  • S60 Switching joystick Vibrations

My S 60 , 2.4 , 170 hp is now one year old. 12 TDM kilometers. From the beginning, the vibrations of the shift stick at speeds from 3200 rpm in 5th gear have annoyed me.Now during a longer journey, the “shapper” got on my nerves again. Only if I hold the stick a little with my hand the noise is gone. Even when the gears are fully accelerated and turned out, you can only avoid the noise if you hold the shift lever slightly tight. I wanted to get ahead of the upcoming Annual inspection only once in the forum ask if someone has similar problems ? In the workshop everything is usually “small talking”. The euphoria for my first Volvo is strongly damped with me , since still other things like constant noises of the interior covering (depending on the outside temp.) and dashboard , hanging needle in the rev meter u.s.w the driving fun nevertheless very clouding . • Improvements in Volvo

Hello together, I recently bought a V70 MJ 03 and have been driving through traffic very relaxed. In short, I’m thrilled. But I’ve found a few things where I thought that would be great if it were still there. And now I thought I’d just post my wishes in here, and I’m curious about your reactions. So, I’ll start out. – I’d like to have a loading area in my Volvo that would be about 2,10 m long! Then I’d love to have a loading area in my Volvo! I don’t always have to drive around with an open tailgate because of 20 or 30 cm. – I also find it pleasant to fold the passenger seat so that there would be a level. – I would like a larger hand-shoe compartment. – I find the bottom flaps practical. But they would have to be a little deeper. Then I could store a folding basket and my flat tool case in it. What would you like? Don’t just have to go around the V70. Greeting Wolfgang

  • Electronic throttle valve defective

Hello Volvo Forum, do you have an info, if a failure of the electronic throttle flap is usual with a 3 year old C70 convertible with 70000Km ? my dealer said after description of the error: when driving to accept fluctuations in the gas, once the ETS warning lamp also went to the electronic throttle flap should be exchanged.

  • Combi as a load eel πŸ˜‰ Who has packed their V/XC really “full”?

Hi together, it wasn’t exactly planned like this (I had to take something with me in addition), but the XC70 had to be taken the week again correctly πŸ˜‰ In the picture my return trip from Hamburg, respectively the loaded truck donkey just before the descent (there was a full tank to it ;-). Almost 500km of easy track – the level dampers were sorry. To the picture: I had the Stollen tires on it, because my new tyres are just pulled on at the dealer – normally I drive such Routes NOT with SOLCHEN tires πŸ˜‰ By the way: I drove with the fully charged XC to my previous fuel record. Since I had driven to 98% with cruise control at 120Km/h, I had an average consumption (extra reset before the ride) of 7.1 l/100km πŸ™‚ Who has had his station wagon so full (and has a photo of it)? Nano Nano! Torsten – the XC fan (and has already had his 850s fuller. Somewhere in the MT there is also a picture of the box πŸ˜‰

  • Motor control communication disturbed!! What now? V70 2.4 T

Hello, my V70 2.4 T runs at outside temperatures below 15 degrees a bit rough and unround when accelerating. Especially in the 3rd+4th gear. After LMM, intake air temperature sensor, spark plugs, TVC etc. the fault is still there. The car accelerates a bit thrusty and partly tough and slightly rough at 2500-3000 revolutions. Especially after today’s exchange of the temperature sensor, the thrust-like acceleration was added. As if the turbo switched late in the 3. +4. Especially gear. Does the car have to learn the new temperature feeler first or something like that? Is that something??? And: It was in the error memory today: “motor control unit– communication disturbed-!” The error can not be deleted. I got a new software for the engine control on it with Volvo 2 months ago. Can that be because?? Is there something no more?? I had the car read out today in the free car-fit workshop, where I also bought the car. The update 2 months ago h at but made at Volvo. Should I contact the Volvo workshop again and ask if it has anything to do with the update?? Can a faulty engine control unit or a failed update lead to the defects and problems??? Can an update paralyze the communication? What does an engine control unit cost?? Many many questions…I know….don’t complain! I’m in despair! I don’t want to go to a workshop anymore. And don’t have any more money! Greeting! And THANK YOU !!!! PS: I’ve got grad Calling the Volvo workshop: Could of course not have anything to do with the update. And: If the communication was disturbed, I could not have read out the error memory. But the error memory worked. Have also deleted an error etc.! Well: Funny that I mean that the jerking only occurs at cooler outside temp.!! I think it will remain a mystery!

