Hello, I have a problem with the rear water connection to my ABT engine. It just doesn’t want to get tight. Although I have already used a new flange including new seal. Nevertheless, there is always some water out there and I want to ask if you can possibly use Hylomar for it. I also have some problems with the carburettor flange. So not the lower one. But with the paper seal that is in between, it is also not quite as dense. I would have to be able to use the rest of the Hylomar without any problems, right? How do I use Hylomar correctly? Both sides lubricate in? Although at the back of the engine, this is going to be damn difficult.

Upgrade Audi V6 2.6l ABC to Euro 2? Longer experience?
HI, wants to convert my Audi V6 2.6l ABC year 1994 from Euro1 to Euro 2 with a cold running controller from TwinTek. Can you save a lot of taxes… Now my question is there longer experience someone has had and can report about problems, idling fluctuations etc. Is the idling in the cold state changing? In the warm state the thing is out and has no influence anymore or? thank you

Aluminium flexible hose
Hello, let’s ask you a question about some parts in the engine compartment of my Audi 80 B4 (Bj. 9/91) 2,0 (ABT). I am absolutely ignorant in the field, yet I would like to know at least about this “decision” 🙂 To make it easier, I have attached a picture and the parts are labeled on which it is concerned. In fact: To the left of the air filter there is a plastic part (1) from which an aluminium flexible hose (2) leads over (3) to the air filter. What are (1) and (3) and what are they for? And what else vie l more interesting for me: Is there an alternative to the Aluflex hose? I have changed it already twice within 13 months and 25TKM and as can be seen in the picture, it is already over again. Or doesn’t it need it at all? (Well, then he probably wouldn’t be there 🙂 ) Thanks already in advance for your help and answers!!!

sale audio 80 B4
Moin leutz.. I wanted to hear your opinion about what you think I could still get for my B4. So bj is 07/92. Abk engine, 245 000km zz, ABS, sliding roof, fog lights. The front axle was completely restocked before 10000km (coupling rod, crossbar, track rod heads). before 3000km the engine was completely resealed, cylinder head planned 2 times, one-out channels polished, relais30 new, throttle flap poti new, bender changed because of cracked, cooler changed because of through tung, water locks and connection changed because of marten bites and resolution, temperature sensor new, encoder for cool water display new, tooth belt+water pump+kilter belt+kilter belt new, new ignition candles, original treser rear lights with entry, 16er BBS rims with 205 summer tires (2000km run) winter tires-2 have 2 seasons behind them, 2 still create an underfloor protection one year old… mengel he only has small rusts that could still be painted… what do you say? mfg erik

Fence and handlebars shot to pieces – what fits in?
Hello and good morning, yesterday in front of the right at least spring leg and cross handlebar shot me. I hammered quite flat on a curb edge, after a nice Audi colleague pushed me out of the track. Reflexive to avoid a collision… and you are already shooting up or against somewhere. Well, I snuck home with speed 30 and squeaking tires. Was just in the workshop… 1. Diagnosis: spring leg and cross handlebar flat! Well, (steel) Fel I didn’t want to ask about the suspension leg anymore :-D. I think that can ebay better. But the suspension leg is not so easy to get. At least I don’t find any, which is explicitly for 2.8 Avant Quattro. To what extent are the things compatible? So which spring legs can I take? At least that would increase the probability, so a part of it would be compatible. Maybe the feather legs from the 2.6 or from the years 94-97 or later also fit? Please help me quick. If someone wants to point me out to the Sufu now, because the topic was already posted 6.5 years ago…. sorry, I’m not in the mood for such discussions right now. I just need a competent advice quickly. Thanks in advance.

cylinder head gasket falsely incorporated? audi 80 b4
Halllo people, because my audio didn’t heat the engine at high speed I changed the thermostat and also the themperature sensor in the cooler. unfortunately, all this has brought nothing. standing he comes to his themperature so about 95 degrees opens thermostat. fans jump on. so I visited a workshop and the master says there was already changed the cylinder head seal, because above where the thick hose goes in on the engine goes such a real rust water drain n so where the black part sits and is fixed with 2 screws, the master meant the seal would certainly be such a cheap part from the ebay that he would see. there also a corner looks a little too much out of the seal. another meant it could also be the seal …My question: can this be if the seal is wrong to make any cleaners and the water does not circulate properly ? does that? normal is not. I really have the nose full. If someone had a guess I would be really happy.

How does the hood open? O.o.
Hi guys, I have a big problem with the Escort. The battery is so down that the wireless remote control doesn’t work anymore to unlock the doors and the door locks don’t work somehow out of principle. The car opens ONLY with remote control. Now I have to somehow get to the battery to unlock the car. How do I get there? I just bolted the radiator grille loosely from the outside, but it goes out completely net. I saw the lock and the rope train, but k I am grateful for every suggestion, but if there is another way to get there from below I am even more grateful ^^ My escort: Bj: 1995 Mk7, 1,6 16v, 3 doorr steep neck. Thanks in advance

Problem with speed / idle
Hello. For some time now my engine has been playing a bit crazy. Mostly when I step up the car a little bit more that means pulling the engine up to 3,500 turns and then the clutch kicks to switch, my speed remains constant to 3,500 turns, when all this happens then and I give even more gas e.g. to 4,000 turns the still constant remains, I let the clutch come back (when driving) the speed goes down to e.g. 2,500 turns and my car gives gas by itself ( And I don’t have a cruise control ) When I switch off the engine and start again it stops on its own gas. So that can’t be the cable train. I don’t know if that’s the throttle flap or if that’s my LLRV that’s packing around. Especially it’s enough if it’s a little colder that my car e.g. runs out at the traffic light or if the speed is going to drop or if I start it that the speed varies between 450 and 1,500 turns but after a time rests or can it be that the whole problem lies with my spark plugs? Have platinum spark plugs from NGK R, I don’t know more details. Lg, Dennis
