Hello I recently performed a gear oil change than before and afterwards (worse) when I switch in D or R it just takes good 2 seconds, and I have to say it just annoys no matter where you have to turn you stand first with backward light and it flies the walk in sometime.. that’s not normal the one from the workshop it means is normal, as if something like that was built?

Compression test OM642
Hello, I would like to do a compression test on my OM 642 in a ML 280 from the year 08. A corresponding test set is ready. Is there something special to consider or does someone have tips and tricks that are important? Especially I would be interested in the following. I had seen a post once. May be that this was on YouTube. Here a compression test was carried out and remote controlled with a button of the engine. Unfortunately, I can’t find this post any more. Can I just remember that the button was probably connected in the fuse housing in the engine compartment. Does anyone know how to do that?

A beast like that
such a cattle at Mazda 323 f (BG) the marten has snapped at cooler hose it is the hose that runs under the injection system, connection between heat exchanger (heating) and engine has got a hose con scraping place was nee sciss work while expanding the work is actually the same as with the cylinder head expand, complete wire harness, fuel line, suction tube etc must be removed to add to the scissor hose for decades nibble the martens on cool hoses, ignition cables. many times etc I have the impression that the manufacturers intend to use such a hot rubber mixture so that the martens then nibble so that the manufacturers can then sell their first parts at auction

Piston tipper at 997 2nd generation
Apparently, there are the engine problems of the 1. 997 generation also with models built after 2008. I have my 997S, built in 2009, just delivered with rattling engine noise at the PZ. The noise occurs in idle mode and under load, in sliding mode less to no at all. Power is still quite present. Since I noticed the noise, I don’t like to try it anymore. The Porsche technician typed after the first listening on a piston tipper. Now the engine is endoscoped. If the suspicion is confirmed, 3 repair possibilities were offered to me: 1. Installation of a new part engine, i.e. two new crankcase halves, new pistons etc. 2. Installation of a completely new engine 3a. Use of cylinder run bushings by an engine repair operation 3b. One engine repairer thought that there might be pistons with an oversized size, which can be used after honing the cylinders. My question to the community: Has someone already made similar experiences with this engine and are 3a and 3b serious options?

Ignition lock VW Crafter
One of our craters has already been left with defective ignition lock for the second time within two months. The key can no longer be turned in the lock. According to the VW workshop, the ignition lock has been changed during the production. We got an old lock during the first exchange action. We have two other crafters, all from 207, these two had no problems until now. The vehicles are always started with the same key. The spare keys are always in the vault. Are you aware of any problems from this direction?

Truck import from USA
Hello friends, I am interested in an older truck (only tractor) from America. Prices would be fine. Questions: 1. How does a transfer to Germany blow off, i.e. from a U.S. state in the interior to one of our domestic ports ? (shipping possibly in container?) 2. What does that cost about ? So if necessary I fly and drive with it to the next coast. But I am of course looking for the cheapest solution. 3. Should an on-site inspection of the truck take place absolutely, at a purchase price of approx. 5000 to 10000 €, despite exemplary picture documentation and description of the condition? How much can one trust the American vendors? I calculate anyway with costs for a certain “restoration”. In principle I am stupid, in Germany I lay myself under every car intended for purchase and now I want to buy the cat in the bag. 4. How high is the cost for an upgrade to German StVO (illumination, journey recorder etc.) So, still nothing is fix, I only sammüße me so practical tips.
