  • Current power drop and jerking 1.4L TDI

    Hello, I’m new here and I’m not very familiar with engine technology either. I have a problem with my Lupo, he has now about 170000 km on it and has always run flawlessly up to now. Recently, a power drop of the car occurs at very irregular intervals after more or less driven kilometers. He drives hardly more 120Kmh on straight routes and he normally drives a lot faster. He starts to jerk down below 2000U/m and also has problems with the restart, the r engine sounds different too. It’s funny if I keep standing and the engine off and off again everything is OK again.     Hello, I made a mistake and unfortunately only noticed it now. I have a Lupo Oxford, BJ 2002 recently and have refilled a little 10 W 40 oil. I don’t know exactly what was in it before, the note was not more legible. Apparently I should have taken 0 W 30 or 5 W 30. I drove about 1500 km with it. Is that very bad? What can I do now? And another question: I only got a key and I want to have a spare key made. ZV I did not. But there is no problem. And somehow, that you need to copy such a number. Is that in the vehicle license?   • Engine damage 850 20v 170 Ps ?

    Hello, I have a problem with my 850 20V 170hp Built. 96. One morning I drove to work about 35 km, when I arrived at work I noticed that in the empty run a slight cracker came out of the engine, but that fluctuated as soon as one gave gas. I did not think much about it, so I drove after work still something pick up. I drove about 120 km on the highway with about 130km/h until I suddenly heard a sudden coming extremely loud clapping and squeaking out of the engine. it still sounds extremely loud as if the camshaft or a piston would hit wrongly. I had to drive with this sound about 3 km further, because I was just in a highway tunnel. I noticed that the oil warning light also flume like in the cycle of a piston ( but I looked oil and it was at maximum, so ok ). Now we have already removed the valve cover and found that the camshaft ran without oil. What can this be about? at once without warning the oil pressure is gone ??? Now we have removed the oil pump and installed a new seal and it seems to me as if the oil pressure is back now. Valve cover built on it again, but it still started immediately. So again valve cover down again and 20 new hydro plungers installed. But then it still ran equally bad. The engine tackers and crawls always as if a piston or a camshaft strikes What can be there, I also know no more. Mfg Henning

  • Seats and steering wheel in CTR /MOMO and Recaro???

    All right. Go for a bet between breeze radius and me. Have a question about the seats and the steering wheel in our CTRs. In the 30th CTR it is known that the steering wheel of MOMO. Does this also apply in the NON30th CTR? And the red seats in the 30th are from Recaro. Are these with us (so in the normal CTR) also from Recaro? Thanks for your answer. MfG Chris

    I had an offer for the engine conversion for the CTR made. It didn’t take long then it was there. They offer for our engine 4 upgrade stages. Performance increase of 15 – 80 HP But pure suction tuning is of course. I find it funny that you can get out 80 HP with our engine with suction tuning. This conversion should also cost 8390 Euro. What about it?

    What else would I be interested in: What changes did Honda make to reduce the engine of the Civic Type R by 30 hp? I mean, it’s actually the same engine as the S2000… up to the 30 hp.     Hello, wanted to ask you something about the Young or Oldtimer in general? Ask the question consciously, since I prepare a small work with presentation for the school about the economic efficiency of a (part) restoration of Young or Oldtimer. Unfortunately I do not own a Oldtimer yet, have a 89er Jetta 2 which will be 25 in 3 months and thus finally belong to the Youngtimer. But I ask myself the question, is the restoration or that again make of such a Youngtimer imer/oldtimer economically worthwhile? I also want to include what the new purchase, the maintenance and the subsequent costs of a newer car would entail. So already compared to old against “new” used cars of newer year of construction. Does and drive you a oldtimer because you have fun at the car or because it is better economically? Would I be happy about a few answers from you! P.S. is a small oldtimer fan myself
