  • Small performance

Moin, wanted to introduce me briefly – I am the Manni year 1962 and come from near Kassel (Habittswald). I learned car mechanics ages ago, but never worked in the profession, but always used the knowledge only for the hobby screwdriver. Cars I had certainly already over 40… After a bad experience with a Volvo V70 II D5, I have now bought a Toyota Avensis for the everyday stuff. Since today I still own a wine-red 850 T5 automatic from 96. The moose has 307000 km down is still quite well preserved. The next time I will pick it up a bit. Will surely have some questions in the future. Until then and greetings from Northern Hesse, Manni

  • Advice

Hi, was on the road again, I just returned, wanted to go with my father last Friday for a short trip, pussed cake, I had some temperature problems in the last time, I assumed that it was to do with the LPG system and accordingly drove at the outside temp. of 35 °C max. 120-130 km/h. My problem is that the temp. display suddenly went into the red area, the cooling water hose at the front left (seen in driving direction) off and the cooler a n crack had, oil was exactly on max. marking, cooling water was also enough, all fans ran i.o. cooling water hose mounted, air conditioning, of course. So I ran right on the highway water in (have always 5 ltr. water and 1 ltr. oil in the weather), engine can not start. Since I have an automatic 3.0 MV6 and the MKL was on after the action, I believe that the gear cooler got what, do not hope that the piston seals or something else got it. I don’t really like the new crates, I’ve already been able to do a lot myself on my omme and learned a lot about it. Repair incl. spare parts approx. 500 Euro, I now have 230.000 km on the clock. What does it mean? I have to say that I have not tried to start today. I have an idea, should I keep the crate away?

  • 2.5 DTI Exchange of injectors

Hy together Does anyone know if you have to enroll an input into the ECU by diagnosis in the injector replacement? Have I asked myself this question because with Mercedes you have to activate the injectors with the diagnosis afterwards (simply said) Thank you

  • Brakes, the Xte

Moin, picked up my Volvo 850 T5r yesterday ( Finally I have a…. ) I read and read, don’t get quite smart: brake discs 280mm – others say the R have 305mm. Does this apply only to the 850R or also to the T5R Should it mean that I have 280mm in it – which normal tenure, for students affordable brake combination has proven itself by now ?

  • G500 – Investment?

Good morning, As most people know, the prices for used W463a G’s go through the ceiling. In particular, the g500 is traded far above list price. On AutoScout24 there are only 121 models for sale. Models with a few km and good equipment cost well over 200,000€. Now even customers start selling their orders for 60.70k. Information also condenses that the 500s from 2024 will not have a V8, but only an R6. I ask because I actually do, because I am I planned to hand over my slot (free of charge) to an interested party. However, due to the price development I think about buying the car and selling it myself. What do you think? Will prices break down or go even higher?

  • CarImageAll wheel: XC90 V8 in test against Q7, Commander and Cadillac

In AutoBildAllesAllesAllesrad were tested 7-seater V8 SUV. Result: 1. Audi Q7, 2. Jeep Commander (Hemi V8), 3. XC90, 4. Cadillac SRX The XC90 only lands behind the Jeep because of the terrain classification (clearly, no one arrives against the Commander, even the Q7 not) and because the Jeep is the most cost-effective V8 on the market. Overall, I think the test results are ok, but the Audi seems to me a little “overvalued”, its sheer size (i.e. outer length, inside it is comparatively scarce) The testers probably also impressed. Otherwise the usual praise and rebuke, especially the question about the V8-sense (in view of rising fuel prices). rolo

  • Engine at 85-90 degrees from

Hello together, had already asked a few days ago in the round, but unfortunately no answer received. I then looked for it in the archive and then I thought I had found it. Unfortunately it is not like that. I have no idea now. Motor can be started normally and runs even if it is cold. If it reaches a temperature of about 85-90 degrees it suddenly goes out and cannot be started.( Starter runs, but no ignition takes place) If the engine then starts again is cooled, it starts again until it is warm again. Ignition modules are new,Zündkerzen are new. Who knows a advice? Greeting Christian

  • Illumination V60 [D3S-Xenon]

Hallå. After the exchange of the Xenon burners it seems to me that the light image has changed. On the one hand, I think that the light spreads further to the left and right, on the other hand, I see a yellowish “rand” at the end of the rather whitish light cone – difficult to capture with the camera. In my opinion, you can only install the burners in one position and snap in. Is this all normal or has a mistake crept in? How does your light image look like?
