    Hello Motor-Talk-Gemeinde, since one month I am proud owner of an Audi 80 GL, 1.8 L carburetor engine 66 kW without cat, from 1983. Practically no rust, engine runs well. You don’t notice his age 😉 Of course some questions appear gradually. Maybe you can answer one or the other. 1) Which fuel? Somehow I remember that I saw a picker with “Super Plus” during the test drive. Because at the petrol stations with us in the environment no Super Plus at all, but only this 100 octan, I have filled this last time. However, because this goes strong in the wallet, I wanted to ask if really Super Plus is proposed. At that time the fuel will not have been so good or? 2) Lead replacement According to the previous owner and his brother (17 years owner of this car, Audi 80/90-Freak) give in every third tank filling lead replacement. Does this fit like this? 3) “Knirschen” the switch on the amatur board First there I would say that the tacho would “whistle/knirschen”. Today, however, I noticed that it is the switches on the left (especially the light switch). Can you do something about it?   • Fixing points in garage floor (soil)?

    I want to make fixing points in my garage floor for fixing ramps. The floor is tiled on screed. Of course I can just dowel and screw it up. But the ramps should of course only stand if necessary and if I take them away there should be neither a hole because of dirt (it is already sawn in the garage), nor a screw head or similar survive over which one stumbles.. Does anyone have an idea how I can realize this?   • Alarm system and smoke detectors with Internet connection searched

    Hello together, the following situation: A somewhat remote hall should be monitored with an alarm system, which transmits an alarm to a mobile phone app (so that you can also get the alarm). In the conversation was a Luxone system for building automation (but is almost a bit overkill). Maybe someone has done this before and has a tip for me. PS.     Moin. I would like to buy a Skoda from the dealer. First registration 08/2021 with 20000km on the speedometer and an almost full equipment. The dealer would like for this 15000 Euro – I find however for the age of the vehicle the SOH of the battery with 91% quite low. Since I have no experience, this is a good value or rather bad?     Hello together !!! I have the following problem with my MT8. At the lower speeds and when it is cold, it runs normally. But if I give you a short full load for acceleration or drive at high speed, then it runs quite funny. That sounds like if it is somehow throttled. If I go off the gas or give only half gas, then it turns normally up. The candle is also always full of black soot after driving. That’s why I wanted a candle with However, a Götz employee advised me not to do that. He said that the mill or engine could get too hot. According to the workshop manual, however, a spark plug would still have to go up to a degree of thermal value. At the moment I had a NGK BR8HS and a NGK B8HS in it. At the second one one might think that it is better. However, not so right. In the past, there was a Bosch W3AC in it. However, it doesn’t make any more sugar. OK, it’s also 12 years old.
