  • SL R129 or SL R230

Hello SL – driver drives a 98 SL320 R129 and plays with the thought to switch to a SL500 R230 from 2003. I would like to know the pros and cons between these two very different “cars”, regardless of the performance of the engines.Of course there are already SL drivers who have changed and made their experiences with them.Question to those who have travelled both types over a long period of time: keep R129 or exchange with R230 ? Ciao

  • Defect over defect…

Moin dear people, I have been reading with you for a long time, but I only recently registered to myself: I also did a CRV this year, the RE III with the 2.2 l diesel engine. So far so good, only unfortunately I have really only problems with this car and stress with the workshop. To my most acute problem I would like to hear your opinion / know. I noticed that the car or the engine rattles, if you take the gas away, comes so about at just over 1000 rpm. Wa r with my nice dealer and he told me that this is the tensioning roll of the belt, but what is normal wear and therefore not covered by the warranty…but the car has only 60,000km down…is that normal???? I remember even more or less that there is 1 year warranty and that roughly it can be assumed that everything that occurs in the first half year was already broken when the car was bought. Corrects me if I am wrong. More nice info about my dealer: That was the 5th visit to him because of defective at my car. I hope you can help me somehow. Greetings

  • Overpriced?? (V70)

Hello, I have now turned 18 and I was able to convince my father to buy me a car. It should be a Volvo V70 (also the older version up to 2000 or the successor). The price range is 6000 to a maximum of 9000 Euro. Now we have looked at mobile.de and found this car in our vicinity: http://suchen.mobile.de/…/showDetails.html?… We went to the dealer to look at the car: some rust spots, some worn seats. Now I ask m I wonder if 8.500 euros are too much money for the car (also compared to vehicles from other suppliers on mobile.de)?

  • Cruise control

Hello @ all I had read here, that retrofitting of a cruise control is not a topic. Said done. Old flashing stick switch out and against one with cruise control again. 15 min – it went super fast. But… he doesn’t. (Of course has no legs). Can it be that I have a switch Omi? Or maybe I have a fuse for it somewhere or even a relay.

  • Bus drivers often unqualified ??

Moin people, hope the topic is not too pickant. I still drive by bus to school (2 X daily) and there comes to me sometimes really the gray as the bus drivers bus ride. For example: Narrow Bautelle in a curve (closed village) on the countercarriage comes a saddle train, enough space for two is not there. What does the bus afhrer do? Just start there until garnix more goes… The saddle train had to rank backwards that the bus could pass through. often fast on the way. e.g. closed village with 70 kmh etc? What does it lead to its roster? Can not understand this and it is as a passenger also really not pleasant especially if you have only a standing place. Often also the first aisle is completely skipped, there is simply in 4 aisle hit, the 2 aisle is skipped, immediately in the 3. With speed 60 in 5 is braked with the foot brake…. Motor brake is the bus driver where I also gallueb i have a foreign word ! Ecoligi sches and fuel-saving driving, efficient switching and a pleasant driving environment is a foreign word for many (Lienen)bus drivers. Would love to hear your experiences and opinions about it. Especially since we also have a ”bus handlebar” among us greetings Domi

  • Set steering gears on the DB508 Bj ́78

Hello everybody! Does anyone have a manual (with pictures and arrows) how to set the steering gear on the DB 508 (this chassis, not from this place)? It is a manual, so not a servo, steering gear. In my golf it is a screw that you have to secure afterwards. Is it the same, or at least similar? A commercial vehicle mechanic (in training, 2nd year) said his operation (which has taken care of the car so far, in case of problems) puts on this type k I don’t know why they would always replace the steering gears, starting with new or outdated ones. I mean, they just shoot. The vehicle has an animally small turning circle. Is that what you want, or is that because of the game in the steering gear which is too big? The wheels are almost 90° (eff. approx. 75°) to the body. It’s always for roaring when I turn the car on the smallest blades. e. There people, especially truck drivers, always fall down the jaw. Greetings shrolf97 PS. If you need data from the appearance, I can only give it to you tomorrow, as I will only come back to the equipment house this evening (after work).

  • Transit documents Germanl.-Switzerland-Italy

Hello, I’m going to Italy in 4 days with a student club. In the 7.5 tonner we have a self-constructed racing car/prototype (value: about 30 T Euro). Now the question, what do I need for customs/transit documents, where do I get them, what does that cost? Have already telephoned with the Swiss customs office, and get the information that I need confirmations for the paid VAT as well as a T2 document which stamped at the transition to Switzerland, as well as at the destination in Italy Thank you for the information. • Is a boxster with 204 hp the right choice?

We’re just thinking of buying one of the first boxsters with the small machine. Does anyone have experience of what should be considered best? Are there problems with the machine. Automatic OK? Small machine and automatic – how does that work? Does this still make fun? Is there a purchase advice for the first models? The car is from 1997. For more infos thank you!
