  • Passenger door does not open ??? Cadillac STS 05

Halli Hello, I have been driving a Cadillac STS Bj. 2005 (4,6 L V8) for some time now and have the problem that the passenger door is no longer open from the outside. Unfortunately there is no lock on this side, so that I can now only make the doors mechanically from the inside on. Do I hear the door handle, how the actuator unlocks the rear door, but nothing happens at the front. Can anyone give me a hint what is going on and what could be broken? Was today i n the workshop around the corner (not brand specific) but they don’t dare. The car is too special. But think about this problem you can not only have with a Cadillac!!! Many thanks already for your help :-)) LG

  • Rear brake Leon

Hello guys, our Leon (Bj 2002) has a rather rusty brake disc on the rear axle. We bought it in February 2013 and before that he seems to have stood around for a long time. The question that arises to me, is it because of the pads? And is it enough if I renew the discs and the pads or can it also be a fixed seat? or is there too much air in the system? hope one can help me further. That’s how the brake looks at the moment, no matter how hard I put into the pedals la tsche: http://data.motor-talk.de/…/…axle-brake-8264159942943871578.jpg

  • Leon ST Facelift FR vs. Xcellence: seats and centre console

Hi Together, I have a few questions about the facelift of the current Leon. Drive a Leon ST FR (184PS HS) at the moment. Question: 1. Has the center console become narrower due to the absence of the manual parking brake? Find the already very wide on my 2013 Leon – my right leg could use a little more space 😉 2. I read that the seats in the Xcellence would be slightly more padded than in the FR – is that right? Greetings

  • Leon MJ 2018

Hello everybody, I was at the IAA last week and wanted to warm up my anticipation on my ordered Cupra 300 ST 4drive with a visit to the SEAT stand. There was exactly this car on display but with a few details that were not available so far: – Active Info Display – Beats Audio Soundsystem – Changed Alu entry bars (only Cupra logo, no “CUPRA” lettering anymore) and something I can’t remember anymore According to the lady at the stand, these are features I couldn’t find any official information about this in spite of google. She also meant the Beats-Audio System is offered in addition to the SEAT Sound System, i.e. as an upper premium offer. Do you know something more precise or does someone have official information? With such information from hostesses at the stand you have to be more careful… 😉 Thank you! TT.

  • Seat Leon Xperience – a few questions

Hi together, we are interested in a Leon X-Perience. A few questions have been asked: What are the consumption experiences with the 150 and 184 hp diesel DSG? For us, only the DSG necessarily comes into question, because we would like to drive automatic again. Current vehicle is a VW CC petrol with DSG. How about the ACC? We are used to this from the CC. Does the Leon also brake until a stop when approaching another vehicle? The CC has the intelligent Xeno I read a lot about the LED headlights. Does the Leon have a turning light on LED? with not LED headlights this seems to be realized via the NSW. With LED then also? With the facelift there was probably the electric parking brake. Since we might also consider a 2016 model, the question is whether the handbrake quickly gets “play”. How is the noise level in general? The CC is very l Eise – which is of course also class-related. Is the Leon rather loud compared to its competitors? Thank you for any help! Adrian

  • Dodge Charger 1973 Decode engine identifier

On the Internet there is a Dodge Charger. I wanted to compare in the first step whether the chassis number and engine number match each other. I just don’t want to decipher the engine number. Can someone help me and break it down? I think it’s on the picture: 8698830-440-8 Is this an engine number at all? I’ve been informed many times about Amis, but I’m still a newcomer. MfG Carl

  • The Infinite Story of the Toyota C-HR

I just have to let off steam at this point! 12 years I was satisfied Toyota customer, who was always satisfied with the Corolla as well as the Auris. The drama in 5 files then started last year with the new Toyota C-HR. First the car was registered by my car dealership, although the vehicle was physically not standing in the yard and no one could tell me exactly where the vehicle was located. That was annoying, but it gets even better. I now have a much more serious problem: since mid-April, the C-HR has now switched to emergency operation four times in full drive on the motorway, so that you can only try to get to safety at a reduced speed. Visit 1 in the car dealership: misignition on the third cylinder – we exchange an ignition coil visit 2 in the car dealership for safety reasons (3 months late). r): Misignition on the third cylinder – 1 week troubleshooting – Exchange of a supposedly defective vacuum box I may pick up the car, go and think: it is by no means repaired, it will stop again soon. Incident 3 (two weeks after the allegedly defective vacuum box has been changed): in the morning in professional traffic, the C-HR switches back to emergency operation. The car house picks up the car on the motorway parking lot and gives me a replacement car, which I will take the same evening This is now 14 days ago and Toyota Germany is silent about this problem. What I know is that the car is now in the Toyota test center. I find it an extremely bad information policy of Toyota, customer friendliness equal to zero and much worse I find it that the Toyota Autohaus has allowed me to continue driving with a trafficless car. How are your experiences with the C-HR and Toyota Germany?

  • The presentation thread – HERE everyone can imagine

Sers, after I complained to Mirco-S-H about the closure of the performance thread with this PN Quotation: Sers Hr. Moderator, a pity the MT is so impersonal and the performance thread closes. Kalr becomes confusing at some point, but if you pinned a single thread “Here you can imagine” in every subforum at the very top, the confusion would already be contained. ………… Rainy greetings from Bavaria. • Retrofit: Recaro driver seat or ASS and soot particulate filters

Hello everyone, I play a little with the thought of changing my driver’s seat through a Recaro seat or ASS car seat, there is someone who has already done something like that or has played with the thought and in the end is still afraid of the costs! 😉 I would like to have a retrofit seat with side airbag, since I drive between 45,000 and 50,000km in the year, it would probably be worthwhile, the original Mondeo seat in itself is not too bad, but for Back, for thigh support and for better ergonomic adjustment you might want such a seat of Recaro or ASS!? Furthermore, I ask for information about soot particulate filters, costs and general opinions! Sincerely, Poldi76
