  • Hardtop Color

    HI, I have a little problem. I was offered an almost new hardtop for 200€, but in silver which doesn’t quite fit my black roadster. Now I want to have the black paint that costs me 100€ with a buddy. Who offered me for approx. 100 – 150€ to embellish the hardtop with graffiti. Would you do something like that??? Maybe flames that continue on the side windows? Or what kind of motive would you take? Unfortunately, this can’t be quite pictorial for me. That’s why I need some tips.

  • Front Axle Knack-Knack

    For some time now I had an annoying cracking/dicking in front right. Was not really locationable. As it got stronger today and we are going on tour on Friday, I looked up quickly. It turned out that fine stones were lying in the groove of the crossbar and had done full work around the rubber from the bar support. The upper rubber was a little gnawing and the bar support could work a little. In addition, the ball head of the rod support at the top of the Stabi is suspiciously smooth. I think I was changed at about 80,000 km – and is of course due again. I then made a short test drive earlier. Hubbly track and the serpentine track at the end of the village – almost nothing more to hear. Now I’m going to get probably order Powerflex replacement at Speedparts in Sweden. I’m really tired of building inferior parts.

  • After a workshop stay, the car stutters while stopping/rolling out …..

    Was in the workshop and the exhaust manifold cat was replaced as well as cylinder head newly installed, all in all around the 2,800,– EUR and now the following: Immediately when driving home, when stopping at the first traffic light the engine stutters (when rolling out), the body shakes powerfully and the car almost drains when I leave the brake slightly (light still red) and the car rolls it slowly away. The whole thing then happened almost every time while braking, on the 2nd day still but long nic It happens as often as the day before, then days 3-4 only sporadically, but it still happens. Especially when I go down into the underground garage it happens every time (car tilts forward into the driveway while I open up). What can that be? It also happens when I stand at the traffic light after about 3-4 minutes, briefly stuttering, paired with powerful shaking of the body and then sometimes sink down, sometimes slightly roll up and is gone. Does anyone have any idea?

    Hello together. I have a question. Maybe I sell my car but have no idea what I still get for it. Even the DC handle looked stupid. It is a : W 126 / AMG 560 SEL 200 tkm full equipment, small and large highlights: 6.3 l (AMG, so actually no 560 anymore) 473 HP Hydropneumatic suspension (goes at 120, 4 cm down remains comfortable. In fast curves it also goes down but gets hard ) From 0-100 in approx. 6.1 s Vmax approx. 320 km/h rear no bank special n electrically adjustable single seats Navigation System Becker Traffic … again what Bose Sound system As I said, I don’t know if I should give it there are not very many driving around (have not seen one yet). It is in all details something different like the normal W126 and what there is more beautiful (just so on the edge) than to pull off a new Porsche 911 at the traffic light ) I hope you can help me. P.S. The car is 100% original. No afterbearable widening etc. simply Unders Tatement. Inside a Bose plant was installed but everything looks original !   • Boxing hum when giving gas

    Hiho….I have a question….I used to install an old MP3 radio from roadstar (yes, how gruesome I know…) until I saved enough for a new sweetheart…..but when I started to give gas, I had funny buzzing (or whistling), which gets louder with increasing speed….what could it be? it never had before with the radio….as soon as you step into the coupling it disappears….as soon as I turn off the radio… So it’s definitely coming out of the boxes…but… WHY??? does that have something to do with the in-vehicle voltage or something? hope someone can help me….

  • Dealers/clusters or crooks???

    A little story where at the end the question arises buddy or crook??? Names are invented freely, only the story corresponds to the truth. Let’s call the dealer Andreas, the buyer we call Carsten. Carsten buys various car-hifi articles from Andreas over months. Everything goes well, the two understand each other well and both consider themselves as buddies Andreas admits Carsten also discounts on his orders!!! Then Carsten orders several high-quality C ladders, which are delivered promptly by Andreas. Unfortunately, after the installation, a cable probably has a defective one. Carsten returns the cable with the please for exchange. Four weeks pass without what happens since Andreas the cable has not sent back to the manufacturer. Carsten orders from Andreas still artificial leather and glue. In addition, Carsten (who has very little time) asks Andreas what it would cost if he incorporated the tweeters into the A-pillar. And reas makes an offer among buddies in the amount of 130,- without invoice!!! Enquiries from Carsten at various dealers result in an average price of 90,- with warranty and invoice. Meanwhile 7 weeks have passed and Carsten slowly gets angry because of the cable, leather and glue. Andreas answers that he would also be angry at the manufacturer. He doesn’t have any leather yet, only the glue could already have Carsten. Carsten answers: Why are you mad at the herst eller? The cable was around with you for the first four weeks before you sent it to the manufacturer. And as a dealer he would probably have to learn a lot about it. I don’t have to say that, buy your stuff where else answered Andreas. Carsten then called the manufacturer of the cable to explain the location to him…….and two days later the cable was from the manufacturer. Carsten did the same with the manufacturer of the leather and glue, even here everything was there after two days. for this?????? Friend or crook??? Does this dealer really not have to learn anything about it??? Greeting Mica

    It’s me again .. Have as good as a VW Fox 1.2. My question is now with which means you can get power from the 55hp? I know that this is a 3 cylinder engine and I know that you can’t get 200hp out of the engine, but there will certainly be some things like that. So what I have to buy so far is a sports exchange filter. Please for your help. xPload

  • Idle with the SLK R171 350

    Hey! Is the clacking normal? With gas recording it disappears and only appears in idle mode. (no matter if the engine is warm or not the noise does not change) I have seen several YouTube videos and some have not. Some say it is normal again.. I can’t really believe that.. Be sure to change to 5w-40 soon.. maybe it will help. Listen to the video and add your mustard! Important basic data: SLK 350 R171 Built. 2004
