  • Search motorcycle with budget up to ~150€

Hello dear people 🙂 I have the A2 driver’s license and am therefore looking for a motorcycle for me. Unfortunately I am sad beginner in the technical topic and therefore can not really limit my search from a technical point of view (except by the legal A2 requirements). However, from an optical point of view I can say the following: – Kymco K-Pipe I like suuper from the appearance (but with about 10 HP not what I imagine) – Furthermore, the Kymco looks a bit tiny (or am I wrong? have never seen the part in real) – I totally like it when the headlight is really big and round – I am relatively “weak” and with 1.75m relatively small, so the bike should not be too high and too heavy There is a nice combination of Kymco K-Pipe – style and a nice front headlight with the budget up to around 1500€ (used is also completely ok for me) Hope that someone can call me a few brands or models here Thank you 🙂 Greetings

  • Quad or scooter?

Hello, I have a quite long way to work and have about 1500 km per month pure work path. Now we are thinking that I do not drive (or not always) with the car anymore, but with a scooter or a quad and are uncertain which vehicle it should become – detached from the purchase costs sometimes completely. I have some concerns that I will suck myself with the scooter on wet road too fast and I will also be seen worse (must get out of the house and drive at 5 am) My husband has concerns that it could disassemble me with the quad in the curve. However, I think that the quad offers more stability even on wet roadway *?* Since I had to park my driver’s license in Flensburg, I only have the “small” old class 3, so only scooters up to 50 ccm are allowed to drive. Which also affects the speed. With the scooter I would be on the road for a short hour, with the quad clearly (?) faster. What did we not consider or what did we say for the one, for the other or against? Many greetings and many thanks Klara

  • Engines better of 9000 compared to 93,95

Hello I once again had a conversation about my 900II which is increased performance and at the same time over 93 he and 95 he Saab engines the performance can be increased which also make fun after all the 9000 cs or aero if one invests in these cars 2.3 turbo and gives wings these cars are unpredictablely inconspicuous and damn fast. The engines of the 9000 ern 2.3T should also withstand a lot more without forging piston etc. and in the maintenance are the also cheaper !? lich the strongest 9000 in Germany drives with 470 Ps. can that be possible ? is true that these engines of the 9000 he really are so good ?? (Ps. maptun I’ve already looked at) thank you for every answer.

  • 9-5 with 3.0 TID Mispurchase ??

Now I finally bought my dream car and after a long consideration instead of a 2.3 turbo decided for the 3.0 TiD, because I drive about 6000 km a month and often travel with caravan or trailer. My car is 1st hand EZ.04.01 and had run 63,000Km when buying 6 weeks ago (with checkbook). He always got 5W40 oil. Now I used 72,000Km down and with speedy driving approx.0.5l oil / consumption approx. 7.7-8.3L per 100Km. what I find appropriate. I’m very satisfied with the engine’s running performance (Vorgangerfahrzeug Opel Astra 2.2 DTI – hat stark Ölverbrauch) Now I’ve read here that almost every one of these engines is flying apart and have suddenly got stomach cramps and sweat outs. Did I buy factory scrap for expensive money now, or what can I do to keep having fun with the 9-5. According to my Saab dealer, the several with 1st engine and over 200TKm in the clientele !? Lug and Trug !? drive the engine always carefully warm and cold. I am grateful for all the advice.

  • Is the use of bushings outdated?

Saab-community, recently I met a BMW engineer and as a 3.0 TID driver of course immediately reported about the sinking running bushings of this engine. He did not seem to be particularly impressed by this. He thought running bushings had to be maintained in order to achieve a high mileage. This would not be done at all today and at all BMW dispenses with running bushings, but uses engines constructed differently like other manufacturers. Now my question: Are engines m it Laufbuchsen no longer up-to-date? Thank you voarb! Greetings from Munich, especially to the fellow sufferers

  • Long Life – Coolant – who is changing anyway?

