  • Parking on walkway

    Hello, today I got a little bit over 20€ for illegal parking on the sidewalk, although there was the sign “Parking on sidewalks”. (see pictures) I parked in the height of the woman with a dog with 2 wheels on the sidewalk as well as other vehicles in front and behind me. A little further in front is the sign that you can park there. Is this right? On the pictures you can see on the left side of the street also vehicles standing half on the sidewalk and there is no sign for the sidewalk. I have also parked several times there and have not got a ticket. In the whole side streets there the vehicles park half on the sidewalk and ONLY here on the right side of the road stands the sign. And only here you get a ticket???

  • Workshop pulled me over the table….

    Hello, can anyone give me information? my car (SangYong) didn’t turn on properly anymore, and also lost Oel. The car was several times in the repair.. The 3rd time claimed the Mech. (Chef) The machine/gear was defective. However, since I was a bit suspicious and in this forum someone had found me hoping that this was definitely only the board. So I just read the board change. The Mech. was very bad and claimed I would not come home with the a car ( 20Km). But I had made it! A forum member advised me to have the transmission oil checked urgently, because the car was powerless. The measuring rod showed no oil!!!! a Mercedes garage had then filled me 4l gear oil…….. The garage owner from Eschlikon had tried to break the car down to home.(gear damage) In Steinen I then found a very competent garage which had confirmed to me that the machine was not defective, and The Garagist had built in the wrong candles that were too weak (some of which were partly plastered) and which had to be drilled out very elaborately. The whole thing then cost a few thousand francs. I tried to find a solution with Urs H… and asked him to take over half the bill…. Without reaction, he denies the candles! But did a bill where the candles are charged. Do I have to accept this? Should I operate it? Does anyone have experience with a similar case? Thank you very much

  • Rear drive in wet and snow. How safe in everyday traffic?

    Hello people I have had my driver’s license since this year (currently still BF17) and am looking for my first car at the moment. I am very interested in the BMW E46 series; I really like it. Only the rear drive does something for me. Can one really only drive the roads safely in winter with good winter tyres ala Michelin or Conti or do such measures like cement bag in the trunk really have to be? I mean that if one wants to turn at a traffic light and there with massi g gas, of course, can collect a spinner. But that is clear to me that you have to drive with a lot of feeling and rational thinking in winter. I have also heard of a well-known one that you can turn even in wet weather if you only start or turn off with a little more gas. Do you really spin so fast or is that more of a myth? So a buddy has already had to experience it on wet road… Would I be happy if you could advise me on this topic because ic h I am worried about using a rear drive as a novice so that I live in the middle mountains and there in a somewhat more mountainous area (Thüringer Wald; direction Rennsteig). And our winter service is not always the most reliable.   • Retrofit DAB+ antenna?

    Hello, I’m looking for a way to use the original antenna inserted in the front panel for DAB+ reception. At the moment I use a disc adhesive antenna, this works wonderfully only it looks cruel. Just as I found out now sitting at the end of the A-pillar on each side an antenna soft, left FM1 and right FM2. That would have to be the two antenna cables that also arrive at the bottom of the radio. Would it now work, for example, if I had the FM 2 Switch for a DAB+ capable (8t8035225D) and put another cable to the radio? Does the normal radio reception still work, with limitation ? Maybe someone had the same idea and can tell me something about it.
