Volvo V70 D5 (185ps), Built 2007 Geartronic 6-speed Aisin TF-80-SC, 180 tKM Good evening together, my Volvo loses quite a lot of coolant. About 0.5 liters per hour when the engine is warm. No loss is apparent or much less when standing. No loss is apparent from above. Today the lower engine cover has been taken down. You can see that the coolant runs down the transmission and has to step out in the area of AGR or Turbo. Where exactly the liquid leaks can’t be detected without further notice. One should probably take air to the filter box, hoses to the vacuum pump or turbo heat protection. Questions: Is the turbo cooled by coolant? (To know if the liquid leak is possible in this area.) Are there typical flaws in this area that could be closed to the D5? (in order to order spare parts before starting the operation or simply prioritizing the search.) Greetings, Bond

Engine oil in the engine compartment?
Who knows? Which parts of the engine could get engine oil into the combustion process with a diesel engine and blow out “back”? It is a 163 hp diesel, after 310,000 km, from 2007 in a V70. Stays healthy.

Volvo V 70 (Bj. 2001) – Engine goes off when starting up
Dear Volvo – experts, last year I changed my V 70 I for a V 70 II (2.4, petrol, automatic) and I was very happy with it. Now I have already done twice: After starting the engine I start and after 5-10 sec. the engine goes off and all warning lights light up. Then the engine can be started again without any problems. Besides, my wife had the situation at the beginning of the year that the Swede went out during the ride. This happened when she was rolling on a red light. After that I had the car tested in a free workshop on heart and kidneys, but they didn’t find anything. They expressed the suspicion that it might be the petrol pump, but they also didn’t want to exchange it so easily. Maybe one of you has another idea? I’m curious! Greeting from the pirate! Carry or replace timing belts?
I am in possession of a 850 GLT BJ 92 200500km. (170 PS 20V). I bought the box more than 2 years ago for under 1000 francs from a friend. (friendship price). I and my wife have 4 old boxes and drive mercilessly what others disdain because it is no longer in. (Astra F Caravan, Omega A Caravan 2.4l, Fiat Croma and just the 850er). I got these cars almost for nothing. In Switzerland there is thanks to God the praiseworthy invention of the changeable signs, i.e. I can solve 2 vehicles on a number plate. I only send money and care to my oldtimers, (yes, I also have a sick type), the everyday crates just have to drive. Now for the 850er the vehicle test is flourishing, I think in comparison to the Swiss vehicle test is the German Tüf a Sunday trip. The experts are sometimes extremely hardy. If I expect to be without a long defect list, I will not have to think about the luxury of it.

Good-bye (V70 R is sold)
Even if some of them will stone me after this post “Unfriends” or even, I have to say that I sold my “old” R. After I had the piston rings changed, and the car was actually like new again, I had to separate, because unfortunately I can not split up to drive both cars. I sold the car for 2500EUR, which is a very good price for Ireland. The new owner, a Volvo Club Ireland member, bought the car after a long time back and forth now. Of course I remain faithful to the forum here, since I still have 2 Volvos at home!

Rescue cards for Volvo models…….850 + S/V 70I are not included… great !!
This Volvo service offer is good, but unfortunately not complete. It should be a crack and a must for a safety-oriented company such as VOLVO to display the rescue cards of all vehicles (which were equipped with airbag). *kopshakel* Greeting Sven EDIT: More rescue cards from other manufacturers can also be found here via the ADAC.

Headlamps/incandescent lamps
Hi guys! I don’t know if my question has been discussed here before but I haven’t found it yet. I would like to renew my light bulbs on my V50 and exchange them for Philips NightGuide pears. I don’t know if I need H7S or H7R pears for this. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks V50 Jäger

C70 front fog lamps keep pulling moisture
Hello guys, I’m very happy with my car. However, one thing is extremely annoying the meanwhile seventh set of fog lights also draws moisture again. It can’t be an isolated case for me that my fog lights permanently pull moisture. Always the glasses from inside are fogged. The things have been changed now proven to be seven times, I had the old ones show myself every time. Please check your 08er 09er C70 or report to me please.

Tuning Volvo V50/S40 what are you up to with your moose!
The days are longer again, it gets cuddly warm again and some immediately think of “slips” to move and look like the moose with aluminium ́s looks! Do you already have summer lips on it? What else do you have in mind about your moose?

Omega B – VFL – V6 – Questions about my winter project
Hi people, since the Omega goes into hibernation at the end of the month and I would like to have been swarmed for a long time by a few rebuilds and I will put them into action. First I dedicate myself to the rust removal and that is to say the whole cart is disassembled and examined for rust. Then it is completely repainted Question about rust: I don’t necessarily want to take out the disc how high is the probability that it rusts under the rubber? So as another project the 2.5l flies out and a 3.0 gets a new place and the question: Even if each seller assures you that the engine does not lose oil or otherwise has no quirks, I would like to know from you what should be directly renewed on a foreign engine without testing it in the built-in condition? Does the 3.0l need a different transmission or Diff? (The 3.0l is delivered completely with all attachments except transmission) And as another addition comes a threaded drive with new tires and rims on it, but to the chassis I have a question: Which parts would you renew during the chassis replacement? Trackbars ? Crossbars etc.
