop were the brake values in the standard range. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of my braking problem? Thank you for your help.

  • Porsche 911 / 997 long distance

Hello , Who has experiences or has ever driven a long distance (about 1000 km ) ? How comfortable are the front seats and the “emergency seats” back (with 2 kids ; ages 3 and 5 ) ? Is this rather a torture ? Have always read up to now that rear is only suitable up to 1.50 m height .

  • Battery recommendation

Servus all together, now it’s starting to start. It’s funny how the longing is again and again. I also need a tip, because with the search I didn’t get far: Well, it seems to me that my 15/08 battery (2008) broke down; although it was on weekends on the maintenance device, it didn’t work. I’ll install a new one. Now I have to gugg; in it is an 80AH with 380A from Moll (default delivery i think) – on the free market you can put 74AH with 680 A or 77AH with 780A buy – they are about half cheaper than in the PZ – but also something like that ๐Ÿ˜‰ Do you have a suggestion? There are people who absolutely want to talk to me the original Porsche battery in the conscience. Many greetings and then I wish you dry roads Juxee

  • R 1100 RS brake caliper rear loses brake fluid

Hello BMW municipality, when dismantling the rear brake caliper suddenly dripped brake fluid out of the caliper. During dismantling I was careful to go and did nothing with force. So far the system was absolutely tight. Unfortunately, I could not find out where this liquid leaked. Has anyone had this problem before? Is there anything to repair or is it useful to install a new caliper right away? LHzG Gerd

  • R1200 / Which engine oil do you drive?

Hello everybody, I’d like to know which oil you use in your R1200. I know that BMW Castrol recommends 20W 50. But you don’t get that everywhere, and that’s why my R1200 often ends up with 10W 40. But now there’s a complete oil change and that’s why I want to do it right. What’s good now? Fully synthetic or semi-synthetic or even mineral? A tip would be great. it would be interesting to learn from a few globetrotters what you are using, if any of you are. In some countries you have to take what is available. Thanks PS: I have already used the search function. Couldn’t find the right topic under “oil” now.

  • Purchase of scooters

Hello guys, I am interested in a scooter 50 ccm, 45 km/h. But I don’t have a plan of which manufacturer yet. It should be a “four-stroke model” already. More than 20 years ago I had already been able to gain experience with “two-stroke oil pantch” and its consequences (Vespa Bravo, Mofa). The scooter should be approved for two large people and be reliable, economical, cost-effective to perform its service. Maintenance should be carried out by a specialist workshop and therefore the e Spare parts prices and maintenance intervals are in a smart frame. Since there is probably no more Zรผndapp, Puch and Hercules machines, I have a rather difficult choice now. Too bad. Recently I see many Rex scooters, which are probably quite cheap. What about the quality of the Rex scooters? What experiences do you have with these and other manufacturers? First of all thank you and greeting Stefan
