    Hello to the motor talk round! Unfortunately, my installed Bosch car battery has today “joyed” (the car doesn’t start anymore, electronics don’t make any noises) and I would like to save a few euros, like to make the battery change itself. Unfortunately, there is a large selection of car batteries for the Nissan Micra K11, so I find it hard to choose or I don’t know which one fits the car at all.   • Water pump defective! And still 430 km to home…

    Hello people ! I am with my wife and the 260er since a few days in Hamburg (live in Mönchengladbach, easy distance are about 430 km). Yesterday I noticed coolant loss and was therefore yesterday in a MB branch here in HH. Result: was actually clear: the water pump says goodbye and fast a repair is not possible, since we drive tomorrow (so Saturday) anyway back home. However, the master at MB said, with moderate driving mode and regularly the filling of the coolant tank should be the way to make it – but of course I’m worried. Therefore my question to you: do you see this as well ? Did any of you ever have similar problems ? Or do you have any other tricks in stock to master the track ? I am grateful for every tip !   • W140 Level regulation

    Hello Today the spring memory was changed at my W140, finally it drives normally and does not jump anymore 🙂 But now I have a question about the level control because I found nothing in the manual about it. How does it work, always thought that when the engine runs and I sit eg on the trunk edge the car automatically pumps up.   • W220 S320 CDI – without NAVI !!! Upgrade ???

    Good ABend! After my W210 (270cdi) I actually thought – NEVER MORE BENZ! But now I found a Mod.2000 /EZ2001 W220 320CDI at a dealer. So it’s only true with 107000km ! at the price of EUR 14.900,– untraded. (Please no price tips – because of too expensive etc. … in Austria you have to be happy to find such a car, I will act naturally, but actually the price is with the small selection OK) For inexplicable reasons was at that time in the equipment gespa rt – it is missing e.g. seat memory and especially a NAVI !!!! Now to my question: can you retrofit this with the car – or is not worth the effort ?? If yes, what would you have to buy everything ? Thank you for your tips ! lg Willy

    hello ! once again a small 😉 problem with a benz. s-class w 220 ez 05/1999 s 320 gasoline automatic air suspension the following condition: on straight distances (for dodenshafts / gulli lids it crashes at the front axle. during steering impact it also crashes at the front axle. especially: almost only when the roads are wet ! mercedes has found nothing ! error memory has already been read several times by moved workshops ! the crash is really unpleasant !! statement bymerc edes benz: just keep going, it doesn’t fall apart – you know the new price of the s320 for sure 🙂 the whole thing is going like this for about 2 months now! ok, what I already had changed. 1. the compressor for the air suspension. 2. your right crossbar. but it wasn’t both. it still crawls. today’s statement by mercedes benz: ok, then we throw everything out of the front axle and make everything new, then it would have to be quiet! cool or ?! what mercedes wants for that I need yes don’t write here, or…… does someone have such a problem with their s – great ? or, even better, can someone tell me what that can be ?? would be really grateful for a useful tip !!!

  • Hinterachstranslation – Is it worth changing it?

    Hello! I wanted to ask myself if a rear axle differential change with a W126 or W124 is possible or recommended without too much effort. The 300s are actually quite short translated compared to the eight cylinders (3,27 vs 2,24 if I am not mistaken). Can one install the 2.82 rear axle of the 420er into a 300er in order to drive more smoothly?   • Help with the oil stop cable…

    Hola SLKler, I recently bought a SLK 200 compressor R170. At a car dealer who is also a car master. By chance I became aware of the keyword oil top kabal. So, now I passed by at MB, and let me see if the oil top cable is already in it and they told me that it can be installed for 50,- EUR. Unfortunately, it was found that the oil is already in the control unit and also the Lambda probe would be affected. Since this is actually still In the warranty of the dealer, the oil stop cable has not been installed with the hint, both the camshaft adjuster, as well as the wire harness, the control unit and the lampda probe should be replaced (approx. 3000 EUR). *uaaa* In case of demand with the seller (Car dealer/master) he said that he wants to clean this and then install the oil stop cable (MB wants to earn only money). Now my question is, is that right, or what can be cleaned and what needs to be replaced? According to another MB branch, in which I asked for a second opinion, only the oil lubrication is a damage or lack of the thing, even without the engine or the control unit ticking around. The OBD lamp is not yet burning. They continued to think that at least the wire harness and the magnet at the camshaft adjuster should be replaced, about 350 + 60 EUR. My legal protection could be Unfortunately I don’t say if it’s a lack, for that I would have to consult a lawyer, which I would like to do without, especially since my other car is already sold, I have bought new rims, winter tires etc., i.e. I don’t want to actually resign from the dealer.   • Roof rack for SLK 55 AMG retrofitting

    Now I have just read how I can make a basic carrier + ski carrier a friend in my SLK 55 AMG! And the sobering thing is: you can’t! There are for the SLK 200 – 350 retrofits so that you can mount a basic carrier + module if this has not happened ex factory! Only with the AMG package, which is part of the 55er, it is not possible! Has someone perhaps done this already or knows how this can work??? I find really mad that it is from W it is feasible, but in hindsight it is no longer possible… LG Basti
