  • Search Tourer / Sporttourer but he should be sociable

Hello forum. I had to sell my 900s disversion last year because of a bad illness, since I had made little hope of a re-seat, already alone because of the enormous weight of the Diva. Now all this has developed much better than suspected and I am back to buying a good machine. She should be, also with suitcase and topcase, to drive, and above all the Socius should have a good sitting position and the footrest back should not be t be so high attached that the knees are in the height of the ears. Just what for dignified tourers at a set age. The FJR of Yamaha is unfortunately too heavy for me, and a BMW too expensive, and as I heard quite expensive in the entertainment talking workshop costs. I’m looking for what about the 80 – 130 hp, no workshop technician, and not too heavy. With my size of 176 cm would be a sitting position around the 800mm OK. Please ask for information that will help me.

  • Battery constantly empty overnight – how to find cause?

Hello municipality, have the problem with my T89 at the moment that the battery is constantly sucked off and I have therefore for quite a while always clamped down the minus pole due to lack of time. Short history to facilitate possible limitations: At the beginning of the year my steering pole switch was defective, for this I had here in the forum also wrote a post:http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/switch-down-light-defect-help-to-repair-t2503819.html After this outand built and repaired, it also worked perfectly again until the beginning of May. At the moment I suspect two things about the history with the battery: First I immediately thought about the switch, because one day I switched on the light and had to find that the speedometer lighting no longer works. After I shut down the car after this ride, the battery was empty the next day. I had of course immediately the battery due to the time connection Switches are suspected, because the tach lighting is switched on via this. I have meanwhile also got a new switch, but with this the same problems continue. In other words, the speedometer lighting does not work and the battery is empty overnight. The second suspicion lies on the retrofitted radio remote control, which is mounted in the trunk aum at the servo pump. I have found that now only one turn signal side by pressing the remote Bedi I could also imagine that this is somehow the culprit. What do you mean by that? Is there any evidence in your eyes that it might be one or the other? How could I find out this relatively uncomplicated and reliable? (Measurement is available)

  • oil on spark plug

moin together and first of all a happy new so the car about what it is about: audi 100 avant 2.3 quattro bj 89 1-th question: I have been observing for a long time that oil is leaking out at the candles (it really comes out of the candle and not from the valve lid or servopume!) . It doesn’t bother me special but meanwhile the sourness is already quite big and I would be interested in what the cause is, so that you can take this with you in the next reperature. vll still next to half a year ago I jumped at high speed of the timing belts, since then there is the problem of the further he runs at 3000-3300 turns a bit rough or loud. and does not pull so well !? after that is normal again. spark plugs are also properly dressed and a change also did not bring anything 2-th question: soon he would need a change of oil since this is also long overdue what would you recommend for oil ? so far I only have the cheap 15W – 40 out of the construction market n tilted, which is really not so the optimal.. greets Sparke

  • Radio no longer works – RAV4 2.0 Gasoline, BJ 2006

  • RAV4 year 2014 – AT tyres, who has experience on the type XA4 with

Hello, the next summer is approaching unstoppably and I am thinking about AT tyres in 225/65/17: a.) General Tire – Grapper AT/HTP (To Grob for a lot of road?) b.) Dunlop – Grandteck AT3 (saw tooth formation/noise after some time?) c.) Michelin – Latitude Cross (more winter tires through lamellas?) d.) Winter tires ride all year round (too soft for summer, ride too fast, are then too hard in the coming winter because softeners steam out over summer, too restless road lurches age?) Greetings

  • Car broken out of workshop – what could have happened?

Hello! I want to get my car (type doesn’t matter) out of the workshop. The mechanic tells me that there is a problem with the battery. The car then starts with the help of a “power booster” and I drive home. The voltage indicator fluctuates when I drive home, e.g. when I press the electric windows. My guess is that the car runs on battery and not on a lich machine, although all control lamps stay out. I first measured the battery. n: 12,1 Volt Well, well, battery to the charger – charging current approx. 1 Ampere. So according to my modest knowledge, there is not much to do when charging. After about 5 hours I clamp the battery again. Interior lighting after the door opens again normal. But already when the ignition is switched on, this darkens and the control lamps only glow darkly and in the engine room is a ticker to hear. (no start attempt, in order not to break any more!) What could have broken there? The workshop only had the order to change the brake pads and check the car (purchased 4 weeks ago). I will talk to the mechanic tomorrow. Maybe you can give me a tip on what the error can be. Gruss Uwe

  • no current in plymouth

Hello together, today I installed my ignition cable and carburetor on the plym satellite in 1972 and filled up fluids, and then wanted to turn the motor briefly (wire from ignition coil to distributor I left out) had my battery charged and built in. ignition keys turned, nothing happened, no noise, zero! lights + flasher worked, didn’t go. I took another battery for the test, also no success. I measured from the plus pulse of the battery to the starter, came 11,4v. before I revised the engine everything went without problems. I looked briefly into the security box and at first glance did not see any defective security, I have not measured it yet. where should I start with the error search? if the battery is connected, should at least light+blinker work. I went through the wiring several times, but could not discover anything. there are certain places I should measure, or something like a “haup” if someone has a Wiring-diagram I would also be grateful! thanks already for all tips and pointing out! greetings tom

  • More consumption/loss of power for exhaust tuning

Good evening, to what extent the replacement of the original exhaust system affects the fuel consumption and the performance. If the original system is replaced by e.g. a continuous pipe/empty pots/bulbs etc., does this necessarily increase the consumption? Does the car lose power? Does a car engine need counter pressure as with a 2Tacter ? mfg Jockel

  • Consumption…

Meal.. I wanted to ask – what did you actually have for experience regarding the consumption of your V8?? I once had a Dodge D150 PickUp with 350 Chevy (Holley racing carburetor) – had so 260hp.. There was the consumption range of 16 to 40 liters (depending on the driving mode) 16 liters = clear.. NULL fun, always as low as possible from the gas dosage *grins* 20-23 liters was with normal, moderate driving 25 to 30 liters = more fun while driving, also sometimes druaftritt and the lead I had already tried to find posts on the topic via the search function (wouldn’t want to boil the topic up for the xth time if necessary..) but there was nothing about the keyword consumption.. What does your V8 look like?? ciao Oliver
