  • The new black

Hello Leut ́z, first of all thank you for the many tips and help with my new start in the Volvo fan club. To complete the quite diversified “washing machine thread” with all his doofen beginner problems, here it is – only a few things are missing: – apparently very well maintained. Spurred like a kitten, glove test negative (blast nix). – Timing belts, brakes, exhaust, front axle, battery, windshield, inspection quite new. – By me: Total ignition rattle, Lufi and Th ermostat, solar plexius, plastic wood. – Missing yet: AHK and beeps (existing, but I can’t get off neither bumper nor AHK – must workshop! Sometime aluminium rims, tacho gear, – and then only technical maintenance. Everything works (disk lifters, locks…) But one or the other surely still comes. – 20 years old, about 290,000 km. I have to turn out first. And a few stone strokes ahead, then polish – when it gets warmer. And from April also my Miata is allowed again. 25 years a lt, 170,000 km on the clock, and nothing to craft! It’s just running – and it’s fun! And here are some more photos:

  • Top or flop?

moin moin what do you think about this V70?That’s not sure yet because of the 410tkm….my two volvos (740 and 850 T5) had only 320tkm down. Tüv still has the car until 09/2016, so that almost like new TÜV What would new brakes cost? I calculate with so about 500€ Thanks for your estimates Dankö Barko

  • Load capacity Geartronic

Does anyone know the technical data of the Geartronic quite by chance? I mean to have read something of 440Nm as maximum, but I get old and find no more background of the whole thing is that I would want to miss my V70 a BSR stage and I can’t lose sight of the Nm at the Geartronic. So let the info flow

  • Break lance

Hello dear communication reader, a short time ago I got into the embarrassment of having to look for a new car for small money. There is a Volvo S60 2.4 from first hand with 150,000km in my arms. Checkbook maintained with documented history from the first kilometer. The workmanship, feel and look are first class. Compared to 5 Series BMW E39 or Mercedes E-Class W210, which are usually very rusty, the Volvo 1A is there. I can only advise any car seeker to consider Volvo. The devil is, of course, in the details. I don’t know what else to expect. FAZIT: I love the S60 🙂 I’m always open to comments or criticism. Greetings to the community

  • Unsuspecting with gearbox

Hello, now I’m completely helpless with my AR35. Have already created several topics about it but now???? Try to describe it briefly again. MV6 Built. 12.94 240000km. Transmission according to previous owner at 160000km overhauled (obs true?????) Friday evening completely normal driven.Saturday morning when starting only gear emergency run. At FOH error reading, solenoid valve 2-3 resulted open. Errors can then delete everything against normal. 2 days approximately later the same – emergency run and manually Switchable. Then over driving, the gearbox only switches in 1 and 2 gears and if you then over 4000 revolutions only comes in 1 gears. If you then restart again 1 and 2 gears up to 4000 turns. and then only 1 gears. Then in workshop (not FOH but one that also makes gears.) Let it read out there – again solenoid valve 2-3 open. The master said that it was funny but sure that it was on the solenoid valve. Oil should be filled up. Then the solenoid valve was made and new oil but no improvement. Then I asked if you also controlled the plugs on the gearbox and in the engine compartment-clear we said. Then new gearbox got which should be installed. Now I have today in the engine compartment the Blue Bajonet plug more often and put and at once it switched into the third but not in the fourth.Short time later it is then at approx. 5000 revolutions again in the first can it be that it is something electronic or that it was just a coincidence????

  • rusted anchor plate from the handbrake

Hello, have the small problem that the holes on the anchor plate of the parking brake have torn out the holes and rusted through (where the spring bolts are plugged through). Now I have seen the following parts at Ebay, which are for nen Vectra but actually should fit here as well. It is about these plates where the spring bolts are plugged in. If I put these behind the anchor plate and then the spring bolts should still function and hold. so that someone already experiences or is there something like that directly for the Omega??? Here’s the link to the parts. My plates top left!http://cgi.ebay.de/…823QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAuto parts_ Zubeh%C3%B6r?…

  • New attempt Grilling at the Schrauberhalle East 07.07.2018

Hello dear Volvisti, I’ve been a little rare lately, but work is going on. And one or the other here knows me (sometimes quite well). On Saturday 07.07.2018 I organize a barbecue at my screwdriver hall. The core of the thing should not be the screws, but the cozy gathering. Grill and coal I provide. Also a box of water and beer. Coffee is also at the start. Shopping possibilities are in the place (you don’t need everything with sc A small exit is also planned. I look forward to numerous guests. Ps: Accommodation is available in the village, sleeping at the hall (in the car) is also possible. LG Jürgen

  • Volvo meet in the middle of Germany ?

Moin moin, I have read more often that some would like to meet in the middle of Germany. Here in the beautiful Einbeck we are about 70km from the geographical center of Germany. I would like to know if you would like to hold a day meeting in Northeim, Göttingen, Hann. Münden or the like. I myself unfortunately have no “hall” or a large “parking place” to offer, but you could still be interested in a location Finding out. Greetings

  • Change hand brake linings

Hello, I have a problem with my Omega B (BJ 95). I wanted to change the hand brake pads, but I didn’t get the brake disc down. Under this whole bell there are the brake jaws for the hand brake. So I dismantled the wheel and removed the Bremnssattel. After that I screwed out the one screw, which is sunk in the front. now I don’t know if I have to solve any more screws? I used a rubber hammer on the left and right. I wanted to ask before I put on a puller and pull it off with force. Because even with a puller, there is only a very small hole in the middle, where I can possibly squeeze. Above it is only so rusty that it looks like it’s a part of it? Danle for your answers. Greetings Andy….
