  • R230 SL350 230.467 – Multicontour seat / Lordosis without function

    Hello all, on my 230,467, no adjustment can be made on both sides via the switch of the multi-contour seats. The seat adjustment is without problems. I hear something clacking in the seat when switching – think it could be the valves. The small plug is connected to both switches. Furthermore, there is a pressure line with integrated in the cable harness at the switch. This pressure line is not connected on both sides. In the area I also find no connection possibility. Who has information for me, how is the system built up, from where comes the pressure, where sit the components, on what is to be paid attention? Thank you and greetings Willy

    Hi, yesterday I had the opportunity to test the new engine. A short impression: I had my last three-cylinder experience in the Corsa C, all the more astonished I was about the quietness of the running. Until 4000 revolutions the engine runs very calmly first you hear the three-cylinder growl almost sporty. To swim with the normal one you actually never need to turn over 2500. However, the motörchen does not resist high speeds and rewards itself when turning out with an extra punch from approx. 4500 revolutions. On the highway you can comfortably swim with 160. When the track was free the digital tacho stopped at 207. The average consumption on the 75 kilometers has slipped in with 6.7 liters given that I have often tried out the full speed band I think in order. The only thing where I had to get used to was the noise when the engine started running again after the amp. Here you notice at the first moment the missing 4 cylinder. Conclusion: Finally the Adam gets the engine he long deserved: splashy, fun and at that time too.

    Hello together, after a few years without a car it should become with me now again an Opel – I am only not sure which one. To the selection are 2 annual cars at the same price – 1 x Opel Adam Jam (69 hp), 1x Opel Corsa Color Edition (101 hp). Both cars are very similar from the equipment – the Adam has a less on the tacho (7,000 km, Corsa 22,000 km), but has the Corsa sports suspension and parking aid. Any tips? The car is especially for the city traffic – but again and again has to be briefly on the highway. However, you should (rarely) survive a longer motorway route (600 km to the home).

  • Mercedes Benz CLK (C209) or SL 350 (R 230)?

    Hy Community! I would like to buy a new but used Mercedes for myself. I would like to buy either a Clk (4 o. 6 cylinders) or a SL 350 (most probably from year 04) My big question is: Is an SL so much more expensive in maintenance (especially repair costs) than a comparable, or a slightly weaker CLK? According to my previous research, the differences in the costs of car tax and insurance are quite small (e.g. CLK 280: tax 202€, insurance 554€/year – SL 350 tax 256€, insurance 593€/year). And when it comes to consumption, the difference between two cars equipped with six cylinders should not actually be large either. So my final question: Why CLK drive if the SL is obviously not much more expensive? (loss of value and the benefits of a four-seater and a two-seater left out) Would I be very happy if one or the other might be able to help me with this big decision with his knowledge and experiences.
