  • Caddy meeting 2010

Hello guys, the Caddy meeting 2009 is only a few hours back and we have to deal with the planning for this already… As every year, I am trying to choose a time where the federal state has holidays! 2010 are again very close together. So only two weekends (without overlaps) remain effective and that is… As already discussed at the meeting, the proposal to allow the next meeting to take place on the North or Baltic Sea did not find a large majority! Another proposal was the geographical centre (somewhere near Frankfurt a.M.) of Germany (Hessen). There the weather is supposed to be better than in the Eifel, I personally think it is pure propaganda of any Caddy faction! Another had a lake/campsite proposed near Nuremberg. Also here the weather is supposed to be better (allegedly)! So I ask for lively speeches where we will be the next Caddy meeting should take place? Greetings Torsten PS.: It would be nice if some of you could link this thread in your own Sig.! Thank you

  • Do you have a tweeter without a function?

Servus, I have installed a little new music in my vehicle. Radio, door speakers, and there should be new tweeters in the train as well. Now I have just briefly connected the things for a test… but music is not doing anything at all. I only get the “Beep”…. “Beep” over it again, which I get to hear as “control tones” from the radio menu. Did I connect something wrong?? The car already has an ISO connection, as well as the new radio. I had to Only replace the ignition plus cable, because with the accessoriesRadio would otherwise be the storage every time away. Ahja: Even the factory-side tweeters do not give (as far as I get it with) any sounds of themselves.

  • Golf 3 Kenwood BT92D to Nokia DSP – follow-up question

Hello guys! I would like to connect a Kenwood BT92SD in my Golf 3 Jubi Bj. 97 with original Nokia DSP. I solved the problem with the adapter thanks to the instructions here in the forum. However, I still have two questions which could answer me on not google and co:1. My Kenwood wire harness has two blue/white wires (1x on the ISO connector pin 5 and 1x once more a separate cable) Would it be right if I had the remote of the Nokia DSP (which is located at the vehicle’s ISo-St) ecker an Pin 3 hangs) connect to pin 5 of the radio and take the separate line for the phantom feed (adapter) if necessary?2. Is my original roof antenna active at all, so this requires a phantom feed and if not, would it hurt if I still connect the phantom adapter? Note: On the iso plug of the pin 5 is only current control On the seperate cable stands power control / control cable for the antenna ———> p. 71-74 Connection diagram Oh yes, I have also no safe pin 5! I hope you can help me! Thank you in advance! Greetings Jens P.S. I hope I was allowed to upload the user manual; otherwise please delete it.

  • Car radio cable fire

Hello, I changed my car radio a few days ago. Unfortunately it didn’t fit in properly, and so I temporarily “clamped” it into a universal cage. Should only be a temporary solution anyway. I had a few problems with the backup from the radio when installed (flog out constantly because the remote cable was not connected) The error was found quickly. But because I did not have a 20A fuse, which is normally installed on the radio, more I had a 10A Si It worked great, no problems at all. Today I wanted to push the radio a little bit backwards. The remote cable must have solved itself again. Follow: The yellow cable to the radio glowed very brightly, it smoke detachment and I immediately had to leave the radio almost already. Ignition off, safety out. Backup was still complete! My question is now: Can someone estimate how profound the damage is and whether it is reparable? Why? Has the fuse not grasped and flew out? With a smaller one it should fly out even faster? LG S.R. Picture in the appendix: Bottom green marking: Remains of the rotted yellow cable, insulation completely way, copper extremely brittle. At the top green marking: That’s where the yellow cable went into the car. Looks like almost the entire shielding was burnt on and thus the entire car. Other markings: Schmorrstellen, which were created by the heat of the yellow cable.

  • Oldtimer: speaker best option

Hello together, I have a vintage car and want to refit it with music. Unfortunately, the possibilities are limited. I have a built-in space for the center front front of the windshield in which originally the only speaker of the original monoradio sat. In addition, I have two built-in places in the back of the hat rack. I don’t really know about Car HiFi but would like to achieve a good result among the given possibilities. I’m the type who has a mp3 “in g The radio is the link below, because there are buttons and front panel in OEM style:http://www.ampire.de/MOTOR-3.htm?… Now to the speakers, I know the sound is preferable to the installation at the front, but I would like to have stereo. There are stereo speakers suitable for the front mounting position, e.g.:http://www.classiccarstereos.com/…/KNW1006.html Is something to consider or prefer two higher quality speakers in the hat rack? Or as a third possibility to equip front and rear? Closed still, would it make sense to support the whole with a small sub and seperate power stage? I completely relegate cables, the car is standing as a bare coach in the garage anyway and I am anyway laying the harnesses.

  • Suddenly no more heights!

Hello, I have already searched here and in the Golf 4-Forum, but only found something that has to do with subsequent installation. In my Bora suddenly (today still works normally) no heights can be heard anymore. I already tried to listen directly to the tweeters and think that on both sides the tweeters don’t sound. Now I have the question: What is the likely error? Problem on the radio (Kenwood)? Or does the Golf 4/ Bora have a (or 2) crossover(s)? This makes it strange that it suddenly doesn’t work overnight. Since I have to degrade the whole TV during speaker check-up or exchange, I might first look behind the radio. Or if it could be the radio directly, replace it immediately. In the manual “This is done” only the insertion and extension of the LS is described, no info about crossover Thanks for tips.

  • Automatic transmission Aisin-Warner AWTF-80 SC recommended? Pull caravans

Moin, I’m looking for another car with automatic in the medium term, which is long-lasting and robust at 30000km/year with about 15000km of city share and with which I can draw a good conscience 1400kg caravan (2-3x a year, maybe 3000km). I’m not set on a brand, but would like to have a used mid-range limousine with diesel engine. I always hit the Aisin-Warner TF-80 SC (or AWTF-80 shrieked), which is a 6-speed converter automatic. Citroen C5, in the Peugeot 508 (will now be replaced with the introduction of the 508 II), in Mazda6 and in some Volvos, Ford Mondeos and also in the Opel Insignia 2.0 CDTI. So really widespread, which should be a good sign. A burned child shys the fire, I therefore also looked directly for problems with the gearbox. And there you find unfortunately through the bench (so with all vehicles) so some reports of gears, which start to switch badly (backly) and then i A gear oil change doesn’t help because it’s a different, bigger problem. But it’s difficult for me to assess the proportion of problems. Is the TF-80 SC a well-known problem bear, or do I stumble over heaped individual cases here? 😉 Can someone, with caravans, tell you about the durability of the gear at their own car? Thanks and greetings chrisdash

  • Cost control chain change 3.0R

I recently bought an Outback 3.0R from private. At the test drive everything was ok. Already the next day the engine leaked. I changed everything, belts, tension roller bearings, pulley roller bearings, then to Subaru… Suspected of chain damage. I reported this to the previous owner… then I called the car house (where the car was always). They immediately knew, ah, the silver outback with wheel chain damage… I was shocked. Ever. A) car back, B) the complete chain drive is changed with everything and the costs are paid half by everyone, only the chain tensioner is for me not usually. Subaru meant that only chain tensioner exchange comes on approx. 1000€. Has someone had a H6 engine revised the control chain? I need a Ca. price indication…
