Hello, my father-in-law bought a Clio petrol with automatic (EDC) last fall. He was already in the workshop for the 3rd time, because the car always rolls back when starting on slopes. Now I drove the car today test and had to find that the part is really not quite OK. If you go off the brake on a slight slope, then the car drives up slowly, then you type the brake briefly, then the drive is over (it is disconnected) And the car rolls back until you give gas again or just brake. I find that very worrying, that the car rolls back in position “D” in the ’empty run. Even if you drive on the mountain and walk off the brake and give gas, then you roll back something first. That’s still to be done, you have to use the hand brake just like with hand-operated control. The endless rolling back in the idle run although the engine runs and the lever stands on “D” I find difficult to worry about. The master confirmed to me that this is unfortunately the case, because the car does not have a converter transmission and is normal for the double clutch transmission. One has also dispensed with the start-up aid or otherwise a “HOLD” system with the model. Is it possible that someone can confirm this or does the car have a fault after all? This is annoying for drivers who have been driving automatics for a very long time and have not been informed about the disadvantages. A seller even meant the car ha t no real automatic. The less I understand, then, that you put something like that in a customer who has been driving Renault with automatic for years.

How do you detect wear?
Aloha, my car had run during the inspection one month ago (70000km, mostly foresight driven, so let it roll and slow down little). When I picked up my car, the technician said that some of my car had to be made. Brakes were completely down at the front –> have to be new crossbars would be both scrap –> have to lick new shock absorbers at the back –> have to be new Since I didn’t notice anything about it and after a few posts here in the forum for a not good hold, I wanted to know: what can I, as layman, recognize/check whether the above mentioned parts are really already closed? Thank you and greeting reefton

Turbocharger charge pressure surplus
Good evening, have a question: the following scenario: You drive by car (motor charged with turbo) and go off the gas at full gas. Therefore the turbocharger continues to rotate. However, since the throttle valve is closed, an overpressure would now arise in the compressor side and slow down the turbo, or possibly destroy it? 1.) How is the excess charging pressure reduced? Have already researched a bit and am now at the following level. Please correct if what f thanch is. Blow-off valves are installed, which simply let the charging pressure out into the open (hence the hissing of the whole tuned carts). But is ineffective because the turbo has to return to speed at the subsequent gas. Thus a turbo hole arises again. But there are apparently also so-called thrust air valves, which hold the loader at speed with a certain circuit. 2.) Can anyone explain this to me more precisely? Is it too complicated for me on all the other sides :/ 3.)Which principle is used with conventional vehicles? 4.) Is there a difference between petrol and diesel engines? I also read that it is somehow no use with diesel engines. Don’t understand why … Thanks already in advance!

Mini R56 lack of construction Rectangular rings on the camshaft
Hello Mini Fans. I’m new here and thank you already for every answer to my topic. Apparently it can happen that the rectangular rings on the camshaft enter and damage the storage shells. Figure 1 to 3. The sharp-edged closures of the rectangle ring could be the reason for this damage image. As a result, the flow of the oil in the direction of the camshaft and an error message to the vanos. As the outlet camshaft with the lower half is located in the cylinder head dadu As a result, the cylinder head has to be replaced completely. The rectangular rings are no longer used in the shape originally made of hardened metal and today, plastic rings are used which can no longer cause any damage of this kind. Figure 4. Since there was no recall action, I would be interested to know that someone has been aware of this problem or even had similar damage. Eicht has someone’s professional knowledge 🙂 Not without reason does BMW no longer use these metal rectangle rings, right? I would also be very pleased about a PN in this context. Greetings from Berlin.

Citroen Xantia vs. Audi A 3
Hello! I have to tell you, yesterday I drove our company car again, an Audi A3 TDI (2 or 3 years old). I really wonder why this car sold so well. It has very uncomfortable and hard seats, springs bad, has a bad road position (at least compared to the Xantia) and has a very noisy diesel engine. Admittedly, my Xantia is already a number bigger, but at least 7 to 8 older and makes everything really better (except for the I used to drive a Peugeot Coupe with a diesel engine, which was much quieter than the Audi. How do you see it? Do you think I’m exaggerating? So, now you can stone me! Greetings J-P

A3 Sportback (which engine)
Would like to learn more about the 170 HP TDI. Who drives it and praises or blasphemes about the engine. How does it behave in the city, in everyday life?

Processing time Addition B196 BW
Good day together, I applied 5 weeks ago for the extension of my driving licence B with the addition B196. At this time I was not given the possibility of an express delivery. (despite the demand for a possibility to get it faster). Now after 5 weeks still no way to drive and the waiting may take another 5 weeks. What can I do, who can contact in order to exercise something “pressure”? She always refers only to the federal printing company, that it is in progress and you can do nothing. I would be pleased about your experiences. A bit of frustration letting off did good greetings.
