  • Performance enhancement – points of contact, shops, etc.

    Hello all, I am in possession of a Fiat Bravo 1.6 (182) – 103hp and I am interested in the possibilities of improving the performance of the engine. Are there good contact points on the Internet, which offer good parts especially for the Fiat models or are there only “universal” parts that you have to adjust yourself? What, I think, is an interesting kind of performance increase is probably the turbo charge, but is there any tuning kits that do what? Somewhere to have seen an electric “mini” turbocharger that makes the intake air really steam. I’m interested in the topic and the possibilities, the implementation is of course something else, but before the implementation comes the planning anyway and before that you have to gather knowledge first. I am also interested in the type of performance increase when you expand the cylinder capacity etc. .. these topics, simply everything, and as already said, shops in which you di Do you have good information for me?     Hello, I am thinking about whether I should get a 156 2.4 TD as SW or a limo. Should one be from year 2001. What in general should I consider and what do you think of the car.   • Error P0420 & VW cannot read engine control unit (OBD2 adapter works however)

    Hello, I drive a VW Touran 1.4TSI BJ. 2009 and have the following problem: approx. all 100km the engine control light appears. I have an OBD2 Bluetooth Adater and this one reports the error P0420 (Efficiency KAT). I wanted to have the error fixed in a VW workshop, however the VW workshop does not come to the ECU. We had the same error already last year on the way on the holiday. Engine control light came during the ride and VW could not get the ECU out a test with a control unit from another Touran had shown that the reading is possible in principle. I was then recommended to replace the engine control unit. I had done this, but I had to get the control unit used myself, because these were not available at the time and we were stuck in the middle of Germany on the way to the holiday. After the installation of the new control unit, we were able to find the correct control unit. The error (sensor in the tank cover) could be found and repaired. The current reported error (a lack of Kat-Efficiency) came for the first time a few weeks ago. After consultation with a well-known mechanic I had deleted it and drove to the already due TÜV. The car passed the exhaust gas examination without complaint. The VW workshop now wants to open the complete cable harness and measure it (>200€).   • VAG-COM reports: no response from controller

    Hello everyone! I own a GOLF 4 (1J). I recently bought this OBD connection cable on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?… I know… eBay eBay…. but now my first questions are coming: Is there also USB OBD connection cables or interfaces on eBay that you can be satisfied with? Can anyone report on experiences with such things http://cgi.ebay.de/…mZ8065311496QQcategoryZ30921QQrdZ1QcmdZViewItem? Now comes the second question regarding I have tested this cable today with the “probe version” of VAG-COM, namely with the 311.2 . The cable is recognized and the drivers are installed, VAG … so far it also recognizes everything well. But as soon as I want to manually read out individual ECUs or sensors I get almost 90% of the whole selection {no response from controller – retry?} or similar. As said two three things can be read out but otherwise… Can this lie on the cable or is that always so who n VAG-Com is not fully unlocked or registered? I think I have only 6 – 8 pins at the OBD cable end. Does that have something to say? Do all 16 pins normally have to be there? Would I also be very pleased about few but competent answers.     Does someone also have the problem that is not recognized after the new update ( 15.7.4) the interface? have also been googled before but there was always problems with the driver but that is not the case with me. in the device manager it is displayed without errors. can someone help me?

    Hello !! Have the following problem with my Ecort, 1.8L, 16V, Zetec: The car is built in 8/95, and has 77 KW. For a few days the temperature indicator goes into the red area. Cooling water I checked. Since the radiator fan did not sprung, although the indicator is in the red area, I replaced the thermoswitch of the fan. Now the fan goes but the temp. is still in the red area. Before the temp. indicator never went beyond the middle area. The cooler hoses are all equally warm (Heiss). The balance tank is hand warm. Now I have the idea that possibly the temperature sensor is def.. Now my question: -Where is this. Have a plug on the thermostat housing, it can be this one? – How can I test this if there is a def.? – What can it still be about? Need urgent help !!! Thanks in advance !! mfG AXT

    Hello people am new in this forum. With the hope that someone can help me! I bought a new car with great pleasure the Kia Sportage 2.0 Diesel the joy stopped right up to that moment, that I got into the car and my IPhone4 did not log into the system. Then called the Kia customer service and the nice consultant said with me please read the instructions! After 2 months he believed that the system hung up constantly and I got a new device. After exactly 1300 km I heard grinding noises from the rear storage. 1 month later I put in the first gear, and the car dopste correctly forward. Zidate the workshop “coupling separates” not only after 4 weeks I got an appointment!! Car was a day in the workshop the complete clutch kit was replaced (of which I am not convinced) fetched the car drove off 130km came into a traffic jam and into a stop&go traffic at half kicked clutch in the first gear The car started to hop like a wild rabbit!!!! Outback storage still grinds. In the first passage my rabbit continues to hop afterwards I drove again to the KIA workshop and they told me that this was completely normal. After I had to become a little louder and did not want to be declared stupid I asked him to drive one of the 2 cars he had there to stand this sample. To his astonishment these cars had not this symtom I must be glad that the r Master has agreed to replace the mass swing wheel even though the car still has 6.5 years warranty. Is that normal at KIA? Does anyone have experience? The car has now 9000 km worth it to turn on a lawyer?? LG one who never gives KIA a chance again.
