  • Old-timer commercial vehicle “Reenactment”

    Hello, my grandfather had a construction company in the late ’50s and for a long time I have been dreaming of refurbishing a small truck after a photo template (color, labeling) as it was used in his Frima. At first I thought of a T2 Doka, but I find it relatively expensive, Hanomag F-series or Mercedes had it as well and these are in a usable condition to get cheaper. Optical “new car character” however, he should not get, I find to a construction site driving a certain patina, the smell of wet cement and equipment on the loading area.   • Aspera / Tecumseh 2-stroke

    Hello, have a approx. 30 to 40 years old balenmower with a 2-stroke Aspera / Tecumseh engine. Unfortunately, don’t get it running. There is no spark of ignition available. Is in a very good condition the part. Who knows advice? Can it possibly be that because of the long standing e.g. the capacitor has abandoned the spirit? Ignition coil already probably not. had already the same problem with an Aspera lawnmower. Was also no spark of ignition available. So maybe it was a condenser or rather a contact matter? Are really quite robish motors, at least when they are running. Who knows advice or has a few tips on how to get to the thing? Like e.g. the Zünspule, interrupter contacts or or capacitor check….   • Which transverse acceleration can withstand the 11s (997)

    I just saw the story of the “misch on the highway”, i.e. the 11s, which just turns and then hits the guardrail. So far I only moved my newly acquired 997 on Black Forest roads; there it is good but the view to find the expensive fun car in the undergrowth also makes careful. The question would be now, how does it behave on curly BAB, e.g. A7 Kasseler Berge or Sauerlandline A45? What is your experience here? Does it have advantages over M 3, S4 or other combat boxes? Are there measured values (in g) for lateral acceleration on dry road?

    Hi Community, for some time now – as a passive member – I read your mostly very informative posts and hope for a little help with the configuration of my 911er. It will be my first Porsche and I don’t want to be delivered as an absolute novice to a salesman at the Porsche Center. The 997 Carrera S with PDK is in the eye. In detail it would be nice if you could share your experiences with me on these questions: Is it right that only the I am not interested in the electrical adjustment possibilities including the memory function. On the part of the interior, I have considered the leather equipment in grey natural leather. Is this colour as insensitive as black in the long term? How well can it be telephoned with the hands-free system? Is the purchase of the cordless hands-free hands-on device possibly even obligatory? I am No friend of multifunction steering wheels.   • 997 C4 PDK => Drive VA can be switched off with a trick!

    In Carrera 4 the four-wheel drive can be switched off: Quotation: Our colleagues […] have also returned a wet trick to them by Porsche engineers — a sort of hidden feature of this new PDK transmission. By pulling up on the hand brake just one notch it’s not the parking brake that comes on but what this Porsche actually does is disengage the front axle. Thereby turning the 997 (with a wink and nod) into a rear-wheel drive doughnut maker. So you only have to use the handbrake a “knabe” Is this a “secret trick” or is something like that in the user manual? Can’t look right now, because I don’t have a 997

  • Clutch adjusts by itself

    After a couple of kilometers, about 30-40, the clutch game changes so strongly that hardly any switching is possible. What could this have to do with? The clutch has only about 2000 km down. Clutch train is also new. I am a bit perplexed. Who has ever had such a problem? DLzG ??

  • Silencer: KTM HXC – Questions about assembly

    Hello and a healthy new year! I bought a HXC sports muffler for my Kati (LC4 640 BJ98). I would like to ask you a few questions 🙂 (I bought the exhaust at ebay and only get it in a few days.) 1. I bought it mainly because of the better look and sound. However, I don’t want to give away the possible extra power – what do I have to do to get the optimal performance with the muffler ?? (I don’t want to go to the P my air filter is completely original and as a carburetor I have a Mikuni BST40 in it, but I don’t know what kind of nozzle is in it. 2. What do you need to re-suppress the exhaust? Where do you buy this at the best, and what can it cost? Would it be installed to attach the lid to the rear of the silencer? Just weld nuts or how do you do it at the sc 3. What about the legality ? Can I drive the part on the road ? If yes, I have to have it registered ?   • KTM 600 SUMO

    Hello, as you have probably already noticed in the past or not, I have converted my KTM 600 to Supermoto with everything that belongs to it… So now the question arises, how do I get the things registered… There is no part report for my Kati, that means I get reports for the installed parts like rims original KTM, brake discs adapter HE, and original KTM brake discs but there is no report for the parts to a KTM 600 Bj. 92 Is there just one single acceptance at the RWTüv…? Or do the reports from the buildings parts… What experiences have you made…
