  • Need help with used car purchase, diesel or gasoline?

    Hello all, I want to buy a used one, currently tend to an Astra Caravan, specifically Built 09, 78000 km, Diesel, costs around 7500 €. But I am now uncertain because of this particle filter history. I’m actually only driving short distance to work, just about 15 km, sometimes further but rarely highway. Does a diesel make sense? Or do I have to expect to have a clogged filter soon? Maybe a stupid question, but I don’t know much about the whole thing. Kram, has always known everything my husband, but unfortunately there is no more…I have to leave his company car in two weeks. At the moment I drive an Alto, which is just too small as a main car, therefore the search for a station wagon. What do you mean? Thanks already for your tips. 🙂

    I’m about to build a carport. since I want to get a caravan at any time, my question. How high are your caravans?? Outside dimensions of course. I would already have space up. My tarpaulin hanger is 2.40 meters high. Would 2.5 meters be enough???

It “schappert” / “klackert” from the engine room (hearable in the cab and from the outside) at the beginning for a short time when I start the engine. When driving myself I hear nothing more about it. Even if the engine is already warm, this noise no longer comes at the start. The following current scenario: – I am currently in Crete – The car has 101,000km on it – Oil change (incl. filter) was at 90,000 1 year car guarantee (by sale at the dealer) runs until 14.01.2022. -> About this can be saved % with the material, as well as complete personnel costs Question 1: How can I check as a layman whether the noise comes from a loose part or the engine has taken damage? I can pay for the smaller repairs (as well as wear parts) from my own pocket. Question 2: Should an appointment be agreed at a dt. Peugeot specialist workshop before expiry of the guarantee, in order if necessary the Re Question 3: Can the repair by the specialist workshop of Mir as customer be refused if the costs are too high? So only the analysis will be taken over. Question 4: Does jmd know a good Peugeot specialist workshop in the area Swabian Alb?   • Twingo II (2012) – completely powerless

    Moin, I now had twice the experience of total powerlessness. After driving and turning off the Twingo, i.e. ignition off and via remote control I want to close the vehicle short time later – but nothing there. Over keys open, ignition tries – nothing, no electricity, no interior lighting… So – battery tested, was fully charged, fuse box opened, all chic. Cigarette smoked, prayed to the Twingo god, once ran around the vehicle. I wanted to suppress the “appearance” in the aftermath but yesterday “It” re-emerged.   • TWINGO III (2015), 71PS : door locking ?

    Dear Twingo III friends, a friend has been driving a 71hp petrol for 8 years (Bj 2015). Since Sunday, however, the radio remote control FFB no longer works. I renewed the battery (CR2016, 3V) yesterday. The old one only has 2.4V . Nevertheless, without success, the central locking system no longer works. Until I have found the cold soldering point on the FFB board and soldered it, I would like to ask for your assessment: Is there any possibility with the Twingo III, if you like Fnet driver’s door, by pressing the central locking button on the dashboard once, to lock all the other 4 doors simultaneously? Then the driver’s door could be mechanically locked by key and everything would be good. PROBLEM: Without working TWINGO III radio remote control in the driver’s key obviously all 5 door locks will remain OPEN, can that be wanted ? On holiday e.g. this would be extremely unfavorable ..   • Trunk lighting Twingo 2

    Hello, together I changed from Twingo 1 R06 to Twingo 2 ! Since the old one had no climate ! But the new one had to find out no trunk lighting smaller trunk, no divided rear seat which is not foldable like the old complete and glove compartment is also dark.Now you think, if you buy a successor model the proven constructions are taken over! Room Wonder Twingo 1! Unfortunately this is not exactly the same, Twingo 3 engine back and even smaller suitcases I don’t wonder for a long time that the car industry is slowly but surely going down the road. Hope that the successor will be just as expensive a companion as the old one!

  • No oil, engine damage, spark plugs, why?

    Evening, I went to the car of my night-beavers earlier. Problem was that the spark plugs had probably already 60,000 down and there was no oil to be seen on the oil stick. So spark plugs out, 2 of them were completely gone (outside poles vebrannt), so he suddenly only ran on 2 cylinders and the other 4 still well worn. ALso 6 new spark plugs pure, oil filter changed, old oil sucked away I had no way to, so new oil refilled about 2.5 liters ;-). Is that normal, or was there really only so little oil in the engine? After that, I replenished and started oil to Max. The engine runs, but in my opinion with too little compression on the one cylinder. Is running restless and no mountain out of the way up. Can this now be due to too much oil in the engine (although only max on the bar), or is the cylinder head seal or piston ring burned and leaked due to the very low oil level? Could much I only got the car with push-on from the underground garage entrance, realz. LG

  • ForTwo Air Conditioning Problem

    Hello, I bought a ForTwo BJ 2004 from a Hämdöer (in September 2007). Now I switched on the air conditioner for the first time, since I never needed it before. The engine speed drops short, I think, a sign that the compressor has plugged in via the magnetic coupling. The air, which then comes out of the nozzles (of course turned on) is both at stage 1 and at stage 2 minimally cooler than the internal air (at the external temperature approx. 23 °C). You can’t talk about cold air at all. Is it normal that the greenhouse gas has already erupted after about 4 years? Does anyone have any idea what a refill costs? Do you have to do this at the smart center, or can you do it at a free workshop? Thanks Rambaldi

    Hello dear community! I usually come from the A3 range. My girlfriend has a Smart ForTwo Cabrio with steel rims since Saturday. Now should decent aluminums on it. We could get to the following quite cheap, but am not sure if they are not too big after all: DBV RE01 front 7.5×17 ET42 rear 7.5×17 ET42 hole circle 3×112 Included in delivery is an attachment set (distance discs?). The ET would then be at the front on 27 and at the back on 32. Too heavy or fits that in the Radkas If necessary, we should combine some subtle lowering springs from H&R. As an alternative we would have these rims: NIXXON Design “BALI” Front axle: 4,5×15 ET:23,5 Rear axle: 5,5×15 ET:22 These should fit easily, as an ABE is included. What do you say? Greetings! Fabe
