  • Buying advice Mini Cooper Automatic

Dear forum, after having struggled with me for several years, my decision has finally matured to give me a mini (as a second car), as long as I as an old bag do not make myself completely ridiculous in such a car. At times I have thought of living out my midlife crisis to the fullest and at least to buy a Cooper S, if not a JCW, but then reason has won: I cannot keep such a poison dwarf in line with species and as a second The Mini should replace a Skoda Fabia with 110hp and be used especially in daily commuting to work, with urban traffic and speed-limited motorway sections. Therefore, the choice has fallen on a Cooper automatic. Now my research has revealed the following alternatives: 1. New car can be paid in by the dealer, no attractive cash price or financing/leasing offers 2. Vario-Finanzierung übe r Sixt: For mini-ratio at present quite cheap (total purchase price after the end of the financing still slightly below the cash offer of the local dealer) No payment possible 3. EU cars from the well-known EU dealer: Also cheaper than local trade but hard to understand price list. Apparently the EU cars have a different standard equipment and not all extras are configurable. No payment. 4. Young used from the local trade. Mostly little attractive, Since minis are good at maintaining value and most offers have full hut, with many extras that I don’t want to pay (especially don’t want to pay) and which are used hardly cheaper than an individually assembled new car. However, there are currently also a large number of young, used minis that have apparently run as a rental car and are marketed quite cheaply. I wouldn’t have a problem with the rental car past. However, these vehicles have largely only accountants. I realize that I have to make the decision myself and I will do it myself, but I would like to have a picture of your mood and perhaps even a suggestion, which I have not yet thought about or which possibilities I may have missed so far. Thank you in advance.

  • Metal ring of transmission belt disc has dissolved

Hello together, I’m new here, just registered, 44 years old, male and live in Wuppertal/NRW – When I shot a ruffle on my 1991 HD Softail yesterday, I heard a strange grinding noise. I couldn’t locate it directly and thought it was coming from another vehicle. I drove on and then noticed the noise comes from my pock, towards the primary box, or belt wheel. I felt a loose sheet metal part with my hand. Right home into the garage and my Monteu r. My dealer had no idea what that could be, so I looked at such a belt wheel in the Zodiac catalogue and you can see an upright sheet metal ring on the belt wheel and it is now clinging loosely between primary box and belt wheel! Unfortunately, we have only a month or longer the possibility to get the bike with a trailer, so my question: Can I drive with the loose ring about 25km slowly over land road or run I risk that something is blocked and I n Break your neck? If you think logically, it would have to be fine, because the metal ring turns along and only grinds on the toothed wreath and not on the belt…..what do you mean??? Thanks for feedback and greetings from W.-Tal Andi PS: The moped is too nice to ride flat, they drive now almost 20 years, send in a picture next time! Thank you

  • Per iridium candle

Hello, there are already Iridium threads here, but they are so, sometimes so out, so here’s my current report: [Introductory: I don’t work for NGK, also not for other accessories industry and have even materially absolutely NIX of this recommendation, but set it anyway, is just my experience, maybe other forum participants also think in this direction (but can only speak for mine, as is with injectors – no idea)]. Was a little dissatisfied n with the warm start behavior of my carburetor FXDX, she also sometimes swallowed herself during constant drive. Had voucher for accessories provider and me decided to redeem this (in the absence of the not exactly luxuriant offer with HD parts) for the not exactly favorable (with Aunt Louise ́s there ́s the just in the offer: 12.95Euro/St.) NGK Iridium candles (DCPR-7EIX at TC88). I installed it yesterday, the result is quite concise according to my current knowledge: nachvo llzugbar improved cold and warm start behavior, clean passage without swallowing and – somehow it does not run as rough as before. Does not want to recommend it to the general public now (never change a running system), but with me they have brought the desired effect.

  • Selling or slaughtering Mini Cooper with gear damage?

Hello all, I’m desperate. My beloved Mini Cooper, not driven for 3 years, EZ 05 and 126,500 km, now has a transmission damage. Cost point including clutch and installation at a friend: 2000 €. That’s insanely much money for me and I don’t know if it would be worthwhile for me and the Mini. I’m very likely to sell it. Now my question: how can I still make the most money with it. 8,500 €. Whatever comes, I have a huge loss

  • Penalty Tüv

Good day, I hope I’m in the right category. I was on my way to the workshop for Tüv with the motorcycle. Due to a prolonged illness, I missed the Tüv appointment for about 1 year and 2 months. 500 meters before I was at the finish, stood a policeman who was securing the road because of an accident. This policeman must have seen me. Came today a letter from the Landratsamt that I was traveling with a vehicle where the Tüv passed over 1 year. Now I should say……. I read that there can be a fine of 75 euros and 1 point. Have you had similar experiences? MfG Baehr

  • Audi R8 V10 Plus vs. TTRS Plus – Purchase decision after test drive?