  • Tacho deviation according to PDA-Navi in V70 ?

Hello guys, maybe the one or the other has already made this observation: Tacho-Display Tempo 100 (set with cruise control) View of the PDA-Navi (MN5) : Display at 92 to 93 km/h Higher speed brings even higher deviation. (at 120 are approx. 110 etc.) Who is right ? I would vote for the Navi, if the thing can navigate exactly to 5-10 m, the speed calculation would have to be quite accurate, or am I wrong. Oh, measurement with standard tire en (205er on 16″ rim, that’s not what it should be). Tachos “may” – I think to remember – 4% differ. O.g. values are already strongly above… Would also be important in contact with the green-dressed and their shooting systems πŸ˜‰ Who has similar experiences ? LG Walter

  • Summer tires in winter

Hello, have just heard about my XC90 order that the car will be delivered in winter on summer tyres without M+S identification. Do I expect too much that Volvo will not deliver cars that cost me – hardly ever leave the dealer’s yard – 20€ or 40€+1 point? Or have I missed the option somewhere “deliver with winter tyres”? Is that so with all manufacturers? Greeting Ralf

  • XC90 problem automatic air conditioning

Hello you! Outside it gets colder again and there comes again, the almost forgotten problem: cold feet, draughts, wrong working climate automatics With me will then give again a new workshop round. Many have reported that on longer rides the climat. suddenly switches to cold or wildly regulates. Maybe it is (as already mentioned) the following cause: the enormous heating up of the center console fittings is well known. Maybe it is really because the temperature sensor for the room temperature is also in this panel!! It sucks the air somehow via a small fan (at least the workshop master says) but is firmly connected to the surrounding heated parts. That would explain everything or? Who knows why the temperature sensor is in the middle – where it is supposed to be a two-zone automatic. The friendly spoke of two sensors, but where the second one sits He couldn’t tell me. Furthermore, the fan noises are enormous loud, but only in heating operation – it sounds like,(especially with the middle outflows in the dashboard) as if the fan is running against almost closed flaps – that would also explain the small amount of warm air from this area. What have you researched so far??

  • Just cold air, heating broken?

Hello dear community, I drive a 2004 V8. Since the last temperature fall I realize that the heating power of my thickness is no longer the one I am used to. When the automatic is switched on it no longer heats at all and with manuel only very weak at the lowest fan level. If I turn the fan upwards only cold air comes up. It also does not change if I correct the temperature upwards. Does any of you have an idea of what this can be? Thanks for the Help Krocko

  • Presentation: Sven from Bonn πŸ™‚

Hello together πŸ˜‰ I am Sven, I am from Bonn and I became 18 in June πŸ˜‰ I held my driver’s license in my hands on August 16 (I think the date I will never forget, so proud, so glad, I think you know what I’m talking about ) and now I am proud owner of a Ford Escort MK7 (I think) BJ: 98, 1.4l gasoline with 75 HP πŸ˜‰ Meets well since my uncle has been a car master at Ford for 35 years πŸ˜‰ I ordered a new radio πŸ˜‰ Nothing against Ford but the Orginale is not so current in the 21st century anymore =). I bought the Sony CDX-GT35U. Maybe not the best but for me as a cook apprentice that is enough for his 70 Euro πŸ˜‰ Today I am off from a work colleague cheaply a JBL amplifier (P80 2) and a 27 or 28 Basstube. I will now install it with a colleague on Monday. The workshop wants to have indeed 350 Euro for the installation!?! Still planned are other loudspeakers in the front doors, since the originals like the radio don’t meet my requirements πŸ˜‰ Now comes my first question: I know that the 13s LS in the Escort are basically made of 2 LS. A big one and a small one. Is there apertures (like the radio) that fit the 16s LS? Or what else do I have to buy? And which brand is what and is cheap? Had so thought of about about 50 euros for the 2 loudspeakers. My demands are not super high because I am apprentice and budget moderate is quite limited. Anson I still drive a Piaggio NRG Power DT ́07 50 ccm. Otherwise I still do model sport. So remote controlled car models with nitromethaneol internal combustion engines. So much for me =) Greetings, Sven
