  • 911 SC – should I, or shouldn’t I?

Dear forum, I could have a “Sport Classic” – I just can’t decide and therefore look for further arguments in this way. The heart says yes and the mind says no. And I already know the answer of my wife, so I won’t ask her at all. I realize that nobody can take this decision from me, but a few Pro & Contras would be quite helpful. Please help me before I have nibbled off all the fingernails. mfg, Tom

  • Can you turn off the kickdown switch in manual mode?

The following refers to VDU from VW — but also to PDK from Porsche. I read a report about a Porsche with PDK, and the journalist was enthusiastic about the kick-down switch. When I heard about the VDU gearbox for the first time, I was thrilled. Finally no more switching errors — no more balancing. Then I tested a Golf GTI (in manual mode of course): In the first gear full throttle — turn up at 3000..4000 — which was ignored by the VDU — embarrassing — he went up to over 6000 — brand-new car. Then I later (in the 3rd or 4th gear) gave it full throttle again, as I wanted it from manual gearbox and he turned it down — and I shouted out: “He turns on self-sufficient!” I was told that this is not a fault but a feature — called kickdown switch. Naturally, this feature spoils one the whole driving fun. Is there any way to turn off the kickdown switch — of course only in the m anual mode?

  • Toyota or Isuzu?

Hello, I have a car change in the spring. And since I want to do a lot at the house by the way, my car has to go and a load animal in the house. Now I have 2 in the narrow selection. Either Isuzu D-Max or Toyota Hillux. Both as new cars and both cost with us almost the same amount in the basic equipment. What advantages or disadvantages are you familiar with the 2 models? Which would you take? Or do you recommend a completely different one? Which extra equipments are a must? I have never dealt with Pick Up before. However, it seems to me that my project is the most sensible vehicle choice. I also live in a mountainous area with bad roads and lots of snow in the winter months. I hope for some good tips

  • I’m still getting the creep

Hello, after cleaning the carburetor on my El 250 B everything was dry and I then drove so 100 km on Saturday. At a traffic light stood a nice motorcyclist, who gave me a sign. ( With the index finger to the side stand). I, when it was green, looked at the road edge and down and what was a huge gas pool. Why for heaven’s sake already run out of fuel again. Had the carburetor disassembled, cleaned and tested and there nothing more ran out. ( As I had cleaned the carburettor I tested with blowing into the spray pipe whether the shimmering needles are dense (in doing so I moved the shimmer up and down) and they were. I also changed the O-rings of the drain screws. What else can that be?

  • Fear of driving?!

Hey guys, I finally got my 2002 zx7r today. I don’t know what that’s about, but somehow I’m afraid to drive the machine inside of me. I mean, I drove it. But there’s always the thought that I could exaggerate and what happens. It’s my first machine as I mentioned before. At the driving school 2 years ago I drove a 250er 34hp chopper! After that maybe 1-2 times bigger machines. Is the fear going away after a time? Or am I the only one?

  • Dohc

Surely everyone knows the label DOHC when you open the bonnet on your Honda. What I noticed shouldn’t be that of Honda because it’s just like that with Toyota and others. So Vtec it’s not that that’s for sure after all, the Corolla can’t have a Vtec. Is it the type of engine construction or camshafts?

  • Honda Hybride – a short overview

Hello together. I have already dealt with the same topic elsewhere, but I would like to present it here as well. As you may know, Honda is a hybrid pioneer alongside Toyota and the second largest manufacturer of hybrid vehicles. While the number of Honda hybrids is manageable in Europe, the selection in North America or Asia is much larger. I would like to introduce this here briefly, perhaps one or the other will also arouse an interest. ellt: 1.) Honda Jazz (Fit) Hybrid 2.) Honda Fit Hybrid II 3.) Honda Fit Shuttle Hybrid 4.) Honda Freed Hybrid 5.) Honda Freed Spike Hybrid 6.) Honda Vezel Hybrid 7.) Honda Vezel Hybrid 8.) Honda CR-Z 9.) Honda Civic Hybrid II 10.) Honda Civic Hybrid III 11.) Honda Accord Hybrid 12.) Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid 13.) Honda NSX Quotation: *In the beginning the different versions of VTEC (since 1988 in D) have been given different names, e.g. DOHC-VTEC, SOHC-VTEC or VTEC-E. The abbreviation i-VTEC tauc the first time in 2003 with the combination VTEC (toggle between different cam profiles) and VTC (toggle the inlet camshaft). Since then the name has remained unchanged, although it stands for different versions of the variable valve control. The ‘i’ means ‘intelligent’ by the way, but does not describe any technical specification

  • CRX ED9 speed limiter

N’Evening, does anyone know about chip tuning on Honda? A colleague of mine would like to kick out the speed limiter in his 1.6 liter (not V-Tec) CRX. We have a device to read / write in business, but nobody has a plan of Honda! Can anyone help? MfG AGE
