  • Toyota insurance recommended?

Hello together, I just bought a new Auris 2.0 D-4D. BJ2009. Since a diesel is already more expensive in insurance and tax by definition, I want to insure my new baby “good and cheap”. I thought about the Toyota own insurance. Currently I was born SF3 and on 19.03.81. What do you think? Does Toyota insurance recommend? Has anyone ever had experience with it? Here it says that there is a preferential tariff:http://www.toyota.de/cars/new_cars/auris/fs _versicherung.aspx whatever that means. I can’t use the online calculator right now, because I’m stuck in the middle of the calculation for some reason. MfG Laurooon

  • Leon Cupra ST 5F “First oil change… several questions….???

Hello dear FAN – municipality. Use your help or your experience! The following conditions: Leon ST Cupra 5F – first registration 01.04.2015 (day registration/exhibitor) Date of purchase 01.06.2015 2 questions to you: 1. Onboard computer showed me 30 days ago: “Oil change in 30 days”. According to my knowledge first oil change after a year or 20,000 km. My km stand: 4600!!! So: neither the year is full nor the 20,000 km and that at LongLife oil!!! I called the workshop. It was there today. There would be no mistake. Could be because I drive extremely short distance / Cupra mode. Drive the car but normal (first time in). So it would have to be changed oil and filter to get factory warranty. Then asked politely if I would drive to the Nordschleife in the summer, if he would have to change oil every 1000 km!!! That can’t be possible! 8 months and (as of today) 5400 km … and this with Longlife Oil! What can you tell me, or when did the model show you the first oil change/filter? 2. The bill! 58.60 € Wage – 5.7 L LongLife Oil – Filter = 258 € After what I read, 182 € to 210 €. What did you pay for the first oil change with filter? The same or did I end up in a “Hugo Boss” luxury workshop? I would be very pleased about your answers or experiences!!! Greeting Guido

Hello!!! I sold my car a month ago, the buyer has registered now and said that the car had accident and it is much worse than he thought, so he was also at the Reno and he has checked the far stuff thoroughly, what has turned out- the car had big accident damage and the costs exceed the total price. He meant that he wants to step back – Ok- I meant what should I do. Then he means na jaaa you know I already have a bump when parking back made about 300€ reperatur cost,( I haven’t seen the bump yet).He doesn’t see that so bad because he allegedly changed the brake and wedged and he also had the cost, so both cost are the same and he wants the whole money back and I get my car back with bump. • Expansion of the particulate filter

Hello Together, would like to expand my particle filter on the Peugeot 406 HDI FAP 2.2. Is there a removal instruction or one of you? After the removal I want to clean the particle filter through, now I have heard that the cleaning of the particle filter should take place by the exit in opposite direction, who can confirm this or help me with how the FAP is flushed correctly, or is there a working instruction for the washing process? Who of you has a FAP already cleaned by flushing how is the right example? Does what have to be reset on the software side after the assembly of the FAP? LG Markus

  • Nail in the tire – what repair procedure should I choose?

Hello together, I have a tiny nail exactly in the middle profile groove of my Michelin 225/55 R16 95V summer ice cream. Since the tire is from 2010 and still has about 7mm profile, I have asked some tyre houses for repair. I no longer look through there. The one plug, fill, glue and vulcanize then for an hour. The others mention a variant with a tip-top stopper system, whereby apparently a plate with stoppers attached inside, but not the spot/re again others only plug from the outside without dismantling the tire. I am not concerned here about costs, but about the best possible safety / quality. Which method should I choose? Thank you in advance for your advice. Michael

  • Conti Premium Contact II extremely loud from the rolling noises / NO saw tooth

Hi! I have now given my Dailydriver a supposed bargain, a set of turnarounds of a car dealership, as the owner probably converted shortly after the purchase to all-weather. It is Premium Contact II in 185/55/15 with DOT from the end of 2014. Profile is complete 7.5 mm and zero saw tooth is visible/feelable. The tires could also be pulled up super, were still very soft and two tires could be driven even without force weights. (adjustment to 0 grams!) The semperite with 2 mm profile and solid sawtooth were much quieter. I have already tried different air pressures and also changed the wheels in a way and diagonally. It remains with it. What now? The car dealership does not want to take them back, even if I still have no new ones and also hang on to the conversion effort. Martin

  • 1 thread recut

Dear Forum, unfortunately I don’t know about this topic at all and what I have read so far, the spirits diverge on this topic. I had a tyre change last week. (very late I know ) After the change the tyre fitter came to me and told me that we have a problem because there would be a screw missing, so 1 out of 5. I asked immediately how such a thing can be done. He then said that probably the rims should be stolen I believed that, of course, I didn’t know it better. Then, of course, I replied, if he didn’t have a new screw that he could have put in. He denied that. He then told me to drive directly to Mini and have a new screw turned in. I promptly did that but the screw didn’t go in anymore. The thread is broken, which can only happen with high force. Not by an attempted claw?! That would have me then 600€ approx. But why should the gentleman who changed the tires also draw attention to the problem? Does all this make sense? Since I brought the car to Smart Repair anyway next day, I asked there if they had an idea. They cut the thread after me, the screw is stuck again but if that is safe now? I have to say, I now have an insane panic that this can be dangerous on the highway. My car is an absolute Monta gsauto and I am really monthly in the workshop. There would now be 600€ as a medical student for me a catastrophe. I find it sad that people are like this. I fear that the gentleman from the workshop has done this. There was no one else on the tires and a tyre workshop has also sometimes such screws lying somewhere, I think at least. I asked that then also the next day in the workshop again at another gentleman, who tells me then also, that the s the usually have a box with wheel screws. Should I drive the thing again to a free workshop to have it checked? What would you advise me to do? Thank you in advance.