(Sorry, first post and posted right at the beginning in the wrong forum – good start… But now in the right place. ) Hi, I’ve been an enthusiastic Audi driver for a few years and will soon be able to afford a car that I’m particularly looking forward to. My first sports car. I would have a few questions for everyone who knows about it. I now made the first test drive three weeks ago: Audi TTRS Plus. I have to admit that I expect a little more h My dealer has now told me that I should rather test the R8 V10 Plus. Of course it costs a lot more, but it will probably be more in line with my wishes. Now it is the case that some forums / tests etc. that I have read, have not noticed such a big difference at all or at least do not understand the much higher price. Is that really so? What do you think about it? On the one hand, I like the R8 from the optics much better than the TTRS Plus. On the other hand, one thing surprised me a little bit with the TTRS Plus. He gave me the impression that he was usually a little “lahm” from below, or when giving gas took about a second, until really something came. Is that so normal and is that different with the R8? How are your experiences? I would just like to know. On Friday it is so far with the test drive and the Wa I have until Monday, so I can test it nicely. Extremely positive with the TTRS Plus I found his “everyday fitness” – No matter if 30 zone or country road, the part was partly like a golf, if you wanted to. I only know the R8 with R-Tronic, I found it more than unsightly in everyday life and the jerking was there and was also at low speeds and in the city rather unsightly. That should probably be better with the S-Tronic, right? In addition, it would be nice if someone had an idea ha t which route (Landstraße, partly highway, mountains, serpentines, etc.) you can drive around Frankfurt. Odenwald will certainly be nice, have you any other ideas where it is nice mountainy and you can possibly drive along a lake etc.? Wouldn’t want to race, beautiful landscapes and serpentines would be my favorite. I would still have another question: My dealer requires almost 1,000 euros for the weekend (in case you wouldn’t buy the car then) – Is that so norma l? At Porsche, it didn’t cost me anything at all last year. Don’t get me wrong now, of course I’d love to pay if I didn’t buy the car, but I’d just like to know if these are normal prices and procedures. Thanks for the answers!

  • Auto-Greenhorn seeks commuter vehicle

Dear experts, I’m afraid I’m starting to despair about the car question. Soon I’ll have to commute about 35,000 km a year because of my job, most of the route is motorway. At the moment I’m driving a small car with 60 hp (petrols) – in itself I’m very satisfied, but on the highway it’s quite a torture (I see the PS as problematic, but worse is actually the low weight) and I really want to increase myself. solid car (of course nobody can guarantee you something, bad luck can always be had), which does not always cause problems. I am already ready to have a diesel with more than 100 hp. From age I thought about 5 years and no more than 60,000 km. I have already looked at BMW 1 Series, VW Golf, Audi A3 (all as 5-doors). Audi is actually above my budget of 13,000 / 14,000 €. If someone has a hot tip for me, which car noc h could come into question or should one of my previous favorites rather be deleted? Thank you very much!

  • Need help with family car search: car for me – voucher for one of you

Good evening, since my wife soon gets her child and I really need a family car and the Citroen C5 is too tight in the back and many certainly in the old thread (http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…-rueckbank-or-7-seater-t5930156.html ) have lost the overview in the old thread, I would like to give the search a new spice now. Because I got so much help that I would like to horny this too if someone helps me to find a vehicle. So if someone helps me something I will send an Amazon voucher to the person who posted it. Here again my requirements: – fuel: petrol – seat distribution would be child (7) only seat increase, child (3) child seat and child (unborn) then first baby shell and later child seat. It would be great if all children had the same seat share. I don’t think about e inem VAN or something like that. – Isofix would be good – budget is 2000-2500 Euro – In Berlin or around Berlin, also further away, if the offer is worthwhile – checkbook would be great – at least 12 months TÜV I will of course also look at Mobile.de and Ebay classified ads and so on and will post ads here and hope for opinions.

  • Langer Lulatsch is looking for suitable 35KW machine

Hello motorcycle friends, I am 44 years young and have been driving a Maxiscooter Piaggio X9 125 for years, because I made the driving licence class 1b at the age of 16 years. Now I can finally get up on the A2 ticket cost-effectively and am looking for a motorcycle suitable for me at the moment. Yesterday I went to the BMW dealer full of anticipation and sat my desired machines F/G 650/700/800 GS once sample. But I was very disappointed. Although the seat heights for my body size of 2m were completely pleasant, but not the knee angle. Despite the thickest seat in each case, the trousers were already tugging in the knees. I overcame the thick windshields on the handlebars by far. Why does a German manufacturer build so high motorcycles, which then only fit for small people? Or am I here perhaps just too spoiled by the large scooter? The C600 large scooter from BMW fits at least perfectly – I could lay down the legs pleasantly, sat far enough behind and the disc was sufficient nd high for me. But I didn’t really want a big scooter, especially not for more than € 10,000,–. Do you have a tip for me which motorcycle would fit well for my length in the 35KW class? Or do I need to get a stronger scooter? Look forward to your tips… Greetings Michael
