  • repeatedly defective ignition cassette

Hello, my 9000 2.0t (150 hp) Bj 1997, 133,000 km, suddenly no longer started 14 days ago: Ignition cassette defective (roughly burned). New part built in, ran wonderfully. After about 60 km again jerking while accelerating, always worse, hardly ran, until the engine completely went out. ADAC measured: When starting at the ignition cassette no rashes of the measuring instrument seen, smelled also probably a little burned. So: again ignition cassette! How can a new ignition cassette after 60 km defek again The ADAC man said: Saab never breaks (can I operate after 20 years), but the ignition cassettes are a known weak point. Is he right? Thanks for a helpful tip! Jens Baum

  • No more fun! (Meeting planning)

Because now the Vectra C & Signum Forum Meeting 2005 is planned in Rüsselsheim! When? The last weekend of August is planned, starting on Friday. Reasons for this are factory holidays 1st week of July to 3rd week of August and a planning lead. What are we going to do? That’s not certain yet, but I have a few things in mind that I still have to work out. But rather not exactly the same as last year. I think you could do the factory tour again, or we share the participants. If you want to take a look at the factory tour, you can do that, the other group can browse the shop, look at exhibitions or just entertain them well. Maybe there’s a better idea. After that – as actually planned last year – a small tour with photo shooting. I would not really be wrong for a 2-day meeting, unfortunately the weather made us a dash through the bill last year. On Saturday I think of a trip to a restaurant. how long? Depending on the mood and mood, the meeting can go 2 or 3 days, suggestions welcome. What do you think about it? Who comes? What should you do differently? edit : Intermediate counter : maximum 23 participants + possible accompaniment. MfG BlackTM

  • Headlight type?

Hello, my wife always gets the message “curve light error” with her 2013 Mokka X for some time. First the error sporadically came, but now he is always standing. If you have parked on a wall, then you see, when the car is opened up, how the light does the self-test, and exactly thereby the right headlight does not do what it should do. Because the right headlight only goes up and down and not to the left and right. Long speech, short meaning… e Headlights should probably be changed. Now I found out here in the forum that it should cost around 1000€. Much too expensive for such an old car. So at ebay classifieds searched and unfortunately found the same 2 different types (part numbers). 95386946 and 42344333 Does anyone know which is the right part number for the right headlight with xenon and bend light? (Unfortunately the stickers on your headlights are no longer legible, so looking has nothing g Thank you very much benold.

  • M273 burns massive oil

Hello dear forum, I have been driving a GL450 for about 4 months, year 2007 with M273 V8 petrol engine 190tk. With this control chain, camshaft adjuster, oil pump, sliding rails and various small parts which belong to it with original parts have been renewed. Checking the camshafts+storage was inconspicuous. The previous owner had changed the control chain already, a cheap set for 500 something €. There were camshaft adjusters, as well as the turning gear pretty tight. e already jam-like consistency, the whole engine had deposits. Since the engine was running quite impeccable during the purchase and afterwards and the rest was also in good condition I had hoped to have made a good purchase at that time. Because of this bad condition I thought I would do something good for the engine with original spare parts. My workshop cleaned the scmodder, rinsed the oil wells, even 2x. On the test drive the car ran like a sack of nuts. The engine spits out massive oil from 2500 rpm on the test drive. Hot on 2km 1-2L oil. Towing, Kat clean up with Mercedes contact, because this did not happen to the workshop. Afterwards a centrifuge was renewed, as well as the oil separator, which did not bring any improvement, still came massive oil out of the exhaust. Without KGE, i.e. hose pulled off the car ran great, as it should be and there was no oil. But this is the way one is allowed today The problems did not exist before. There was an M8 threaded pen in the middle of it and clogged it up. Why is the oil coming through there so strongly from 2500U? If I see the small holes on the oil separator, then they are not there to eliminate a flood, but only drops. If the piston rings were over, would there have to be oil there even if the KGE had been pulled off, or would the car have to be there before the repair Where does the oil drip out of the separator? Does anyone know such a problem or has their theory about it?

  • Rust on the windscreen frame

After a car wash that had been due for months, I found that rust was formed on the lower left windshield frame. 4 years ago, when I bought my 9000 cse, 110 kw, BJ 97, 185t km from a Saab dealer, the seller proudly told me that he had replaced the windshield for free because of many stone strokes. Since in the forum already several times about these rust spots was reported but the exchange in a Saab W until yesterday. I will or have to drive my Saab for a longer time – are there any recommendations from the forum (LC alias Kater41) how to deal with it? 3 years are still planned with my Swedes classic in which I don’t want to invest more than necessary, since in the meantime maybe some Euros accumulate again, which I then have available for a successor. What can you do? Guess me?? Thanks and greetings to the round neo saab fan

  • Light games…or: why wander to the distance!??

Moin moin together! My 9000CD Bj.88 has the following woe: After light travel (abbreviation light) this is temporarily after turning off the engine – even when turning the light switch in zero position – not extinguished. After once to x-time pressing the main light switch beyond the tip point (click) it is extinguished and then for the next time fulfilled its service without mucking again a few days… In addition, it could not be switched on at times, which was expressed so that I could flash up, but when the switch was released it was again called for short-sightedness. When the next floor wave was over, it was unexpectedly there again and more than once the picture left a light hopping enthusiastic pusher behind the front man. So and for a couple of days there is an end to the main light/light horn which also occasionally sample -Acting the main-beam switch or even eagerly run over from ground waves no longer change… My guess would be a wobble contact / cable break… but who knows where I first have to look at this model? Am still layman and liked to look as minimally invasive and purposeful as possible… Thank you in advance!

  • Where is he going? Power loss! New battery flat after 2 days of service life.

Hello and everyone here for the first time a happy new!!! So, but now enough of the phrases HELP !!! My 9000, 3.0 V6 pulls away a lot of electricity. Despite new Bat. was a start of the vehicle after 2 days of service no more. Yes, even the diode of the alarm system did not flash any more. I mean here in the forum once to have read about water breaks in the “Aquarium”, but could not find the respective post again (have so about until January 08 back leafed). I guess it is gena So the big question: How do I make my aquarium a “terrarium” ??? How do I dry it? Or are there ways to protect the elements in the “aquarium” in a simple way (which in my case means: for small money!) from the moisture? Now thank you to all who take care of my problem and have advice for me. Best regards *Stefan

  • Error Lambda probe

Hello SAAB 9000 community, we’ve been making my 97-er SAAB 9000 CS 2.0 ND automatic for weeks. The engine doesn’t run properly after a short driving time (it stutters) shows “check engine” and does not produce any performance. The “kick down” does not work either. There is always an error at the lamda probe. We have changed it already 2 times. Now even a factory new probe is in it. Always the same game! The Tech 2 diagnostic device shows the following specific error message: rcode P0130front Lambda sensor error code for sensor function Can any of you do something with it? Best regards kiebitz11
