  • MID repair/repair

Hi! Can anyone give me a hint, where I can possibly have this “pixel pile” repaired/repaired? Would I be grateful for a small idea, how to repair the part yourself? Have seen, where the problem lies, only need to know how to reconnect the conductor tracks? 330€ for a new MID (price with the friendly one), is decidedly too expensive for me! Thank you in advance! Greetings nova2003

  • Charging condition Battery in the UVO app (petrol)

My car has been standing in the garage for a few days at a time unused. At the current minus temperatures, I ask myself whether you actually get the current state of the battery displayed in the UVO app. So, clearly under “battery” you can see the condition. It’s still under “green / normal”. The question is, it actually shows other conditions before the battery is completely dead. Have you ever seen a different state than green / normal?

  • Registration 15″ Torq Thrust on 1966 Pontiac Tempest

Hello together, I am looking for successful entries with the rim mentioned above. I am facing the problem that I will not get my 15×7″ front (225/65) and 15×8″ rear (255/60) registered in any way. It fails due to the load rating (I have from American Racing in English), at the front and rear different sizes and at the contemporary condition for the H approval. Currently I drive around with 15″ steel rims… I have already asked the TÜV This brings me to the white glow for 3 reasons: 1. There are so many classic cars that drive around with these rims and different sizes in front and back. 2. If I now check out 10 TÜV testers, then it will probably even enter one. 3. If these rims are not contemporary, which then?! Also different sizes in front and back were available at that time, if not for delivery ex works. Maybe someone has documents or a letter with these registered rims or any other helpful tip… Thank you and greeting Martin

  • The spoilt of choice: Which tires fit the car

Meal! The tyres on my new 69er Galaxy XL convertible are 17 years old, I have already seen before the purchase, but now it is concrete. Currently there are white wall tires on it, front 225/75 R15, rear 235/75 R15, but in appearance only the 225er are registered. I would like to have the classic Cooper Cobra GT because of the white letters. However, according to my research there are not in /75, only in 225/70 R15….or even in Breiter up to 255/70 R15. Broader would not be wrong to me either, what kind of tyres are available in /75, only in 225/70 R15…. or in Breiter up to 255/70 R15. i 255 is probably too much for the rim (but don’t know the rim width at all). So, what do you do? On the one hand I could just drive the current flaps, then I can at least leave bitle rubber on the road, but 17 years are not exactly a safety garant…. Or at times go to the TÜV or similar, and have another size entered? Who has experiences here, whether and to what extent this is possible (of course the respective examiner, which can not be influenced, a Is it possible to get 235/70 R15 registered? Roll circumference changes yes, is the tachorelevant? Is it easier to vary in width or cross-section? What would be maximum possible? And is that reasonable, because at some point I have balloon tires…. in any case I want to keep the original rims. Do you have alternatives to Cooper Cobra, which are also quite pleasant in price? Retro Classics tyres with white wall are bitsle cheaper, but come in my opinion not quite soo good, Maxxis oldtimer whitewall are expensive…. Finally: Driving another tire size simply without registration will probably not be the best idea…..or what does the friend and helper say about it? Greetings, Gunter

  • Loss of value corvette C8 ?

Dear colleagues, what could a 2022 Corvette C8 convertible (6.2; 482 hp) still be worth after 3 years with 30,000 km? I’m on top… 30% would still be okay, 50% would be too much for me.

  • Software update went wrong at the RNA 810 BJ 2011

Hello together With the SW update from version 1222 to 3218 something went wrong. All bars went through 100%, only then at Gateway has hung up. But this had at this time also 0%. Then came the software build error. Now it reads in the update CD, but I can not start or cancel the update anymore, because the touch does not work. My question is now, can I get out of there somehow or there is an option to start the update manually. Can I get J send help? (And no it was no original VW-CD) Thank you very much for your answers

  • Display including climate control is temporarily out. In addition, also error Sign Assist

Greetings to the round! I recently bought a Phaeton from 2013. Very satisfied, of course, is not a new car anymore, but I knew that before. I only have a small problem now, maybe someone already had it in the round. With me the display with climate control is temporarily off. In addition, also error Sign Assist. The next day it goes again and then falls after you have used the vehicle again again. Are Nav i and Climatronic control panel one unit? Unit in the back works yes. Has anyone ever had the same problem in the forum? LG John

  • Legal position of the car industry

A further exhaust gas cleaning was probably too expensive for the industry. The small quantity, because too small tanks of the urea necessary for hydrolysis (aqueous urea solution) were not noticed for years. The insufficient knowledge of the political committee was exploited by the industry and obtained the registration. Obviously the vehicles are not to be objected under the respective specifications (E 4-6). Dobrind and Scheuer are missing their hands due to the valid approvals of the KBA, which is why the success of the lawsuit is probably uncertain. Overall, this throws our car industry back in image form.