Hello @ all My car is not always clean – with certain things I am absolutely sensitive – e.g. with the liquids and filters. Now Saab has introduced from MJ 2001 the “long life” cooling liquid (orange), which is to keep a “vehicle life” and no longer needs to be changed. I change my cooling liquid (BASF G48) every two years in May and if I look at my collection tank so, then I know “what good” to have done for my car. Freshly swirled up is she “grey” and this is also perfectly normal. My question to you … Who is changing anyway – who adheres to Saab’s promises and who hasn’t thought about it yet?

  • 3.0 TiD motors

I’m about to buy a Saab 9.5 3.0 TiD from 2001. After reading the articles, however, I got a lot of thinking. The car has already run 120000 km. Did I understand correctly that the described problem with bushings applies to all engines of this size? Greeting Malte

  • Missing entries

Moin, I bought a used car from Private a few months ago. I was stopped last Saturday by the police, who accused me that neither the wheel/tire combination nor the distance discs were registered. I then said that I had all the papers at home and that everything was fine. I then got a defect card (on which only the missing registration of the tires is noted) with the hint to return the papers within 7 days. Assuming that I have a few days and that everything is correct, I didn’t take care of it for 4 days, even on a professional basis. At some point I looked for my papers together, read about part reports $19.3 and Googled after that, and only then did I realize that with this part report you have to go to Tüv and you have to let it take off there and finally that’s the paper that I should have shown in the control. At this point in time I didn’t… never had anything to do with it. Stupid situation… basically I was on the road with no type-approval and I told the police officers unknowing(!)what about the horse. How would you behave now in order to get out of there with as little consequences as possible? I have now made an appointment with the Tüv to have everything registered, but unfortunately the next free date is only next Friday 8 o’clock. Furthermore, I will be still today/morrow, ever after the weather conditions, the distance discs and unregistered wheel/tire combo are dismantled and the series tyres (which I have as winter tires) are cultivated. After that I will drive to the local police station and explain the situation to them, simply that I was ignorant, but of course I am willing to put everything in order as soon as possible. Next Friday then let the tuv and everything enter and then present it at the pole line. Also simply as a sign that the installed parts no more egs are dangerous to traffic/goods. By the way, various extra items are registered in the vehicle certificate, but they are all not so much on the vehicle anymore. Therefore, it doesn’t help much. Any other ideas? Does anyone have any idea what is coming to me in terms of punishment? And yes, for this action I can step in my ass.. even if I have learned something for the future.

  • HUK-Coburg Protection letter and/or ADAC membership

Hello, I have completed my car insurance at the HUK-Coburg in February, including a protection letter for 6 euros per year. Next month I go on holiday, 700km a route. Even if my car is in perfect condition, one wonders, of course, what services can be expected from the insurance in the event of a breakdown, there can always be some technical defect. I have got a booklet, in which all services are listed, but However, I would like to ask again, especially because it is sometimes rather opaque, which is now exactly covered. Is it worth it, in addition to the protection letter, to conclude an ADAC membership, because for example the one or other relevant service is not covered in the protection letter or can I save the membership fee? Are only 19 euros, but if the services are completely identical, you do not have to throw the money out of the window. The most important thing is what I can expect exactly if I can no longer drive half way due to a technical defect. Does the vehicle have to be towed to the place of residence or can I specify another place? I have a friendly car mechanic at my holiday destination, in which I want to park the car in case of an emergency. Wouldn’t it be nonsense if my car is towed to my home, although we are just on our way to the n holidays were, then everything falls into the water. I and my passenger should of course also somehow arrive at the holiday place. LG and thank you very much! 🙂

  • Noise nuisance

Hello, for a few weeks (?) a bald head with a corvette, gold chain, muscle shirt and corresponding upper arms has been working for me in the quiet residential street. Maybe he also comes from the night service. He arrives here every day around 05:30 in the morning and can not park at all. He has to get out twice and look in the back until he is in a parking space that is twice as long as his car. The Corvette makes enormous noise and when closing with the radio key hup The whole neighborhood is then awake. The driver only reacts with sneerful laughter. Is such an exhaust and the hooving allowed or what can be done about it? (We are not so the instant police holler, but…).
