  • Dkw Rt 175 Ignition lock

Hello, I got a Dkw Rt 175 Bj 1955 from an acquaintance and wanted to make it run again. Life of the machine about 30 years. Now first problem the ignition lock can be turned off so no resistance and also no spark so I think ignition lock defective. Can someone tell me which cables I have to merge so that the ignition is on and I can check if there is a spark or if there are still problems at the ignition. Greetings Andreas

  • Fox 1.2 has highest type classes

When I bought a second car in August, as a convinced VW driver only the small Fox came into question for me. The classification in liability 14 or fully comprehensive12 was also comparable with other vehicles in this class. With the new contribution calculation for 2007 came the shock. Now HP.17 or VK.15 both by say and write up 3 steps. Since these classifications are related to the damages caused by Fox Pilots I wonder why drive exactly so many Here are some similar cars from the VW Group: Polo 1.2 HP.14 / VK.14 or Fabia1.2 HP.16 / VK.13 or A2 1.4 HP.12 / VK.12 as well Seat Ibiza 1.4 HP.15 / VK.16 even the Golf V 1.4 has only in the HP.14 / VK. 15. What differences exist to these drivers who move one Fox? Driving with the others than no beginners.? Or is it due to his Brazilian temperament, VW wants to let the Fox run out of it.? So questions about questions.! ox drivers and your wallets (if you have to pay it yourself) an accident-free ride. helma1

  • Software Update Gearbox?

Hello guys, I bought a 451 last week, with 71hp engine, without MHD, EZ 11/07. But I did test drive with an MHD, EZ 01/09. Now I notice that my in automatic mode switches up a whole corner later. Mine only switches to the fourth at about 60, where the from the test drive has already done at about 45. Has there been a software update over time, which I could also play on my own? Oh yes, consumption: Exactly 6 liters. mo quite unfavorable track profile: Cold driving, immediately 4km a serpentine-like track uphill, about 4km. When I am up, it is warm, then it goes down 3km, and there it is again cold and then only city traffic and the same back. For that I am quite satisfied with the consumption.

  • Handbrake fixed after 10 minutes ?!!

Hello, now I have the little one only recently and now directly the first joy damper. I drove a few kilometers today. After approx. 200 km a break made, then again in the car and wanted to continue driving but the little one bucks himself up, wants to, but can not drive. So ADAC, which has listened to the whole short, grabs then aim-safe under the car and shakes a little at the Bowden trains of the parking brake and see there, the brake is off again as if nothing was wes He said it was because of the heat of the engine and he already experienced it a few times at SMART ́s who have stood for longer. …. sometimes quite seriously, I am not an expert on cars, but do such things as brake change etc. himself and can help me quite well in matters of cars, but what can lead to the heat of the engine the brakes go tight? Or differently asked, the car should be driven in the future by my wife and I do not want the it remains because of such a problem “little”. What can I do so that it does not happen again? In addition, the SMART when starting on the mountain almost absolutely needs the handbrake to not roll backwards, so the problems should be solved as soon as possible. I just don’t know where to start. Would be very grateful for advice. Mfg DerOnkel2002

  • Ignition and ignition switch broken I can’t do it! AUDI 80

Hello Audi driver, yesterday the Audi 80 of my parents did not jump any more.My dad was towed away. The ignition switch was defective – so a new one was fixed at Audi. Today I removed the cladding under the steering wheel as well as the cladding of the steering column + instrument cluster. Then I solved the 2 small screws (fixed with varnish) at the ignition switch to remove the switch and mount the new one. The problem is now that it is not very easy to install the new ignition switch. If I have the ignition key removed and the ignition switch is installed, the starter does not work – because the small plastic groove does not seem to grip.So again with the flashlight lit in and tries to understand what is the phase. As soon as the ignition key is plugged in and rotated slightly (e.g. first ignition position) a pin jumps forward which probably touches the inner plastic pin in the ignition switch and thus closes a contact. At the ignition lock always hangs at a different position – so I set the groove by screwdriver at 9 o’clock which corresponds to the position of the ignition switch – if I put the whole thing together and screw-in I attach the impression that nothing is right in there but slips around. So the starter does not work either. When I turn the key the instruments ect on – but as soon as the ignition position comes to an end – when I then get the key back on Off and off I’m with my Latinum at the endum and hope for your help. I’ve already thought about expanding this whole cylinder but there’s no rush – do you have to expand all the front fittings? Would be grateful for any help.

  • Now buy a new convertible (F57) or JCW?

Hello Forum, after I stopped riding a motorcycle and sold a convertible from Stuttgart production, I think about buying a Mini Cabrio. I drive to Lake Constance on weekends, through the Black Forest and am the cruiser who never drives fast, but appreciates reserves to overtake. What does the Schwarmintelligence think: buy F57 or wait for the new model from 2024? 2. S or JCW? Thank you.

  • Mini One 1.2L 75 hp stutters and goes out after cold start

Hello MINI community, did not find anything suitable in the search, therefore opened up new topic… My wife’s Mini One has been having problems with cold start for a few days (since it became a bit colder). And indeed, the engine stutters a short time, sometimes it goes out completely. It was like this already in the summer, but not so bad, because he caught himself quickly and did not go out. I have read out error memory, but with deleted errors I can not do anything at all . don’t know how to interpret them. Unfortunately, there is nothing to be found on the internet. Does the mini have its own wrong codes, is there possibly a table to re-encrypt? I attach both scrennshots, vlt. has one of you a tip. Mini One First Bj 03/2016 1.2 L / 75 PS 50 Tkm run Thank you!

  • Mini Card Update

Because I find the map material in the Navi quite old, I would like to check if an update is available. I should install the mini update manager via Ministore for Win. It lands a file with the extension crdownload at the downloads. With Google Chrome I just can’t get this file open. On the Internet at least 10 experts give an answer: all answers do not help. What can I do? How can I get an update? (The update must be copied to USB Stick and then be installed in the car. )
