I switched on the highway yesterday (please don’t comment on this I hate myself anyway) and came instead in the 5th in the 3rd I of course immediately crossed the clutch again but… well, he was still in there for a short time and I lost almost 20kmh of speed. Now to the actual problem: Immediately after my mistake the car started to jerk and stutter, a friend in the car said that this was probably ignition failure. n nothing at all, it runs quietly and doesn’t sound abnormal (except for grinding if the clutch pedal is not kicked) Now I give it a bit of gas it swallows up as soon as the speed falls again, so it bubbling louder than usual, at least I imagine that. But when I was driving I have since this jerking, and today it has also stopped twice and was difficult to convince to jump again. Symptoms were thus as follows: Ignition drop-outs from about 4000 tours, dana he no longer accepted gas, the charging pressure indicator moves in GLD position but that is also the only thing that is doing. After that he only jumps extremely unwillingly. As soon as he is then he drives again but the ignition dropouts remain. What can it be? Please help me if you can, I despair slowly. P.S. Spark plugs and ignition cables exchange said a friend, but whom the candles would not ignite would he shake in the idling or? Oh yes, if I risk n am and I stop the engine normally (after 20 seconds or more, depending on the load), it starts immediately again. How does a fuelcut feel? Can there be something “shot” connected because of that? The car is EZ 90 and has a Lucas injection.

Why 900?
To revive the classic section of the SAAB forum a thread from me again. How do you see this: What makes a SAAB 900 so unique? Do you also have the impression of driving a very strong car? Would a new SAAB (as a used or new car) be in question for you? Or which other car would be a veritable successor for the 900er? What connects you to your 900er? So many questions, which look forward to many answers! In my case, in particular, the design and the engine sound make the difference to all other cars. I have always experienced the 900er as a reliable vehicle with certain peculiarities… As a successor or better supplement, the following models are considered for me: Volvo V70, SAAB 9-5, Alfa Romeo 156. Greetings with the hope of many contributions, beautiful stories and the like. Have fun.

Compliance with the service intervals of your motorcycles
Hello guys, I hope this is the right place for my little “survey”. I would just like to know how you keep all the service intervals (oil change, oil filter, inspection,…) of your motorcycles in time. Above all, I am interested in the opinion of people who have several motorcycles. If you have an enduro or something like that, which are more maintenance-intensive (collar change/cylinder change,… after X operating hours), you have to have quite a lot of things I’m curious about your answers! LG Edit: What interests me: How do you make sure that you don’t forget the maintenance. On several machines it can happen that you get confused with the intervals.

Biker greeting
I may have a stupid question.. Which is why only stupid answers and no stupid questions are given:-P I hear the biker’s greetings again and again in all Freds here.. that you only greet certain other bikers.. What is this related to? How do I decide who I greet and who I don’t? I don’t seem to have that yet.. I’m ignorant =( But I’m tickling a little bit now.. Yes, I can check wiki too.. but I think I’d rather hear your interpretation =) Greetings from Saarbrü notch

Instrument lighting only comes in with light.
Hello, how does it work in the up with the instrument lighting. Does not give a brightness controller. In the past, the lighting in the speedometer went on and off automatically, without having to use the light shutter. (Tunnel ride) What are the factors, where is the sensor sitting? Thank you in advance.

USA import arrived: Dodge Charger 1971
Hello everyone, for a week now he is on German ground – a ’71 Dodge Charger. His journey went from Los Angeles by truck to Houston, over the Gulf of Mexico he then came on the ship to Rotterdam. After 2 days of unloading ship and one day of handling, he was ready to pick up from 16.04.10. Everything went smoothly, all papers are completely available. He must be restored, but with this car it is always worth it. The Dodge Charger has a 383cui Magnum V8 engine (from 19 72 was no longer fitted. It has an automatic transmission (H-D A-727 TorqueFlite Trans / Some Years A-998). The speedometer shows 73700 miles. It has continuous benches, no seat belts (not yet installed at the time) and no power brakes (it has front/back drum brakes). It is red, the original paint was green with white vinyl roof. The interior is also red, original it was black. The engine is not running, but rotates and has good compression. 1967 Impala Help
Hello, I bought myself a 1967 Impala Sedan 4 Door (with B column) from the USA. Unfortunately the condition is worse than on the photos, what was to be expected. The substance is relatively good, hardly rust (from California). Now I am unsure how I should proceed most meaningfully and would be happy if someone had or had a similar experience or had a similar project. The car arrived fresh from the USA. He obviously has one at the rear times (larger? At the same time, the importer from Munich can also take over the restoration etc.. I’m just not sure how to do the best thing here. My planned procedure: 1. Have a technical inspection of the car and make H-deduction 2. After that let the body etc. look at and do work and painting Nothing against the US car dealer (until now only positive experiences) however, I would like to get other opinions as well what the S It would be my favorite thing if I could lay hands on myself, but I lack the necessary know-how. Someone from Southern Bavaria among you who starts a similar project? I would be happy about opinions or suggestions. Thank you Markus

Electrical tool searched
Hi, but a tool doesn’t know the English name. In the videos on YouTube ScannerDanner always uses a tool with which he basically picks up electrical cables similar to a needle and then measures the voltage. After the measurement the insulation of the pickled cable is sealed again. Does someone like the tool know about it. Video about it, starting at minute 19:13https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcQdITo_AOA

Carburettor problem Rochester Quadrajet?
Hi, I have a 305 engine here with Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. The car was standing for 3 years and ran in front. The car runs normally in idle, but has no power if you want to drive and does not turn up when driving. In idle, however, it does. However, if you put in a gear and give gas, the speed goes up for a short time and it goes off. But then it takes off and it has no power. Even if you give full throttle, it no longer turns up and only lasts the idle throttle. If, however, you “pump” with the accelerator pedal, it turns up and drives normally. It seems to me that it does not get enough petrol in driving mode. The short turning up after the initial gas giving or driving during the pump is probably thanks to the accelerator pump. I have built the carburettor down and disassembled it. But can not find any attached nozzles or similar. Does anyone have an idea where the problem could come from or what I look at more closely so The choke is not clamped and there are several blind plugs on the carburetor. Currently it is connected as follows (see photo 1). – 1: Gasoline supply – 2: Blindly laid – 3: Crankcase ventilation via valve cover – 4: Blindly laid – 5: Underpressure box Ignition distributor – Gearbox gets vacuum over the suction bridge Does the carburetor look from below original as on the 2nd picture? It looks a little like there were holes welded there. Best regards! Jens
