  • Navi + motorcycle consulting

My father-in-law is an enthusiastic biker and has been thinking about getting a navigator for the motorcycle for some time now. Since it’s soon Christmas, we thought that this would be a nice gift. My wife and I are not bikers. So we don’t know what we have to pay attention to when buying. The following questions have already occurred to me, but I don’t have any answers yet. Be: 1. How it looks with the mounting on the bike. He drives a K 1200 S or RS (I mean 2 years old). I can’t tell exactly. However, a tank backpack should still be mountable. 2. The power supply. Most Navis had thus 4 – 5 hours battery life. I find something scarce when you are on tour. Cigarette lighters as in the car probably don’t exist on the bike. 3. The weather protection. I had looked the days after Navis in Saturn. Advice can be forgotten there of course, This is especially the case here in Frankfurt. As far as I know, only Navis for the car had them, which probably have no weather protection. I only noticed that there are also Navis for the bike. However, I would call it a nice weather biker, so that the weather protection is not so important. 4. Which model is suitable? But you should also be able to use the device in the car. 5. The price. We had set ourselves a limit of 200 Euro. The selection was already quite Ok. Does anyone know the device? 6. The equipment. Only Navi, everything else would be unnecessary. Many have MP3 players or Bluetooth. Not needed. 7. The operation. Should be really very simple and intuitive. So that would be the points first. Would I be very happy about the answers and suggestions from you. Many greetings, Andreas

  • Youngtime Porsche Help

Hello, I’m new here this summer and do a 3 year old apprenticeship and would be 3 years for a Porsche Carrera 3.2, a Porsche 3.0 SC or a Turbo? (is probably a little more expensive ). So I come to about 21,000 euros. I get a service car from the company and therefore I want to save for a Porsche. But would the money be enough and can you use it on the track? or is such a youngtime Porsche not worth :/ How about the repairs? Does it still have spare parts? e? Does the engine hold 300’000 or more? And if the repair kits do not go into the five-digit Berreich I can still finance it. How loud are they? and have enough power so 200 hp at the Carrera and the SC sounds so little. So it would really be my first car and I would rather learn to drive than with an almost fully automatic car. Thanks in advance

  • Honda Hornet 900 BJ:2002 with 70000 km buy?

Hello, today I looked at a Honda Hornet 900 with the following basic data and was impressed by the outside. The test drive follows Monday. Honda Hornet 900 Price: 2500,00 EUR Kilometer level: 70000 km displacement: 900 cm3 Power: 80 kW Next HU: 04.2014 First registration: 4.2002 The dealer said that the previous owner had a car workshop and always made everything very exemplary himself, so there are no inspection certificates or similar. He said that the 2500 € fixed. The wear parts look like this: tires: front about 50% back about 80% chain: clean, doesn’t hang out and has no side play chain wheel: looks like licked, doesn’t look weary yet Brakes: discs: used in the back and front but not worth mentioning Brackets: front vll 2.5 mm back 4 mm What do you think the price is okay? I hope you can give me Help with the decision 😉 Greetings Andi

  • Optimal driving whites to keep the fuel consumption low

Hey people, drive now Since yesterday my F Sort (stretched) and drove yesterday in the nice weather 140km. At first it was of course important to me to get to know the vehicle first and I drove around in the city. Everything was slow and hard. Always switched at 3-5k rpm. I got fueled for 22 euros at (1.66€ fuel price) and the tank is still relatively full. So vll. something under the half is still inside. Now I wanted to ask how the most optimal driving white is to drive fuel. So the motorcycles are designed to be able to turn them ruig for ever, but then I think the consumption is also higher? And when should you switch in the city about when you should ride comfortably? Is there 3-5k revolutions in order? Or can the vll. cause any succession damage? Unfortunately I have no idea 🙄 Please consider that it is throttled on 48hp (no idea if that has anything to do with it). And another question. How is that when I switch so high that the speed pointer doesn’t move anymore? So you’re in front of her pretty slowly but in such a high gear that the speed pin always stays at 2k, which is even standard with my, which has somehow always 2k revolutions. Does then a higher fuel consumption come about again? And it always seems to me rather unhealthy because the motorcycle then sometimes also starts to stutter a little bit when you are too slow (otherwise it seems to me that the bike sometimes starts to stutter a little bit when you are too slow) I ask because it happened to me a few times while trying out all the gears and playing with the gas etc.. That I was just too slow, my gear too high, and the speed needle didn’t move a bit or so on 2k revolutions.

  • Iveco Stralis Shakes and shakes

Hello together, maybe one can help me here. My Stralis starts to shake at from 65 kmh. Steering wheel also shakes quite easily. Wheels have been changed already three times now even new aluminiums with Michelins came on the VA. HA I already have the second set on it. At the VA the brake discs were already turned off and new axle legs came in. But also did not bring anything. I noticed, after I smeared the axles times. that he then rec I started again. Slowly I don’t know any more and the workshop slowly costs expensive money. From last week then it noticed that Achsschenkelspiel was too big.Had it then sent out as well and made two new friction discs in, everything was smeared again.driving behaviour was then different and ran at first also quite calmly, but then it started shaking again at some point.

  • MAN 14.224 LAC 2001 Onboard socket dead.

Tach together, with our MAN the boron socket, i.e. the cigarette lighter, has no power any more. I think it’s an L2000. Year 2001, so for a truck almost an oldtimer With the newer MANs is probably a voltage converter installed, which locks at short circuit. There it helps to pull the fuse, wait, and plug in again. Or the fuse is just through. Problem is, in the board manual stands, that there are many great fuse boxes, and that the occupancy on the lid is located. Nice. But where to find the boxes, nothing. In addition, it is a fire brigade vehicle. So up to the top stuffed with fixtures. Who can tell me where to find the appropriate fuses? Greeting Ben

  • old r6 performance?

Hey, I’m thinking about adding the old r6 from 99 or 2000.But I’ve seen that the tacho goes up to 18 k turns! Does it really come from 10000 turns power? because that’s not a argument to buy.Or is that different with the old models?

  • Engine damage?

Servus, have a small problem with my yzf 750 r 4HN bj.93 50,000 km! To the problem: I was refueling(super), wanted to go home comfortably again, lay nicely in a left turn(8km after refueling), then a funny noise occurred to me. At the first moment I thought my footrest grinded. I pulled up the gas, there was no performance!!! I set up the motorcycle and the raking did not disappear. I immediately issued the engine. Helmet Abgesetz gloves from engine again g It sounded like a murmur in the cylinder would clatter… ADAC called, motorcycle off to home. Valve lid unscrewed and camshaft looked at- No unscrewed, everything normal! Spark plugs unscrewed- at the first cylinder the annode is broken!!! With a magnet I got inside the cylinder and got some crumbs out, together with a bit of oil-petrol-metal chip… Then also immediately measured compression: 1. Zyl.: 9,5 Bar 2. Zyl. 10 Bar 3 .+4. Zyl. also 10 bar! I also looked at oil, looked still very good, no metal crumbs or similar! Coupling I had already opened, looks good! Everything was assembled again, and it still claked, performance almost zero! Runs also on all cylinders!! What could it be? I don’t want to immediately disassemble the complete motor!!! Oil was always enough!!! (20W40) I would be very happy about the cannings!!! Happy Christmas and a good Rutsc h TomTom
